Thanksgiving Cooking Tips, Deep Fried Turkey Fire
Albuquerque Fire Rescue would like everyone to have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Unattended cooking is the leading cause of cooking related fires, injuries and deaths. Thanksgiving Day results in three times the daily average for cooking fires. Follow a few simple tips to ensure a safe and happy holiday.
Always deep fry your thawed turkey outdoors. Carefully monitor oil level and temperature. Make sure turkey is dry before frying.
If you experience a stove top fire, cover the pan or pot with a lid. Never put water on a grease fire. Always have a properly rated fire extinguisher nearby when cooking.
Clean your oven before Thanksgiving. If a fire occurs in the oven, turn off heat and leave oven door closed.
Check your smoke alarms and fire extinguishers.
If you experience a fire immediately call 911.
Some preparation, education and common sense will reduce your chances of having to call 911 this Thanksgiving.

Looks like Jason is growing that Mo-Vember Mustache!!
Finally. Simple. It's AFib with a rate above 100. Simple. Never heard anyone talk about QT data on the 12 lead.
Better not leave the doors unlocked to your class room. Better remember to lock them doors. Come back to a classroom that a tornado went through. Hahahah
excellent stuff-great for a medic student like myself! thank you
Godisfiregodisgod

All the pretty butterflies died. I think I'll cry.
Lord I hope this patient has a good support system and an easy going recovery
Good detailed info, I enjoyed seeing it from an x-ray
Why don't you caring people cover alcohol? Kratom really? How about making olive oil a precription.
GO F*CKIN GET EM BROTHERS!!
Faces Of Death fire
Tremendous podcast with a bunch of practical gems and implementations to add to a healthy regimen
Why is he waiting to intubate when I cones to possible airway burns? Doctor had right idea it should've been done needle cric is trash breathing compared to intubation…. Could've went the other way cause that airway do swell up fast
Per what was said, the patient was already bucking the basic airway maneuvers. AFR does not RSI. Thank you for your comment
Beautiful presentation Doc, thank you!!!
They saved the financial records!! Good Job people!
What does that even mean?
@@virgilhilts3924Towards the end of the video you can see the boxes of paperwork and records.

