Escape to the Country - Dorset
Highlights from Alistair Appleton and Jules Hudson's property hunt in Dorset with two couples who were searching for dream rural homes in one county.
In this special programme, we showcase Dorset's property gems and offer hints and tips on buying in the county. RIP Jonnie Irwin
I can't believe they didn't go for house #1. It was gorgeous.
Primrose ??? They are called Daffodils in the United States . Look's nothing like what we call a Primrose.
there are 1000 varieties across the planet.
Love all the houses but that view in the second one was Beautiful .
A great show wand a lovely couple. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💚🥰🤗
Nice they are looking for a place to keep mum at home as well. The US is fond of dumping them, even if the family is against it. 😢
P
jhonny escape to the
Sad he's got terminal cancer
THIS PRESENTER/AGENT IS WAY OUT OF HIS CLASS DEALING WITH WELL-HEALED PROFESSIONALS! JHONNY-BOY IS AN EAST-END COCKNEY CHAV! BETTER SUITED SELLING BACK-TO-BACK HOUSES WITH OUTSIDE TOILETS AND COLD-RUNNING WATER THROUGH OUT! HE SHOULD STAND CLOSER TO THE RAZOR NEXT TIME HE SHAVES! EH! WHAT CHAPS!
Time wasters !!
Lovely video. Love you Johnny ❤❤ Wishing you all the best 🙏🙏 gorgeous couple..I hope they chose well and are happy 🙏🙏 and George the farmer is so adorable..😊

I love Johnny! Prayers going out for him as he battles cancer.
Why does this show costantly show houses the buyers dont want or they show the buyers houses that are 10 Thousand.....twenty thousand and thirty thousand dollars over their limit?
love you Johnny ,you are a legend .Great show love the way you explain the history and the culture .

Not enough illegal immigrants. Send 10,000 more for cultural enrichment
Thks to the British Empire!
Dorset is so beautiful. Happy for this couple. I hope they love their new home! Enjoyed the it on beach polo as well. ETTC is always a treat!
Funny to see the host so young 😀
I enjoy Johnny. I love this show, it relaxes me so much. The music, the beautiful countryside, just the sweetness of it all.
left is now right.. lol..
Avoid Wiltshire. Don't live here if your disabled or if you have disabled Kids. Wiltshire Council organised a hate crime campaign against me and my family because we complained about them failing to provide a special education plan for our disabled child who has both physical and learning disabilities.
I think they wanted too much in a property. There are only the two of them for goodness sake
Like many of the couples who appear on this show, this couple don't actually know what downsizing means - totally ridiculous!
Some audio and scenes are missing or video is jumping around This is a poor example of your skills I will not subscribe
The best thing comes to those who waited.
Lawrence of Arabia is buried in Dorset.. I learn something new every day!
This series disappoints because it doesn't show what the people really want.
I enjoy getting to know the English countryside better. Lovely people. Beautiful place. 🌹
Indeed
I really dislike this woman. Husband is such a coward. Mystery House was the choice and she's a bully.
What awful houses. Britain really needs to up it's game when it comes to housing.
I don’t think she knows how much room she wants
I LOVE the pig info!!!!
Chopped mess.
Imagine being the grandchild , aka, the other child.
i didnt notice if they had a son and a daughter but it seems like they did so the mom of the daughter would be most welcome to babysit, than as the mother of the son, where the mother of his wife would be the preferred babysitter in that house. by the son's wife anyway. so i can see it if that is the case. :)
November 2021 -- This video has almost nothing in it about the houses or the showing of said houses. There is only a long bit about Beach Polo and the wrap-up comments by the presenter at the end. WHAT A RIP-OFF ! ! ! What is the point of putting this up for people to view when it is totally a waste of time??????? I am not sure what the other commenters saw when they viewed it. Only one of them had the same experience as I. Perhaps, when The Power initially loaded this video, there was a complete episode. Then, to get around youtube rules, The Power took out all the parts of the episode which would have made it necessary to remove the entire thing. You should have just removed the whole video. This version in essentially useless -- unless you want to know about the beach polo that takes place in the small sea-side resort town -- in which case you should have a different title to this video.
The first house is gorgeous.
One of my favorite programs ever. That and the one about moving to a market town are fantastic! Hope you will continue to post these shows as they become available.
I find it amusing that at the start they wanted to move because they felt their bungalow was too big for them once the kids moved out but each of the homes they looked at are even bigger.
People usually say what they think the need to do, but when you see these beautiful homes the get you, and every thought you had goes out the window. I say if I were younger, I would move to England just to find one of these beautiful homes.
The schoolhouse was ridiculously overpriced, no real garden, no garage, 1 nice bedroom, the others poky, neighbours right on top of you. Who would spend so much to live like that? Renting a garage in the village isn't practical for them as they get older and no visitor parking either. The coachhouse had character but also no garden, just a cobbled courtyard. It is not what you envisage when you imagine moving to the countryside and it has a staircase that wouldn't be particularly safe for them as they get older or for young grandchildren.
how much space do you really need, he looks like a shit paul smith catalogue character
