Don't use tree wood, it's very heavy and I doubt it will fly, use balsa wood

Those look like airplane parts but they're not. There is a great deal more to engineering than just copying a shape.

Aswome job m8 you have done an amazing job what is the wood you use is it spruce or just plywood I’m thinking about building my own experimental ultra light I’ve seen also a lot of people using some kind of foam also in the wings if you no what it’s called and where you maybe able to find it in Queensland Australia also can you message me the alloy size you used for your main spar I’m an aircraft engineer this sort of stuff really interest me I’ve been wanting to build a focker wulf 190 scale ultra light with a 200 hp rotary I have in it but I want to learn more about working with wood like yourself and where to buy it would be much appreciated and once again aswome video what sort of aircraft is it or is it your own design either way great skills m8 👌

Enjoyed watching your interesting project. It does not matter that it will never fly. That is logical. Any how, there are also static planes around the world.

or build a plane from old bike frames . or timber ..two by four frame or ...some way simpler construction just crude wood and plyplates as wings , would it work , fun vid for youtube safer to remote control with man weight sandbag in seat. or old plane wings on old car drive till lifts no propeller.

AS an aeronautical engineer the chordwise centre of lift is roughly 25% of the chord length back from the leading edge. This man's spar is much too near the leading edge. I would definitely move the forward spar back to 25% of the chord length. Since the airfoild is thickest in the region, a higher (hence more stiff) spar could be installed. Same for the rear spar.

lol its an art project not an airplane. That thing litterally weighs a ton or more and is not flying anywhere.

I made a wing spar caps from Fir first than ribs from 3 mm. Birch plywood. I was 23 y. that was a memorable times. Still would be better to spent that time with Girls.

if weight is no issue than this is probably an ok rib design. Otherwise it's just.. not so much of a great idea.

I will give him an "A" for determination. I notice that there is no test flight video to be found. Some of the design appears contrary to standard aircraft design. Doesn't mean it won't fly, but it looks heavy and subject to fatigue damage in a very short time. Men gotta dream! Good luck!