Do you guys have a list of all your dispatch codes for those of us who may not live in Albuquerque and know what you're referring to when you say a 71D?
💖👏💪🙏 Bless our first responders, true heroes!
Walt why did you throw that fulminate on the ground right next to the fuel storage?
droperidol works by blocking dopamine receptors in the brain and can give people with ADHD/autism dystonic reactions and has been shown to lead to musclular issues in long use patients.
It seems like this fire department is the gold standard for how a fire department should be run. Are you guys hiring medics? 😂❤
The one dude crying after seeing his beloved friend, brother leave the department. Shows how much of a family AFR is.
Good thing you edited that last part out haha
Great stuff...as usual
I have used the bottle cap technique and it absolutely works!!
Bottle cap technique?
@@thatguysky123 Yes, look at the UA-cam channel called, Medical Directors Minute. Check out the video by Dr. Bryan Everitt. I used this on a patient and it worked well to stop the bleeding. We also used Whole Blood and by the time we got to the hospital, the patient was hemodynamically stable and A&OX4.
Good video 👍🏼🙌🏼
This was a fantastic case study. You taught me things that I didn't know. I hope you have a great day, and stay safe ❤️🙂⚘️🚒👨🚒.
It is so sad when we have to save drug addicts every time knowing they will do it again. When do we stop saving them.
Very helpful 🎉
Hi just to clarify I have had Dystonic Reactions about 15 times. It was because I’m allergic to anti Nausea medication such as stemitle, Maxalon.and another kind of anti nausea medication. Not Psychotic medication at ALL. HOWEVER A MED CALLED SORRY ABOUT THE PRONUNCIATION COJENTON ? Acts as an instant reversible medication to the Dystonic reaction. Secondly it can take 8 to 10 hours with usually extreme anxiety being the first encounter that this reaction is going to take place. Sadly as mentioned Drs or Nurses. Will usdume drug seeking behaviour wich is extremely tragic having this nightmare ending ASAP. HOPE MY INFO HELPS MANY PEOPLE WHO DONT HAVE DRUG ISSUES BUT HAVE LEARNT TO GET HELP ASAP. BUT STILL THEY WAIT UP TO AN HOUR FOR YOUR MEDICAL CHART TO ARRIVE AS AS USUAL EVERYONE WITH TATTOOS HAVING A DYSTONIC REACTION IS A DRUG SEEKER..NO NO NO DAMMM NOT TRUE… LISTEN TO THE PATIENT NOT TO YOUR INNER SELF. AS THIS CAN CREATE LONGER SUFFERING WICH SHOULD NEVER EVER HAPPEN.. THANK YOU BEST OF LUCK.
Youre smart. 🫡
I overdosed 3 times on Amytriptiline but alas I was saved
When will recruiting start?
Let me preface this with a little family history. My mother's side of the family are almost all alcoholics. Her father ran his car of a bridge around the age of 50, because he was drunk driving, and 2 of her 3 brothers died in their 40s, from alcoholism. My mother, although not as bad they were, is also an alcoholic. I didn't meet my father until i was 24, and when i did, i found out that he also drank at least a 12 pack of beer a day. I spent most of my life addicted to alcohol since age 14. By 16, I was drinking every night to the point of being drunk. At 25, I started drinking in the morning and all day long. I needed 5 or 6 drinks before work just so I wouldn't shake so bad. Several times, I tried to quit drinking, and within 36 hours, I would go into seizures. Did the detox a few times, but wasn't strong enough to stay away from the alcohol. Went away to a great Christian rehab in 2011. It was a 9 week program and i made it through sober. I followed that up with living at a Christian halfway house for 3 months. Life was new. I was new. It was great. But at some point, you have to live in the unprotected "real world". Within a few months, I started getting those alcohol cravings back. This was 2012. I didn't want to go down that road that has brought me and my loved ones so much pain. So I started searching on the internet and found out about a leaf called kratom that some alcoholics had used to quit and abstain from alcohol. I wasn't drinking yet, but was real close. I was very skeptical, but I was desperate not to go back into my own personal hell. It took about a few weeks to get my dosage right, but it worked. I couldn't believe it. I could make it through the day and not be fighting those generational demons that had haunted me my whole life. It was too good to be true. I took it everyday and my quality of life reached a level i had never witnessed or thought possible. Then in 2015/2016, I had heard that kratom was getting banned. I had just had my first daughter and didn't want to put that in jeopardy by having illegal substances in my home, so I quit taking kratom. Within 3 weeks, started drinking again. Within 4 months, I had lost everything, including my marriage, license again, job, and relationship with my daughter. February 1, 2017 I enrolled myself in a year long rehab. Did great there. I can stay sober in a protected atmosphere with no temptaion around me, but unfortunately the world isn't like that. After graduating that program i decided that i would start life over in a whole new area to me just miles from where this rehab was. Within a few weeks, the cravings for alcohol was creeping back. I surely didn't want to go down that road again. I was 40 years old and didn't have much fight or hope in me left should i give in to my addiction. I remember thinking to myself, if only kratom didn't get banned. (I forgot to mention that at the year long rehab, we had no television, internet, etc, so had no way to keep up with what was going on in the real world, let alone the news on kratom). Little did I realize, it was never banned. I ordered some immediately. I sit here writing this 5 years later. I have remarried, I see my child regularly, I have excelled at my job. I own 3 cars (most of my life I barely owned 1 because of DUIs, and lack of financial resources because of my addiction). These last 5 years have been my best. I could have saved myself from alot of pain had I found this earlier in life. But I'm lucky. 12 of the guys I was in the year long rehab with, have died from overdose. There is some guilt about me not keeping up with them as good as I should have, because I could have probably saved a few of them by telling them about kratom. I will be forever grateful for this leaf, that gave me a life i never thought was possible.
These guys had no idea even what kratom is. They need to be truly educated on the pros and cons of kratom and the difference between lab tested, extracts and isolates. It matters. Also, there's never been a toxicology report shown that has ONLY kratom in the system regardless of what other comments claim.
The person that was explaining to the firefighters what kratom is was describing gas station kratom which is NEVER a good thing. I wish gas stations and smoke shops weren't allowed to sell it because there's a huge possibility that it's NOT pure lab tested kratom. Pure lab tested kratom powder is safe when consumed RESPONSIBLY.
Kratom 100% does cause pinpoint pupils. Were the pupils pinpoint?
Hello, when would class start date be for the 104th class?
Thank you for sharing this video. Keep spreading awareness My son died from mitragynine toxicity. He had nothing else in his system and was very healthy. He consumed a GMP certified product for 2 1/2 yrs before passing and also had 2 grand mal seizures months before passing away .
Thank you for this video. Kratom can be very dangerous.
The American Kratom Association are not scientists. The full science is not in yet on Kratom. My healthy, 30 year old son died from Kratom.
I've got a file with at least 500 studies on kratom not done by the American Kratom Association.

Thank u doctor. We just have a patient with this same ECG tracing who had an acute myocardial infarction with an elevated troponin i result, with diffuse ST depression and an ST elevation on lead AVR,. Our cardiologist discussed this at the ER and it’s exactly the same explanation. Thank u for this…
