RRGC Multigun Match - 26 June 2016
Переглядів 2838 років тому
This is a recent multigun match we had at our club. I was the MD (Match Director) for the match. Great day of shooting, and props to the winners. Thanks again to all those who stuck around to help build the stages. Next match will be in July...so, "Come git some"
Rope-assisted one-arm pull-up's
Переглядів 3268 років тому
Here is a quick video of how I chose and set-up the rope on my hangboard for rope-assisted one-handed pull-up training. I don't claim to be an authority on this subject. But I am just passing-on what I have learned, in case you want to start training with this as well.

CrossBreed SuperTuck Holster, Smith & Wesson J-Frame
Переглядів 7 тис.9 років тому
Here is a video of my CrossBreed SuperTuck Deluxe holster, being modified to my Smith & Wesson (.357 Magnum) J-Frame snubby. I had ordered the holster, but forgot to tell them that I had a "fluteless cylinder". So I made this video to show how I reformed the Kydex, and then modified the horse hide to suite my personal needs.
BARC - 26-27 July 2014
Переглядів 82110 років тому
Here is a cursory overview of our BARC match. (Bay Area Rifle Championships). We had some exceptional shooters apply, and the prize table was super sweet. The competition was great, the fellowship was great, the food was great, the weather was great...what more could you ask for? Thanks to all who attended (approximately 160 shooters), and especially to the RO's who made the match fair and leve...
RRGC Multigun Match - 8 June 2014
Переглядів 61210 років тому
This is the June 8th 2014 Multigun Match at the RRGC. (Richmond Rod & Gun Club). We only have two, pure, multigun matches per year, and I am the MD (Match Director) for both. It was a hot day for the match (85 degrees), but the fellowship was welcome. Seems like everyone had a good time, and spirits were high. It is always an honor to tend to the multigun crowd.
RRGC MG Match - 30 Mar 14
Переглядів 33910 років тому
This was our club multigun match, 30 March 2014. I was the Match Director for this match, and it went well. Here are a few of the stages. There were five stages in all...but somehow I did not get to video tape stage 5. I was a good match, and a good day of seeing fellow shooters again.
Bear Canisters - (Bear Vault, Garcia, UDAP)
Переглядів 60 тис.11 років тому
UPDATE: It has been pointed out to me that the manufacturers posted the canister weights in decimal numbers, and NOT in ounces. IE...2.7 pounds IS NOT 2-pounds, 7 ounces. So that is my mistake. Thanks for pointing that out to me, Mr Carden! Here is a quick video on my observations of three different types of bear canisters. (The Bear Vault 500, Garcia, and the UDAP). If you are a backpacker or ...
CASC Match - 29 Sept 2013 (CA Action Shotgun Championships)
Переглядів 51911 років тому
This is the C.A.S.C. match. (California Action Shotgun Championships). This is the first match I have shot in over two years. I have not shot anything in a looooooong time. I am using Taccom 8-up dual shotshell holders for the very first time. (I practiced with them ONCE in my living-room, and ONCE at the range). Then, on a spur of the moment, I borrowed my buddies spare Taccom 6-up dual shotsh...
First time at the range with my TacCom shotshell holders - 26 September 2013
Переглядів 1,3 тис.11 років тому
This is the first time I have used the TacCom shotshell holders at the range. This will be a nice surprise, as it is the VERY FIRST TIME I have used them, and I have a shotgun match in two days. Blah!!!
Practicing to shoot a spinner with a shotgun - 26 Sept 2013
Переглядів 84811 років тому
Here is a short video of me experimenting with a spinner and my shotgun. I usually do things with a reason, and it needs to make sense to me. (I don't blindly follow advice. I have to see it for myself. Process of elimination). Granted, if you have a stronger shotshell, you may be able to do it in one shot. But in my case, with the shotshells and shotgun I have...this is my answer. I saw someon...
Taccom 8-Up Dual Shotshell Holders - 8 shotshells in 6 seconds.
Переглядів 4,5 тис.11 років тому
Here is a short video of "me" trying to hit the 7 second mark, and then the 6 second mark, for reloading 8 shotshells into my shotgun. This is a new method for me, so I am totally winging it. There was no one to help me or give me advice...so I am pretty much learning everything about this system on my own. It is fast!

