Hi, Question: how does cardiac output increase while the cvp is low? Low cvp is indicative of low blood volume , so how can low blood volume cause high cardiac output.?( this question is based on the early sign of septic shock question ). Thank you for your helping heart.

Pretty sure you’re wrong on number one; if there is a septal wall rupture, blood will shunt from the LV to the RV and cardiac output would decrease, not increase

question 10 confused me. you said pt has hypercalcemia and tx is more calcium. How do you know the calcium level is high and why will tx be more calcium? wouldn't insulin and dextroxe be more appropriate to treat the hyperkalemia?

Thanks Jenny for your videos. I found them really helpful. I spent 8 weeks to study for the CCRN exam and I passed it. I got 103/125. I was using the Barron’s book, UA-cam videos, and I bought the question bank from AACN to practice.

I have found many resources that say that a VSR would cause a falsely high SVO2 but a low CO because blood is shunted away from the Aorta.
