Ferrari 360 Stradale weight reduction
It’s finally starting to come together. Full and complete Stradale suspension, CS carbon ceramic brakes, ADV.1 5.2 SL 20 inch wheels, CS body kit, sport carbon seats, CS engine mounts, Stradale/430 MAFs, carbon intake boxes, Challenge intake tube, Challenge headers, full decat, Capristo 3, Mase tune, smog pump delete, charcoal filter delete, 5lb lithium battery, titanium wheel lugs, CS engine and transmission mounts, charcoal filter delete, air injection delete, forged control arms, Mase tune. Skipped the CF doors for now. Water is in the car to set the suspension height and dial in the alignment. Guessing it around 2900-2950lbs w a full tank, 2800 emptyish. I’ll weigh it as soon as I can find a reliable scale. Dynos at 373hp to the wheel so it’s a pretty strong 360 compared to the numbers I’ve seen for Challenge Stradales out there. Still “just” a 360 but I could never deal with the SMG so this will do for me.

If you add back in the weight of the OEM exhaust that came on the car and 70lbs for a half tank of gas, it weighs about 3265lbs. That’s about as heavy as Modenas got so this one is definitely a pig. I’m taking these weights as a baseline and will now begin the process of trying to lighten the car by 300-400lbs. Current full tank weight is 3212lbs w the exhaust setup on it right now. Could you do flybys from the outside?
Not easily. I’ve got a ton of little kids so quick little runs like this are all I get here and there. There were rock and then concrete walls on either side on this one so the reflected sound is what you’d hear on a flyby. Brent Ruiz did a flyby w his that gives the same sound tho.

I never understood why the V10 M models with manual transmission were never sold in the homeland Germany, or offered as right-hand drive. Considering the fact, that Americans hate manual and majority of cars there are all automatic, this makes it even more inconceivable :D.
I rememeber reading about why bmw made this decision in the early 2000s. Apparently they tought that in america all normal cars are auto so enthusiasts want something different (manual). Meanwhile in europe almost every car is manual so a fast f1-style automatic would be more appreciated and manual is cosidered the cheap solution.

What a wonderful car..salute from italy...also 372 WHEELs hp is a very good number,i would say 400-410 hp,so thats a very good number considering this car is 20yo...but that sound,omg
372 WHP would equate to around 440 hp at the crank. VERY strong numbers although this would be pushing the stock injectors to their upper limits. To go beyond this, you would need larger injectors as they are 283cc, and through remapping and exhaust work etc, their upper limit would be 445 hp at the crank, this car is very close 440 - 15% drive train loss would be fairly accurate.

@@nxxxxxsimagine 2 honda k20's or s2000 f20's is a 2.0litre times 2. 240+240hp = 480hp 4.0litre v8, dohc vtec engines already have 8000rpm advance timing, massive cams more aggressive than the ferrari no im not kidding and high compression even the injectors are bigger on a k series than this ferrari lol

374 hp. Honestly I think it’s really disappointing. I personally really like the 360 but to think I could buy a Holden GTS/R8 Clubsport etc.....and be so close to the same power is ridiculous. Then to take into account I’d be driving a nice comfy sedan that I can put the kids into (with booster/baby seats if required as anchor points are included) and fill a boot full of shopping or sporting equipment for a fraction of the price. Really shoots the idea of buying a Ferrari down in flames! Especially when you add the servicing costs, insurance, reliability issues, electrical problems and the battery problems to name a few reasons. I could never justify buying this car......regardless of how much I really do like it!

@@aisu8481 i understand that, like I said I really do like the Modena. I almost bought one. However I’m glad I didn’t purely because it would have sent me broke. I was simply making a comparison based upon budget. But as men with much money would say “if you have to ask....you can’t afford it!” But to be fair you have to admit that a Holden sedan with an LS6L stock......is a lot of bang for your buck! Just saying........but admittedly it’s no where near a Ferrari or over half a dozen other cars I’m sure we could both name!

I think both seller and buyer take a risk in that transaction. I don't like when someone tries to low ball you I have OEM Ferrari F430 tires & wheels for sale. This guy sends me an email and say's I'll give you 1100.00 cash right now. It's freaking insulting.
I tried Both seats.. found that F430 Sport seats same shell but differnt leather pattern is the most comfotable, compare to your beautiful 458 carbon sport seats. I am in 458 now by the way
