Go to the rover store, under the sitter shop tab there is a promo materials option and that will take to rover business cards!

When you get a client, you just follow the instructions on the app? New to this? Haven't got a client yet.
The app will tell you where they live. & you mainly just use the app to document walk time, that you gave them food and/or water & you’ll take pictures of animal. Most of the real instructions are from the client themselves.
@@reganriley2930 Thanks, you're talking about dog sitting, correct? I will start doing dog walking only.
@@ThePandacub69 either really they’ll have to tell you how to get in to their place & where the leash is!
@@reganriley2930 I will have to get into the client's apartment to get the leash and start walking the dog, depending on the owners, correct? Thanks.
@@reganriley2930 OK, got it, thanks
Thanks for the tips and clearing up our confusion!
Thank you for this video. I've created most of my profile up to paying the $35 fee. One thing that bothers me is going in people's houses and later then saying you took something. Not that I would EVER, but you know how people are. Did you have this fear?
I’ve never thought about that…till now. Hahaha! I’ve only had good experiences so far w clients😅
How's the working out in '22?
Can I do this as a 14 year old???
You have to be at least 18!
I love you 😘
Just got rover and my first client. Hope it is fun! Putting on the harness is harder than i thought
Can you get paid in check or only card
I haven’t been on rover in a while now. But I use to get paid through PayPal. Which I could transfer to my bank.
I love being a rover sitter! Just curious what area of the country you live in that $400 nearly covers your rent 😭 I need to move wherever that is!
It wouldn't now hahah! I'm in Springfield Missouri:)
I want a regan
I might have missed it how much do you make per walk?
Depends what you set your rates as. Remember rover takes a percentage out of it.
@@reganriley2930 thank you!
Thank you so much for this video! I really enjoyed watching your perspective. I do this as well on the side, but wanted to see what your point of view was. You have very useful tips! I subscribed :)
Thank you so much!
I make $450 or more a month too I am glad cause I work in the vet field and this is some extra money to make easily
That is amazing Jenny!! Thank you for sharing.
Love this video
Ragan, thank you! Love your name btw;)
No more videos? 😟
Hey Logan! One is coming soon:) Life has been crazy lately!
These were such great tips thank you!! I have 4 reviews and 1 repeat client so far, i never knew the tip about updating your calendar every week thats amazing! Also i checked sitters in my area and changed my rate to compete
So good to hear. Glad I could help!
This video convinced me to go ahead with Rover. Thank you! Also, full support for coming infront of the camera and talking about stuff like this. More impact than you'd think
Keep me updated!! Thank you so much for this nice comment.
Did you get a license for this
I have a question about the rover! Why is the rover application asking me for the Social Security Number, and the Debit Card info?
Are you doing a back ground check? I don’t remember signing up & what was required. Make sure you do it through the right app or website!
@@reganriley2930, I am doing it on the website and it's asking me for the SS#, and bank card #, I don't know why!
Aside from the deductions from rover, do you have to file for taxes? This has me confused, i don't want to get in any trouble, thank you!!
Yes you have to file your own taxes
How do you update your calendar? Feel like I've been thru every nook and cranny of this app. Can't find it.
It should just be the middle bottom icon unless they updated it…maybe try on a computer?
😍😍😍😍
I literally just started two months ago , I’ve already made about $300! Thanks for the tips
Wow! That's awesome!!
Hi Regan your video is spot on! I joined Rover a few months ago and love it. I’m retired and have 3 acres, so most of my business has been boarding. It’s been interesting caring for different breeds. Right now I’m caring for 2 Great Danes which at first we’re a little intimidating, but they’re big sweeties. I’ve subscribed to your channel. Thanks again for all of your great advice.
Thank you so much for your comment Michael and thanks for subscribing! It sounds like you have an awesome set up!
