    If you can't lift your bag over your head, why should you expect anyone else to? Remember, flight crews are not allowed to lift your bag into the overhead bin. If your bag is too heavy, check it.

    • @Sparklingtravels
      @Sparklingtravels 3 дні тому

      You're absolutely right-passengers should pack bags they can lift themselves, as flight crew can’t assist for safety reasons. If lifting is an issue, consider checking-in your bag or politely ask another passenger for help!

    If it's been a while since you last showered or did your laundry, please do so the day before your flight; and as much as you may like that "ocean breeze" scented laundry detergent, floral-scented shampoo, or body spray or cologne, some of your fellow passengers can have serious issues, ranging from sensory overload, to migraines or asthma, to life-threatening allergic reactions, so for everyone's sake, please use unscented products.

    • @Sparklingtravels
      @Sparklingtravels 5 днів тому

      💯 Agree! Good hygiene makes the journey more comfortable for everyone on board. Plus, unscented products are a thoughtful choice for those with sensitivities. Thanks for the great reminder!

      Absolutely agree-respecting shared spaces on a plane is basic etiquette. No one wants to see or feel someone's feet where they don’t belong, especially on the seatback. Let's keep it considerate for everyone!

    My wife is the queen of finding bargains. When we fly to China to visit her family, she’s generally able to buy miles online with a credit card deal and get us business class seats. On a 12-14 hour trans pacific flight, having ample space and good food and drinks makes a huge difference. Another tip-if you’re flying overseas fly a foreign airline if you can. The best service I’ve ever had in my life was on Hainan Airlines from the US to China and back. We had our own chef in business class and the airline provided comfortable pajamas if you want something more comfortable to wear while you sleep. They also provided a bag to store my street clothes in and hung up my Oxford shirt so it wouldn’t get wrinkled. Flight attendants also will make up your lie flat bed for a nice comfortable sleep. With the deal my wife found it didn’t cost much more than a full fare coach ticket on a US carrier. I’ve never had better food, drinks, and comfortable sleep on a plane in my life. The airline also provided a concierge who greeted our flight with a sign with our names on it and an expedited escort through customs and immigration and to a well appointed lounge to await our domestic connection from Beijing to Shanghai where my wife’s family met us. The 2 hour domestic flight had full meals and beverage service as well. We also flew a foreign airline from Baltimore to London and back. Nonstop service and excellent business class accommodations on British Airways. Plus we had access to a lovely arrivals lounge after our redeye from Baltimore to Heathrow with full English breakfast and showers. It was great to kick back and relax for a few hours until it was time to catch our bus up to Bath. Bottom line- look into all your credit card accounts. If you’ve planned well, you can access deals or buy miles economically that will allow you to upgrade your ticket to business class and a much more pleasant trip without the expense of buying a business class ticket outright.

    With the astronomical fares, why are airplanes still so uncomfortable and cramped. Unfortunately consumers have know choice but to deal with it but geesh.

    • @Sparklingtravels
      @Sparklingtravels 10 днів тому

      Airlines often have cramped and uncomfortable seating because of a practice called "seat densification," which allows them to fit more passengers on each flight. This maximizes profits by selling more tickets per flight, especially in economy class. To do this, they reduce the legroom (seat pitch), narrow the width of seats, and reduce the recline. Other reasons include: Cost Efficiency: Airlines aim to lower ticket prices by keeping operational costs low, and cramming more passengers into smaller spaces helps maintain profitability. Fuel Costs: More passengers per flight can help offset high fuel expenses, especially for long-haul flights. Demand and Competition: Budget airlines are especially known for packing more passengers in, making up for low-cost fares with smaller, less comfortable seating. Premium economy or business class offers more comfort, but that comes with a much higher price tag.

      @Sparklingtravels so, most important if someone tell you that it is "random", it means they can prove it otherwise it is lie. Purpose is a fairy tale that it is random, so people will not asking questions and follow security orders. This system can stamp some people like black mark and they get SSSS every ticket when fly to US. There is no explanation of why this happens.