Big Agnes Q Core SL Sleeping Mat

Awesome sleeping pad. One of the best investments I have ever made. At first it felt a bit weird. Almost like a floatation toy you use at a lake. But the next day...ahhh...the next day. I slept blissfully. Light and compact. What more could you ask for, backpackers?!

Strongly advise not getting the bear vault. It's very difficult to spin the lid off just right to free it and access food, and in cold temps with cold hands it's almost impossible. I had this issue on a back country camp out in high altitude where it was 20 degrees Fahrenheit and it took 3 guys, all capable and in good shape, to finally get it loose after 15 minutes of trying. Won't ever bring one again... could easily see someone being "locked out" of their own food supply with one of these.
Bravo.. Klass
I gruagrated from 550 to 650
Thanks for all your input
A men brother
They say the bears in Yosemite are opening them now. I really would have liked to see you packing them with as much as possible. Thanks for the upload.
Junk I’m really sorry bro I know how much you paid for that crap
I had one and it sqeaked as well. The trick I used was to get some adhesive velcro strips and just add the fuzzy part underneath the clips. Problem solved.
Thank you for sharing this.i wish i could have watch this before i went yesterday.awesome Job!!🥰😍🤩
Raymundo nice video
how many times can you reload a shell? lets say 12 gauge
Not sure. Some can be reloaded 8 or more times. It depends on your load, and the shells you use. These STS are the best for me. I also check the feel of the plastic. Too brittle, or cracked, and they’re thrown away. Since I only reload slugs for multigun matches, I usually consider them gone after the stage. I’m not going to hang around and pickup shotgun shells. I usually get tons of them pretty cheap online.
The bear vault lid can easily get stuck if you don’t align the lid and the threads properly. It is then impossible to open. You will have to smash it open with a big rock to break the glass.
I was the 420th upvote. Nice. :D
Right-On!
Follow up after reading comments...they are expensive but at the same time I sleep better at night knowing my food will be intact next morning, that my pack will not be chewed through by at best varmints and at worst by a bear and finally, keep my pack organized and cleaner given that my stove and cooking utensils are also stored inside. A pack having carried food without protection like a cannister in your vestibule or tent is a dinner invitation.
good review thank you very much.
Great job!
I'm trying to figure out what i would need for a 10 or 11 day trip...maybe 2 canisters, or a canister AND an Ursack.
Not familiar with an Ursack.
@@RaymondMillbrae They are bullet-proof sacks made with a sort of kevlar fabric - they are sacks not canisters. Bears can't get into them if tied correctly. You tie them to a tree. I wouldn't want to buy 2 hardshell canisters for a long trip but I'd need to be able to accommodate 11 days worth of food somehow.
There are much more scenic and interesting paths to the summit. Check out the “six summit loop” sometime!
This is really great bear canister review video! Very informative. Looks like REI only has BV and Garcia. I think I will go with Garcia as heard BV is not recommended in Adirondack mountain area. Thanks, Raymond! :)
Una vez estuve en casa de mi tio, un militar de alto rango, y uno de sus hijos estaba rellenando casquillos de balas calibre 38 en un aparato muy parecido a ese.
Thank you! I just now received my UDAP Bear vault - couldn't get it open. I watched your video and successfully opened it. YAY! I did see complaints online about opening it, but they must have given up before they had success. Was a challenge, but when I got the hang of it (thanks to you) it's no problem at all! Thanks again.
Do you use anti smell/vapor bags with your bear canisters?
No. Just regular ziplock bags.
My guy has a whole toothbrush AND the carrying case
The US system is not the metric system, where everything matches is 1/10 and 1/100. 2.4 pounds is not the same as 2 lbs 4 oz. 2.4 pounds equals 2 lb 7 oz, because a pound is 16 oz. It's 7/16 oz which equals .4375 lbs.
Even though this video is older, it's still a great video. Thanks for sharing!
Do you mean 4-5 cloves of garlic or 45 cloves of garlic?
John Giff: 4 or 5 cloves.
Have your been consistent with your One arm pull up training?. I mean can your do things like negatives? And does the thickness of the rope matter i use a kinda similar method but ring strap assisted one.
A.C.A:1995 : Yes, rope thickness matters. Too thin, and you will get no grip, and it “cuts” into your hand. I stayed consistent for a while. But now I am in a different place in my climbing. It definitely helped build my arm and back muscles. I am now working on tiny crimping holds. Forty-five degree underhang stuff.
Nice job
It's not you the consistency is there you have some modifications that need to be done to your gun some grinding and polishing of the intake
No dogs allowed on the trails. I think that's awesome!

