Bhai, agar 99.7+ percentile score kar lete ho toh IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, aur Calcutta (ABC) ke liye doors open ho sakte hain, lekin kuch factors aur bhi matter karenge: Strengths in Your Profile: ✔ 10th (95%) & 12th (92%) - Strong academics, which is a plus. ✔ Work Experience (14-15 months) - A decent duration, which will help in the work-ex score. ✔ Diversity Factor (Non-Engineering, Commerce Background) - Thoda advantage mil sakta hai, especially for IIM Bangalore & Ahmedabad. Challenges & Considerations: ❌ UG (7.36 CGPA in BA Prog) - Thoda low hai for IIM A, as they focus a lot on academics. But IIM B & C thoda balanced dekhte hain. ❌ Category (General or NC-OBC?) - Agar NC-OBC ho, toh 99+ percentile bhi safe ho sakta hai. Agar General ho, toh 99.75+ target karo. Verdict: ✔ IIM Bangalore & IIM Calcutta - Strong chances if you score 99.7+. ✔ IIM Ahmedabad - Unpredictable due to their high academic weightage, but 99.8+ ke aas-pass jaane se hopeful ho sakte ho. With an 8/7/7 profile and being from the OBC category, aiming for a 95-97 percentile in CAT is a safe target if you want to get into one of the newer IIMs. These IIMs generally have a lower cutoff compared to the top ones, but a good percentile will still make you competitive. Now, as for placements, even with a profile that's not very strong, if you can secure admission to a newer IIM and perform well academically and during your summer internship, the placements should be good. A 12+ LPA placement is definitely possible, but it depends on the batch profile, the industry you target, and your own efforts during the internship. Bhai, sabse pehle tension mat le. Tu already mehnat kar raha hai, aur tera effort waste nahi jaayega. Ab ekdum practical baat karte hain: 1. Pehli Baat: "MBA is Not for Middle Class" - Ye Galat Hai Haan, MBA costly hota hai, but ROI (Return on Investment) bahut strong hota hai, especially agar tu top B-schools se kare. Scholarships & Loans: Bahut saare IIM aur doosre top B-schools financial aid dete hain. Education Loan: MBA ke liye banks easily loan dete hain bina kisi collateral ke. Job milne ke baad tu easily repay kar sakta hai. 2. Hindi Medium Se Koi Problem Nahi Hai Haan, pehle thoda tough lagega, but bohot saare students hindi medium se aaye hain aur crack kiya hai. Tu English improve karne par focus kar. Roz The Hindu Editorial ya Indian Express padna shuru kar. CAT ke RCs (Reading Comprehension) ke liye novels aur articles padh. UA-cam pe free English improvement content available hai. 3. Government Job vs MBA: Kya Sahi Rahega? Govt Job ka Competition Bahut High Hai - SSC CGL, Banking waise bhi abhi tu de nahi sakta kyunki graduation 2026 me complete hoga. Matlab 2026 ke end ya 2027 me hi first attempt milega. Lowest Package Nobody Talks About: Old IIMs: ₹10-12 LPA (can go lower for niche roles). New IIMs: ₹6-8 LPA. Aim for 99+ percentile to maximize your chances and avoid weaker placements.