Hi , thank you for the video If I do rover what’s the farest should go for a drop in visit ? In order to make some money ? Like how many miles far the most ? Thank you
Really just depends on how much you make on the visit. I usually base everything on time. How long will it take you to drive there and back + complete it? If it takes an hr total and you make $20 that's not too bad.
Hey! Thanks for sharing your rover insight! I’ve been considering it! 1. Is it bad that I don’t have a pet of my own right now but I do have experience? 2.How is instacart going? I didn’t see the video!
Hi Alana! I don't think that's bad at all. It will make you even more available + boarding a dog if you don't already have one in your home might make it easier. I haven't really gotten into Instacart yet, I recently got into Spark delivery for Walmart and have made great money. It might be the topic of my next video. Stay tuned!!
@@reganriley2930 cool! Can’t wait to hear!
You should definitely do it! I’m a stay at home wife and I just started rover July 1st and I’ve made 6,000 not including tips. If you love dogs this is the best job to do you get to play with furrbabys all day and make some extra cash 🐾
I’ve started this a few days ago, I haven’t had anybody book me yet… I’m a college student and I’m gonna need some money. Any tips?
Make your prices competitive, have friends write reviews, upload good quality photos of yourself with a dog, update calendar weekly! Hope that helps!
Thank you so much Regan, this is very helpful. I just started with my first client, this tips you're giving its very important to keep in mind. We live in a big world and knowing how to manage things is a MUST. Again thank you so much! ❤😊🥰
Thank you for this sweet comment! Glad I could help!
Lots of good tips here and I espacially like the one about updating your calendar once a week so that it helps put you to the top of the list more. Here's some of my tips and some of these she went over but this is just my personal experience. If you're just starting out on Rover and trying to get verified I would highly recommend doing the more expensive background check because for like on-demand dog walks it's supposedly required to have that higher option for Rover Go. And I know some people won't even bad and I over that were barely even read your profile but you're going to get the super word pet parents that are afraid to leave their dog with a stranger and any extra Comfort helps so having that extra background check badge does help with some people. Also yes that is a big help there if your just starting out. Have your prices low or as low as you feel comfortable. For me for the walks I had it as low as I possibly could which was $10 which is what the lowest Roper allows you to set it as so there was a couple people in my area that had $10 walks. But for everything else such as boardings, sittings, and drop-ins I made sure that mine was at least a dollar lower than the lowest person in the area. And you don't actually have to go onto the website to do this. You can go into the app and tap the more Tab and then tap book a service and then you can look at each category and see people in your area although when you look at one category and you tap on the person it shows their rates for the other options they have too. Now this won't happen to everybody but my first day that I was approved I already got a request that evening for a boarding for one night but of course it was like an emergency boarding this person had a family emergency and they had to leave out of the house and they couldn't bring the dog with them. Also another thing to that sucks is that clients can request more than one border or dog walker or drop-in. So you'll get a request like friends since his first one I got a request for that one Knight boarding and Ivy Lee within like 20 seconds of receiving the notification which is key as soon as you know that you got a notification for a new dog walk, boarding, sitting, or drop-in you want a mediately respond to client because it helps with your response time but also to it's crucial when you're first starting out to try to accept what you get. But anyways I accepted that and I had some other plans but I made this a priority and of course because the client had sent out requests to other people in the area and it kept saying pending client's request. The right thing for the client to do what I've to cancel the request she had with me as soon as she got someone else so that I did get kept waiting because I could have still have my other plans but I was waiting and waiting and waiting I was making this a priority and so I didn't want to like go ahead with my other plans and then they message me back and say hey yeah I'm still interested. I got another request for another emergency boarding. This one I was a little bit slower on responding to because I didn't see it right away cuz I was out and about and so I messaged the person and said I'm interested in doing it if you haven't found someone else already. I didn't hear back until like 15-20 minutes later but I thought it was going to be the same thing where they'd already found someone and then didn't bother to cancel the request. But the client ended up responding