Very excited to see the Alaska quilt finished. It really is exceptionally beautiful. The colours seem to shimmer. It looks so special. I have enjoyed the journey if this quilt. The owners must be so happy. Such respect to the talented Amish ladies.

Such stunning quilts. Is the quilting done by hand?

The pink flower is cleome (spider flower), my mum asked me once if she had something that wasn't allowed to grow in her garden. It had self sown and when I saw the flower - I said not to worry! It was OK. It turned out to be so pretty, pale pink and white! The quilt and the quilting itself is absolutely beautiful.

Oh Rose, the Alaska quilt is stunning!!!! The quilting on the quilt is beyond spectacular!!! The wife of the man who ordered it is certainly going to appreciate all of the work involved, from the picking of the different shades of blues and creams and tans, to the piecing and of course the quilting. I applaud you and Anna for all of your hard work. I don't know how the man who ordered it is going to be able to wait until Christmas to give it to his wife. Please remember to insure the quilt as you send it on it's way. Hopefully he will call you to let you know he received it safely. God's Blessings.

First, thank you for sharing your video. I've watched hundreds of videos in an effort to self-teach what I don't know... but want to learn. Makes sense? Reading comments also enlightens me about "how-to". Reading "@MarB3942"'s comment re; camera work, I've wanted to comment on presenters methods and share a pet-peeve... hearing the presenter say "like so"... I've searched the internet and can't find "so", what or who is "so"... my point is that at least those sharing their time and talent are far above what I know, and who am I to criticize? (well, that's not a criticism, just a bit of my pettiness showing). I've never posted a video and I'm so grateful for being allowed to visit the home, studio, wherever with the presenter who will never know of my existence. So, dear one, thank you so very much for your gracious manners and kindness to share your time and talent.... whatever the topic. You and your guests are greatly appreciated. Kindest regards to all.

I made Alaska but my extra border was a block in the quilt i gifted it to my mother in law after my father in law passed. It went on his bed.

I did enjoy - I loved the ride across country and lovely puffy clouds in the blue sky, I loved the auction - which is amazing, the flowers, the craft and quilts - and I loved seeing the washing on the line against clear blue sky blowing in the breeze and I loved seeing your quilt top. Guess what - raining here with storms to the north of us and you made me smile - can't stop smiling now! Thank you. xx

Oh how beautiful the Alaska quilt is becoming......now watch how the quilting will enhance the sewn pieces......I'm so looking forward to seeing it in the woman's possession when all is said and done. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be sure to insure the package when you mail it to her husband......too many horror stories about quilts being "LOST" in the mail. I'd love to see her face when she receives it.
