Another interesting podcast lads, Thanks for doing what you do. Weird when David said the house in Bolton on Google Maps is blurred out, as the Enfield poltergeist house is also blurred (284 Green St). I laughed when he mentioned how poltergeists seem to love rearranging cutlery, as this happened when my daughter moved into a house in 2018. Cutlery started going missing (she actually asked her husband if he was taking it into work), then tv remotes and other miscellaneous stuff....then some REALLY weird stuff started.
@@bigcrispyhied yeah the blurred Google maps thing is weird, must be intentional ? Poltergeists seem to love cutlery 😀 thanks for listening @bigcrispyhied 👍
One of the best carry on films harry h was a great actor wonderful film
@@JohnCrowder-js8qz well said 👍
Better off without sid james As was follow.that camel Silvers much better!
@@angloaust1575 Great point. We chatted about Phil Silvers on our latest Pod with Dan Lewis Actor. Carry on Screaming worked really well with Harry H 👍
Also carry on behind did quite well without sid!
@ I’ll need to rewatch Carry on Behind. Haven’t seen it for so long. Thanks for reminding me 😀
CUCKOO AAAAHURGHHHHH
I have just subbed as im a huge classic comedy fan also and love the comedies from the 70s 80s ect..There are still some good comedies being made but those decades seemed to produce gold..!
@MichaelMulqueen-j6c Thanks very much for the support 👍 yeah I agree. Modern comedy doesn’t seem to be as good apart from the odd one. We chatted to Dan & Giorgio stage actors about this in the latest pod release
Thoughts on the ball bearing joke? 😂
Why are you promoting the old paedo ? Dont u care
Great stuff, I presume you will doing “The Party” or maybe next year !
@@mikewest1542 We actually covered it earlier this year. Our podcast mate Tom picked it for us to do: ua-cam.com/video/8QyFX97kRgk/v-deo.htmlsi=bYAKeY81k4DKQBWs
@ of course ! Keep up the good work.
@ Thanks 👍
Only recently found your channel,I am a massive classic comedy fan, especially Steptoe&Son! Im really enjoying your content, keep up the good work😊👏
@@STESTOOGE Thanks so much for the feedback👍 Great to connect with Steptoe fans!
Corbett was a serious acting talent. Fenella Fielding does this role perfectly. Reminds me of Kind Hearts and Coronets, Blazing Saddles and Young Frankestein (that's Fronkensteen). "Mind if I smoke?". Ah, pure class. That could have been in Airplane or Police Squad. I'd put it up there with "Infamy, infamy, they've all got it in for me". Or the "Frying tonight" line in this one. Proof that Shakespeare never did die, he just carried on.
@littlefluffybushbaby7256 👍👌
Great stuff, love steptoe & son😂😂

Art- ❔ Arthur?
The guys are amazing! Underrated TV show!
As you talked about spin offs.. Sanford and Son had at least 3 spin off shows, but none were very successful! (Though I enjoyed each of them)
@@orangenationarcade Wow. What were they called? Anyone well known in them?
Sanford Arms, Sanford, Grady were the 3 spinoffs. Several characters from original show carried over & a few new characters were introduced.
@ thanks mate. Will check those out with Si 👍
Grew up watching Sanford & Son in syndication. Few years back discovered Steptoe & Son on UA-cam and love it! Cross Swords was one of the earliest Sanford episodes! ❤
@@orangenationarcade Excellent. We plan on watching/reviewing Sanford and Son for the podcast. Were there many similarities to Steptoe? Which do you find funnier?
I don’t think I can say one was funnier than another. They each had their moments. Sanford & Son was more relatable for me as an American but both are hilarious. Sanford definitely had several episodes pulled differently from Steptoe. Cheers!
@@orangenationarcade yeah that’s a good point. Galton and Simpson went over to America to help with the writing years before Sanford was released but they became a bit frustrated and nothing really happened.
Hey that's my prawn you've just eaten huh oh well I've moved it anyway
I'm moving my queen
Think I'm having a Mandela effect moment, because I'm sure when when potty Ada was asked if she had her knickers on she replied 'I've get em on, they just don't come orf as often as yours'. She also didn't sound the same, not as east end rough. Anyway, another great wee podcast guys, just to let you know there are people out there who appreciate what you do.🙂
@@bigcrispyhied thanks buddy. You are right in regards to Potty Ada. I think the tv and radio show differ in what she says 👍
@StepPodandSon Ah, that'd be the reason then, I didn't realise that was the radio version. Thanks lads.
@ sorry mate 😂 thanks again for the kind words.

Arthur Arthur?
Another great episode guys, thank you. This episode was on 'Great TV' the other day, it was heavily edited cutting out most of scenes with the psychiatrist when he asked Harold if he was breastfed, and all the 'boosom' stuff. Quite strange as it is all quite tame..not rude.
@@bigcrispyhied thanks very much. Kind words. I wonder why those scenes were cut? There’s much more shocking things shown. I can’t see anything offensive with the psychiatrist scenes.
Excellent guys please do more !
@@mikewest1542 Cheers
Hello lads, thanks for another great episode. The enjoyment both of you get out of doing the podcast certainly comes through in your narration and comments. I loved Harry's line when he answered the phone in bed with a hangover, and asks himself 'Who am I'...ha ha. Interesting you mentioned parts being edited out of 'Planes Trains and Automobiles'. I remember reading that it's the only film to have more edited out of it than actual running time. Thanks again for doing what you do guys, looking forward to the next upload.
@@bigcrispyhied Ah thanks so much. Really appreciate your comments. It’s true about planes trains and automobiles, I think perhaps they wanted a more comedic film by editing out the more emotional bits.
I enjoyed that, Sue sounds like a lovely person. Good to get the facts from the horse's mouth so to speak. You do a great job guy's, I've been listening to all the casts while on holiday during my walks. Love all the wee titbits of info and your knowledge is excellent, keep up the good work.
@@bigcrispyhied ah thanks very much @bigcrispyhied. Me and Si are grateful for your support. Su was lovely to interview 👍

“I’ll whack you one in a minute!”
Great ep. I regret not knowing about this in advance! I would've asked if Susannah knows if there is ANY available channel to pursue a DVD release of Grundy. I'm also a huge fan of Harry. Its great to see him on UA-cam in Potter and Tales of the Unexpected. I would be getting a better late-period Harry fix with a Grundy binge!
@@brianorakpohit thanks for the feedback 👍 apologies I didn’t really have enough time to get many questions from fans but glad you enjoyed the interview. I’ve only watched the first episode of Potter so I need to go back and finish it to see Harry’s performance.

ANY CHANCE OF ANY MORE FULL EPISODES, SORRY FOR SHOUTING !
@@mikewest1542 thanks for the support. We’re hoping to record an episode in the next fortnight and then a bank holiday special!
@@StepPodandSon cuckoo 🤪
A role Sid James turned down but Harry H turns this role into his own ! Guys, anymore reviews to certain Steptoe episodes, I’m enjoying them very much, keep up the good work!
@@mikewest1542 Thanks for the feedback @mikewest1542 what episode would you like me and Si to review next?
Why did Sid turn it down. Worried about doing too many Carry On's, health reasons, or didn't like the script? He was one of the core Carry On team members.
@littlefluffybushbaby7256 as far as we know it was health reasons. But possibly as you say, didn’t like the script as it is quite different to the other Carry On films.
