    Question. The spray. Do you only apply it to the outside of the tent or the inside too?

    Note to anyone viewing this: feeding insects found in your yard is NOT safe, as they could have pesticides or other hazardous things on them that could make your pet sick or worse. Additionally, this vivarium is terrible. Too small, nowhere near the proper lighting/heating, and ideally you would want front open access instead of top. The last part is due to your interaction with the dragon. If they see you come from above all the time, they'll associate you as a predator and your mere presence will stress them out and cause issues.

    Still enjoying it? Went camping in my old 12 man yesterday, things breaking, time for a new one lol. Same foot print as my old Swiss. Yours looks a lot easier to setup. How is it in the rain? This is the best video of this tent on UA-cam thank you

      I haven’t been camping in the rain. But we sprayed it down with weather guard protection. And it has been great. There is always dew in the morning on the outside but everything inside is nice and dry.

      No it doesn’t. You would need to do that on your own risk. It has vents but they are not big enough to put a window a/c in it.

    Terrific video! I own one as well and would offer two additions: 1) It is super-easy to take on and off (might demonstrate), and 2) when folded 2/3s, you can drive with a 5th Wheel on a 6.75' box.

    Thank you for making this video. I love Honest reviews vs. sponsored reviews. I really like the cover. But had a few questions. How much water do you get inside it when it rains/carwash? When you purchase it, is a lock offered? How much wind noise when driving the freeway? Do the rods come loose (found dangling) like the Bakflip Mx4 model?

    • @slowturttle
      @slowturttle 3 роки тому

      Hello Mike, thank you for your feed back. And your questions are pretty good. I live in southern California so we don’t get much rain here. I have opened it to see if there is any water inside after a car wash and it is bone dry. I does a great job of keeping the water out. I leave items inside sometimes boxes and I never find the cartons to be wet. However that might not be the same story if you live in an area that has super hard rain or hurricanes. There is no lock offered, you can only open it when you open your tailgate. Newer trucks have locks on the tailgate, when you lock your doors the tailgate also locks and won’t open. It doesn’t create any wind noise. No whistle or rattle when I drive on the freeway and I’ve hit soeeds of 90+ with out being distracted from the cover making some type of noise. And I have never found the rod’s dangling inside. They have never came loose on me. One new thing I did experience is your MPG,s go up very little with the cover on the truck. But if the cover is folded all the way to the front in the upright position ( for example when you have something tall and big and need the cover all the way up and towards the cab) with the rods engaged then your MPG’s go down because your creation more drag on the truck. And even then it doesn’t make any noise or whistles down the freeway when I hit high speeds. But your MPG’s will get reduced from 18/19 MPG to about 16/17 MPG. I had to carry 2 wine barrels and other equipment and I needed it up for a 45 mile drive.

      @@slowturttle so did the install require drilling on the carbon pro bed?

    • @slowturttle
      @slowturttle 3 роки тому

      @@mikedl361 this one is not the carbon pro bed, the cover is mad out of aluminum on top and bottom and the aluminum on top has a gripping finish that is scratch resistant. (Very nice, I like it). And no drilling required. But you need to take in mind that might not be the case with your vehicle. For my truck and the cover I got I did not need to do any drilling. Perhaps for this same cover on a different truck you might need to drill. The best thing to do would be to contact them and you can give them your VIN # and I’m sure they can give you the best choices for what cover you will need. Good luck if you decide to go with under armor. I like my cover and I would recommend it to everyone.

    Why not spend the extra $ getting a crew cab?

    • @slowturttle
      @slowturttle 3 роки тому

      I didn’t need the crew cab. So why pay extra for something I’m not going to really need. I don’t have a big family wilt kids or use my truck to carry people around. Every one has different needs and different uses for their belongings.

    Does it lock with the gate?

    • @slowturttle
      @slowturttle 3 роки тому

      It sits on top of the gate. And yes it locks from the rails not allowing anyone to lift it up or open it. You will need to open your gate and pull on the unlocking mechanism in order to be able to open it. If your gate locks then no one will get in. But if you have an older truck that doesn’t lock people will can get in by opening your gate and then lifting the panels.

    Great detailed review! I just ordered one directly from Undercover. Does it rattle at all while driving? To take the cover off and leave the rails, do you just remove the two hand tight clamps near the back window and pull off the trifold cover?

    • @slowturttle
      @slowturttle 4 роки тому

      Hi, no it does not rattle at all. This thing is very solid and built really good. I’ve traveled at different speeds up to 90 and never even noticed it’s back there. I sometimes even forget it’s on. As for removing the cover I really haven’t had a need to since I can pretty much ride with all 3 pieces up like on the video. Even with the covers open and being raised it doesn’t not rattle. But if needed all you do is remove the clamps and go.

    is it all you can drink alcoholic beverage at the bar ? Also, hows the beach? Is there plenty of stuff to do for a week vacation?

    • @slowturttle
      @slowturttle 4 роки тому

      Yes it is all you can drink at the bar. They have their own national drink called Mama Juana! I recommend you try that. It’s a mixture of red wine and a bit of rum infused with a sweet tree bark and a hint of cinnamon. Their is plenty to do, on and off the resort. We took a tour on some Polaris off road vehicles to a small village where they show you how they make chocolate with the cacao. From their we went to Macao beach via dirt back roads. They give you about 30 minutes at the beach to be in the water and take in the views. From their we went to see a natural cave with a Cenote which is pretty much a natural water filled cave that you can swim in. The water was very cold but we jumped in to get some of the dust off. All the back roads are dusty so take a bandana or a mask and some cheap sunglasses because they might get damaged. Make sure to also take some petty cash to buy items like cigars or chocolate at the first location.
