Atmospheric Watercolor Tutorial
Welcome to my second UA-cam video where I walk you through the process for creating an atmospheric landscape watercolor painting. I am excited to share this process in some longer format videos for those of you who have expressed interest. I will provide links to some of my favorite supplies below.
If you are interested in purchasing this painting, "Bubblegum Daze", it is available on my website: www.kendrabrazzel.art/category/all-products
I hope you enjoyed learning a bit more about the process! If you have questions, please leave a comment and I will do my best to answer here, or in a future video. Thank you for your support - Kendra

Many of these items can be found at other online retailers and some can be found in local art shops. I have never seen mineral paper in a store, and I would caution ordering from Amazon. They ship it in a plastic bag and it often arrives damaged.

Developing Processes Through Exploration - Artist Talk
Переглядів 2,5 тис.4 місяці тому
This is a video of my first artist talk at the Magnolia Art Xchange on July 18, 2024. I talk about my background and and how I discovered my love for painting during the pandemic. After finally sharing my art in a gallery show back in November 2022, where I won "Best in Show" prize I decided to pursue art as more than a hobby. Over the next 9 months I would experiment and explore with watercolo...

I love this video! How long does it take to dry and quit moving? Do you seal it?

That was absolutely fascinating, I have been longing to try abstract watercolours but lack the confidence, now I think I should try your techniques. I do have some acrylic paints and lots of watercolours so, apart from some paper, I am all set to go. Thank you so much for sharing with us and passing on your knowledge and please keep up the video's, I will certainly be looking out for more. Best wishes, Diane UK

Hi Kendra ~ thanks for another fascinating and clear video. Your presentation is perfect and to the point. Just to let any UK viewers know, I’ve just received an A4 pad of mineral paper from Amazon (as I couldn’t find it anywhere else here) and it arrived intact in a brown paper package, which was a relief! Am really keen to have a play now 😊

WOW! Kendra! This artwork of yours is amazing! I can't believe this is your first UA-cam video. It was so inspiring to watch you create and explain your process so clearly. This video is wonderful! I loved it! Thank you so much for sharing!

Oh wow - really love this! And I am also one of those who dislikes the UA-cam videos with “music” instead of voiceovers. (Usually really irritating and distracting music at that! ) This is so informative and inspirational Kendra - am going to see if I can find mineral paper here in the UK. I can see a new obsession arising. Thank you ❤

Dear Kendra- I'm so happy I found you! I saw someone else on Facebook doing this in one of my groups, and when I searched UA-cam for how to do it, you were one of the first to pop up. This tutorial is incredibly helpful, and your piece turned out beautifully. You’re so right about music being an inspiration! I’ve been listening to The Best of Puccini, which isn’t my usual go-to music, but it works so well in the creative headspace. Thank you.

Hello Kendra. In my country (Spain) it is to find Mineral Paper, Yasumoto or any other brand, neither on Amazon nor in art stores. I wanted to ask you if it is possible to make those beautiful works that you do on synthetic paper, such as Yupo paper. Thank you very much for sharing your teachings. Best regards.

You talk! Yes! So many make videos with music or type on the screen. I have eye fatigue and can’t stare at any screen for too long. I usually listen and look up here and there to keep up visually. I like to listen while making my own art so thank you for talking! Every artist has days where things don’t turn out. It’s okay, it’s okay to show it as well. You could always talk about why you think it didn’t turn out as you would have liked. Either way it just makes you look like a real person without the fake perception that everything is perfect all the time. It helps beginners with their self confidence to let them know everybody has those days and it’s a learning process no matter how experienced one is.

Hi, I just found your channel a few days ago and I have to say I am completely, completely hooked! Do you have a gallery or do you have your paintings shown in a gallery? Do you or would you consider teaching this technique outside of UA-cam in an actual regular class setting or online class setting? I would really love to learn this technique as I am completely mesmerized by it.

Do you use a UV protectant or do you just put it behind protective glass? Just curious because the dyes are not light fast. I am just wondering how you protect them or if you protect them, not everybody wants it to last 500 years

Thank you Kendra for sharing your process. I've experimented and tried to do this but never got as much height. I'll definitely try mineral paper and keeping the source colour to two lines and use a pipette. You've given me hope that i can do it! 🙏🙏🙏
