Quick build video on how I converted the Slash 4x4 lcg into a speed Run buggy. Sorry about the test run video, the GoPro turned off, but still managed 124mph on a very short pull, with a lagging gps. Stay tuned for the real pass. 130 for sure and possibly 140 if I can keep it in one piece!

I seen you disconnected the original antenna to plug the booster in. Then in the next part i seen u was still using the stock antenna. So my question is are u still using the stock antenna along with the booster or did you disconnect the stock completely?

The car is outputting 360 wheel HP stock? Lmfao Porsche and their habit of understating their power figures. Assume 10% mechanical lost (which is more than fair), that's around 400BHP, while Porsche claims 365. No wonder the 2.5L GTS feels so fast, it's 365hp on the wheels!

So what? What do cap packs have to do with any of this? Isn't that what we're talking about here? Isn't that what you're selling? Aren't they supposed to improve the acceleration curve due to their current dump to stabilize the battery current when you floor it? I have a Venom single cap for the low voltage side of the ESC just to keep my steering from dropping out under high acceleration and it works. So, did your cap assemblies make any difference? Isn't that the point? My guess is you may be losing ripple voltage because the caps are expiring and you're going to purer line voltage from the battery directly. Or the motor finally caught up, which is more likely. All a brushless motor and it's ESC is, by its nature, is a giant ripple, created by the ESC on purpose. The ripple chases the armature all around the housing and that's what drives the motor. That much is certain. Of course the line signal has ripple. The power going to the motor comes out as a stutter, a very fast stutter, but a stutter just the same. It'll smooth up when the motor cannot take anymore power, or you let off the throttle. At that kind of sudden current dump, I can't imagine the caps would be recharging and you showed no before and after parameters. In the event of a 2 second burst, the caps would expire in about 6ms. What did your tests or charts tell us about any of that? Nothing is what. I did a series of acceleration tests on a 120 amp 5400kv brushless racing motor at 3s, which drives it to 59,000 rpms. In fact; three of them. All three ESC's were Hobbywing 120amp identicals and had two big caps themselves. I added two quad packs and an octo pack of giant caps. And frankly, I saw very little difference between the three setups, if at all. It was a pretty big disappointment. And if anything, it showed the huge throughput of the 50c Venom battery and a perfectly matched motor that won't overload the ESC. That battery by itself has a burst current rating of almost 500 amps on a 5,000 Venom. Far more than the ESC can handle, and the 365 you ran. So what are we really even talking about here? My tests only determined that the two big caps on the ESC were probably perfectly adequate for the voltage drop, if any, and Hobbywing knows a hell of a lot more about it than I do. Do you think? They know a hell of a lot more about it than you do. They never published any white papers on the subject even though they published tons of white papers and were asked repeatedly because cap packs were all the rage. That told me that not only wasn't there a real performance difference to their current setup, but there was no money in it as a result. Otherwise Hobbywing would have made their own for sale. And they didn't. (even though they were all the rage) And they didn't change their present setups at all. They make one quad pack for a specific ESC as a replacement and that's it. My tests determined as a best case scenario the caps are only being use at a full power spin up, and because of the way they're wired in, the motor only gets half, the battery gets the other half or all of it if it'll take it. From there, in about 4 - 6 milliseconds the caps expire and the line voltage takes over. And the caps recharge at that time. I was so sure, just like you are. Maybe I have the whole thing wrong, but I did an awful lot of real world testing with reliable and repeatable setups. I just realized your posts are six years old. I have no idea why UA-cam sent it to me today. But I would be interested in your thoughts if you're still around.
I have a piggy back tune on my 718 S, was planning to add downpipe, but the car is so much faster than anything that challenges you in real life there is no need for it yet, most of the time you are 5 car lengths ahead by 60mph. These 4 cylinder turbo's are insane. All it take is one loss and then down pipe will be ordered lol

everything you can think of, new cars and multiple times, camaro ss, camaro 1LE, mustang gt, bmw m3, bmw m4, every dodge charger you can think of, all with at least 5 car lengths, except one, it was just one car length, I think it was a brand new M series bmw, could have been electric, could not see it as i had to jump on interstate, would like to know what it was, the car is like a magnet for stop light challenges, i try to control my self but adrenaline takes over, always open road for safety and country roads@@Max-dd6ep

What time for 1/4 and 100-200?
I'd do an APR for sure if I had more control over swapping maps myself. I have a Boxster coming around Christmas, but I'd be hesitant to get a tune now and have to rely on a tuner to keep swapping it or updating it as I make modifications i'm sure i won't be able to resits over time. Plus there is only 1 APR installer within like hours of me, so if i end up needing to reset or do an update and that shop closes i'd be kind of in trouble.
I'll probably go Cobb for this reason. Never been comfortable with the idea of piggybacks. I want the car to know what it's doing.
Linear pedal map actually makes it more predictable, but often times less 'responsive'. Sport tunes or even default sport modes on cars often just bump up the throttle early in the pedal so it FEELS like you're getting more power because at 10% throttle you're getting 30-40% of your power right away. For the average street driver your brain then thinks you still have way more power in reserve, but you actually dont, and the last half of the pedal is usually pretty dead feeling. If its linear, you know how much power you're commanding, and also have more control of getting on to power when cornering (for the track people). If you get on 30% power with 10% throttle you may be giving it too much and lose traction. Where as if you could precisely get 25% you might get a great boost out of a corner. I don't track either, but i generally like linear just because it is predictable and i know what it's gonna do. I personally don't need it to "Feel" faster with less throttle input. That's almost always what people who get an off the shelf tune are feeling on their first drive and then they suspect they are sensitive enough to notice a 10hp difference at some low RPM.

I just got a arrma felony that has a 2700kv kme motor and a mamba monster x8s speed control ..was under the impression it was a stock 6s only to find it wasn't..paid 350 for it too ..I'm just getting into this so I'd say I just got a hell of a deal as a beginner.. It's super fun an dumb fast ..can't wait to get more info in this rc world before I really push this thing . Really curious how fast this this thing really goes . So I do wanna ask can I run 8s on this motor ? now I'm only running 6s .??????