здравствуйте мне очень понравилось это аппарат где можно купить
Great video. I'm doing the JMT next year so I'm starting to look for one.
Very nice informative series.my question is why are you using magnum primers with 335 plinker rds vs standard srp?
Good review! Thanks for posting.
Excellent video. Thank you for all the info. Helps me decide on my purchase. ;)
Mines a Pacific division of Hornady.
Cool, thanks. We used Bear vaults in 2009. I wasn't strong enough to get one open, but the guys could do it. I heard not only are they good for the things you mentioned, but also for doing laundry if you're out a really long time, and where we went we were in a place for a bit where solid waste had to be carried out, not buried. Too much of a high traffic area I guess. I planned ahead and took chewable Pepto Bismal so I did not have to do that. I carried it in my body. My son almost made it. The rest of our group had to carry it in the cannisters, next to the food at times. Gross. Hopefully we had enough garbage by then that all of that went into the garbage buckets. It could be a problem if you are hiking alone or a small group and that requirement is there by the park district.
Excelent review and tips
16 dollars in slugs in 10 mins AWESOME
It's also nice that the canister is clear - just makes it easier to see what you're looking for.

If I have a bear canister is it necessary to hang it from a tree to keep myself safe or am I good to go if I don't?
You do NOT hang them from trees. Actually, you do not attach ANYTHING to them. Keep them about 75 yards away from where you sleep. The bears should know what they are, and that they cannot access what is within them. If they don't know, they will swat it around and learn that they cannot get into them. Keep it away from water, just in case they swat it off a hill and into water.
Raymond Moreno @ thank you man. I was just concerned.
Raymond Moreno @ have you ever encountered one while on the trail?
Nope.
No problemo.
nice series of instruction..been reloading with the Lee Pro 1000 but the charge isn't as precise as the Dillon. that's my next purchase.
è in vendita e che prezzo ha ???
I've never used one of these before and I have a really good question. How do you know when it is safe to get your food out of the canister when you get hungry and what do you do to get bears away from it if you see one so you can eat ?
You can always take your food out of the canisters. Just make sure there is no wildlife around, to the best of your knowledge. Always carry bear spray when in bear country. And lastly, you cannot keep the bears away from your canisters. They will be attracted to your canisters by the smell of the food. But they will not be able to access the food within the canisters. So bears will learn that even though they can smell the food in the canisters, they cannot access the food...and hopefully they will leave the canisters alone next time.
Thank you can you send me this to Iraq
quanto custa a máquina de cal 12
Did the pistol functioned with the supplied magazine? If so why blame Nighthawk from using a flawed 10 round magazine design that is prone to over insertion? You noticed Wilson Combat 10 round mags have welded tabs instead of extended base that could flex and wedge front the front strap?
The supplied mags were garbage. I gave them away. They would not extract worth doo-doo. I ended-up with Cobra mags. But even then, I was getting 3-point jams afterwards. (I use SWC plated bullets). Seems that the pistol was not made to function reliably with plated SWC bullets. No matter which magazine I used. Bug after switching to plated round nose bullets, or solid lead SWC bullets, all was fine.
Are you dodgeman 7909?
Nope.
