How long did you wait for your work to be available?

I went to Air Force BMT in Fall of 80 , and thought 🤔 it as a very long Gym Class 😊. I really enjoyed meeting others from different parts of the country 😊. No cellphones, nor laptops, only paperback text books, simple classroom teaching, pretty much the same routine day in day out 😊 Those Days, Basic Common Sense would get you through BMT 😊

Did you pass your dorm inspection. The one where they call fire and you have to exit the dorm without saying anything? Do they still even do that? I went in 07. They had all kinds of crazy from making the day room walls sweat to running till the sun goes down.

Hi, Callie. I am one of the older A F veterans; did Basic at Lackland eleven weeks, June, July and August 1957. I still appreciate all I learned there. I also saw some of the videos of the day-today training, and was quite Impressed at how much things have progressed -- although some things remain the same. You are spot on about lasting relationships. Up until five years ago I was still in touch with one of my buds from Air Training Command, Keesler. I'm 85 now snd still walk every day, exercise three days a week. My older brother (8 years) was Lackland 1950 -- he's still doing well in Florida at 93 YO, and both of us cherish your Air Force experience. Stay well and Air Force Strong, Jack Cohen

I have MEPS tmrw! My recruiter told me since I took the Picat I don’t need to take the asvabs- I’m also a senior in highschool so I won’t be going from meps to BMT I’ll just go straight home- I’m having some anxiety and I’m a little scared that I’ll have to take the Asvab test for some reason

What do you recommend to pack for Tech school?

For tech school, can my family bring a suitcase or a trunk at graduation instead of a box?

I’m a certified dental assistant but I wanna go to the Air Force for assisting so bad. Ive had such a traumatizing household growing up that I don’t even feel like basic training will be that much different or even culture shock (which is probably why I wanna join so bad) but I’m gonna be humble cus you never know til your there lol. I feel like joining the air force will do me more good than harm.. especially if with order and routine.

Hey Callie, I’ve tried asking a few military members about this but haven’t got a straight response, I am alittle worried about it. Do you get to eat before morning pt in bmt? I ask because I played a lot of sports in hs, and I would feel rlly sick after doing pt without food in my system. And also what could you tell me about surgical technologist, and public health, do you think it’s the right way to go? Thanks so much and love ur videos. Keep up the great work. God bless