and it works out and was able to do the boarding. Another thing to to note is that when you have people leave testimonials or like reviews on your page that aren't verified bookings where when you start out you can send out links to people that are your friends and family to leave good reviews on your page. It will show those reviews on your page but it's not going to show Stars by them so some people make it a little confused by that and see that there's the reviews but you don't have any stars. That's because they were just reviews reviews and not verified booking so even though that helps a little bit that you have those reviews on there it's going to help more once you start receiving like your five stars or whatever. Also along the lines with setting your prices out low like I mention mine was ridiculously low and people may have been wondering why is there solo and I even put in my description why are my prices so low it's because I'm new to Rover and I'm hoping to get clients and that are satisfied clients and will come back to me as a repeat client later on. Then they've had experience with using me and they're not going to feel so bad that the price is higher. Also to another beneficial thing if you're doing a boarding there's no way to do Rover Cards which I wish there was because on boardings most people are going to walk the dogs and clients might want to see where you walk the dogs and how long and how far. So because there is only Rover Cards for drop-ins and dog walks I recommend getting some sort of GPS Fitness tracking app or something where it actually shows a map and it will show a line of Everywhere You Walked along the map and the distance that you walk the dog and how many minutes it took and screenshot that and crop out any unwanted stuff that you don't want them to see such as like your notification bar at the top or something. Then you can send that to your client as a photo in the messaging portion of the app. Whether they're familiar with Rover Cards are unfamiliar either way it shows that you're going above and beyond to let them know about updates. If clients are really familiar with Rover Cards do also know that they don't get those with boardings and only dog walks. Another thing that helps to to get clients as if it is an emergency situation and they need to just find a boarder and they're kind of far from you you can always say in the messages to I know that you're a little bit of a distance away but I don't mind coming to pick up your dog and dropping them off if distance is an issue. Because also to in your settings you can actually add an additional fee for picking up and dropping off the clients dog if you so choose to do that. Also too as a courteous to other clients, make sure you are up-to-date constantly on your availability on your calendar. So if you have a week where it says you're available to do dog walks boardings or sittings or drop-ins and then something changes for that week or four specific day make sure you immediately go in and adjust that. That way when clients are looking for someone to do a dog walk, boarding, sitting, or drop-in. It will show that you're not available during those times and they can skip you and move on to someone else because clients in a certain. Of time I think it's like a week can only send requests just so many people and then they have to wait and that would be super annoying for me as a client when I need to set up another boarding, Dog walk, or drop-in and it tells me I have reached my limit. Lastly she mentioned whatever cons is starting out you have to have lower rates to be competitive. I guess that's kind of true but I don't think of it that way I think it is I'm going to have competitive rates I'm going to get new clients and hopefully they'll revoke with me later on when it's a higher price. Also too if you have lower rates that leaves more room for the owner to tip higher which is actually good because Robert doesn't take any fees out of the tips but they do out of the services.

How are you liking rover so far?
@@reganriley2930 so far so good! My profile just opened up a week ago and I've already gotten 3 requests. Seems like busy times right now with people going back to work and traveling again.
How do like it ? I just made mines also but no requests yet
Love this video 🔥🔥🔥
Beautiful i Like
Hello! So I have the rover app and it asked me for a $25 background check and I’m wondering if it’s worth doing that? I’m signed up and eager to start but the only thing holding me back a bit is the background check haha. Thank you in advance for replying to my comment!💕✨
That’s a great question. I did it immediately because pretty much everyone in my area had the badge on their profile. So I’m not sure if it did make a difference or not. I can tell you though that it wasn’t hard to make back that money. Also if you refer someone to be a sitter you do get money if they use your link and sign up! $50 I believe (if they complete a stay within 90 days) so maybe you could split the cash w them!
@@reganriley2930 oh wow that’s pretty neat! I may do that! Haha I may also just try out my flyers first for a while and if that’s slow I’ll just sign up for rover! Thank you so much for the reply!💕✨
