I skip the intro only becouse the music is louder
@@richardcook6831 thanks for the feedback. I'll try and adjust it on the next one
I don't skip the start, but the music is LOUD, I sometimes wear earbuds, my ears 🫨 I like OMC tackle & they seem to be putting new tackle & gear out frequently. If I was after a small roving/stalking tackle box then I may go for one, but some of the stuff I wouldn't use as I like to keep my rigs simple.
@@richpeas1924 thanks for the input on the intro. I hadn't thought about how loud the music is so I will make sure it gets toned down next time

Nice chub mate !!Have been trying for barbel with no luck ... caught one last year but starting to think I dreamt it ahahah.
@@tommoric376 I am hoping I will get one at some point. There are plenty in that river it's just finding them. I got a couple of new bits today to make roaming easier and apparently I need longer rigs so I will get them sorted. Fingers crossed I'll be able to get one at some point soon!
Save your money until you can afford better
They're perfectly good rods, I've yet to see an expensive rod catch anybody more fish.
Great video, well done,, subbed
@@carldyke76 thanks Carl
Do bait boats help ? I like fishing for the free fish. Not so much for the sport.
@@frankenstein3163 it depends what you use it for. I typically use mine on venues where I want to get a lot of bait out onto a certain area as well as be accurate with my rig. If you fish open water areas with little or no snags then its pretty pointless
@@budgetfishing3611 ty :)
Great little boats for the price ive had one for a year and a half the only issue i had was the hopper started cracking i used for plastic angle and glued it where the screws mount now it is super strong and a easy fix i would atleast advise people to try and add some washers just to prevent the hopper cracking where the hinge mount nuts are as the nuts they use are very small
What is the price? I've watched it twice and I guess I'm missing it. Thanks.
@@scottlytton5328 around £130 or £150 with 2 batterys
Finally got a 24 hour in over at shearwater and had an incredible session 10 carp over 20 pound 1 low double and only two bream which I'm told is really good as I was using solid bags. Would be great to do a session there with you soon if you want to arrange something.
@@karlgale2485 yeah I'm up for that and sounds like a really good session. Did you go to the top end of the lake where it gets shallow or stay closer to the dam wall?
@@budgetfishing3611 I was in the shallows. Let me know how you'd like to set it up. 👍🎣
@@karlgale2485 will do. I need to work out times, work schedule etc and I'll work out how to organise things
I’ve got these. Can you change the alert style noise on the receiver ? It’s really annoying when you get only one blip on the alarm, especially in the night/ line bite, that the receiver strobes 4 times? I would have preferred the receiver noise to be in-sync with the bite alarm tone I also seem to have to re sync the alarms with the receiver after turning the receiver off/ to vibrate, like it’s not remembering the settings? Apart from that. They seem really good. Landing me a 25lb mirror smashing my PB at a new venue on the 1st morning.
@@ryancurd8539 I've not seen anything about changing the alert style. I had a few sessions with wind and liners and it was getting frustrating so turned the sensitivity right down and it seemed to work. Thankfully they haven't needed to be re-connected at any point and all work straight away so don't know why that might happen. I still use them now and am well happy that they are still going strong. Great to hear you smashed a PB too! I need to get out on some bigger lakes and try to beat mine soon
True I've just been slowing upgrading my tackle and would prefer to hit a few venue's like those first before i go to a place like that. But definitely been interested in tobder manor.
Yeah that's the one I've been wanting to try the runs water there called the sands. I've fished rood ashton a few times just wanting to get amongst some bigger fish so Woodside and shearwater are the beat options I know of. I was supposed to be at shearwater this weekend for a father's day session but unfortunately my friend has let me down 🙄
Your not guaranteed to get amongst the bigger ones at Shearwater. The shallows produce when its warmer but not guaranteed to be bigger. If you want bigger you need to hit todber or coking farm. Viaduct is alright for a decent bend on the rod for a day session and only an hour away

@budgetfishing3611 well hopefully see out on the bank some time. Trying to find a local fishing buddy lol enjoy going on my own but always more fun with company lol
@@karlgale2485 don't hesitate to drop me a message on here and I'm sure something can be worked out. Always nice to have someone to chat with when your out. The local angling clubs have some good waters in the area. I'm planning on doing the lake by the train station in Westbury next time. That's part of the warminster group but you can do exchange tickets from Frome for £2
@budgetfishing3611 yeah that would be cool. I have been told about the local clubs and how you can do the ticket exchange and sounds like a really good deal.
Good stuff. I've been looking have a go down there recently. Have you ever fished shearwater or Woodside? I'm from melksham myself so not far from you and trying to check out all the local venues.
I've done Shearwater a number of times and there is a review on the channel of it somewhere. I think I've done Woodside once. Is that the one near pewsey? If it is then I've not done the specimen lake. There is also rood Ashton near Trowbridge and Rushey Lane near Bradford on Avon but I haven't done that one recently
Sorry this is probaly a really stupid question but what is more sensitve the setting number 1 or settign 5
I think it's 5 but I normally leave them on 3 as that way it isn't too sensitive with every wind gust.
Lose the soundtrack 👎
I'll take that on board 👍
I’ve got the VS version and have synced the alarm colours but have forgotten how to put the light in “standby/wake up on alarm” mode - any clues?
With these ones you turn the light on using the switch on the back and then turn it off using the small button on the outer shell. That way it should be set to activate with your alarms and not stay on all the time
@@budgetfishing3611 thanks for the reply mate, these have a different combination, only two buttons, one is for on/off the other for brightness and both for syncing - I managed to set it up properly once by trial and error last year but have forgotten what I did, I’ll mess about with it tonight once I’m back home, cheers anyway 👍
sorry i am very late but can you have the sound on the alarm and the reciver at the same time
You can indeed but I would say you should keep it low on one of them so you don't annoy everyone on the lake you fish 😂
@@budgetfishing3611 yes thank you its for a small private lake so ican know quickly what rod it is on
@@creatureswithcalvin3084 I leave the alarm and receiver on number 1 each as it's enough during the day and early evening. At night the alarms go to 0 and the receiver to number 2 or 3 and it works for me
@@budgetfishing3611 thank you do they still work i know your video was three years ago?
@@creatureswithcalvin3084 yeah they still work and still go out on every trip I do. Not done a night session for a while but will hopefully get that done later this year
I think you should have got in the shower whilst wearing it - much more realsitic test
I did think about it but didn't want to ruin my phone or burn that image of me in the shower into people's eyes as no one needs or wants to see that 😂
These are like $170-200 USD now.
This video was done a couple of years ago now. Is that more or less than they used to be? I'm surprised to see so many people still seeing it and commenting
@@budgetfishing3611 You’re right I apologize! People have posted videos this year on these alarms, I didn’t notice his was from 3 years ago. But yea seems like these are still really popular.
@@budgetfishing3611 They are more, they sell for around $200 USD which I believe they were about 100-120 usd a couple years ago.
@@trick-luda7584 no need to apologise. I'm just glad it's still getting traction and people are finding it useful
How are those alarms going after 3 years please.thinking of getting a set.
Still going strong. You will see them in my last session vlog and I've not had any issues.
I have this set of alarms for a while now bought them based off watching this video and have used them on many sessions and still going strong but I find that the receiver goes through batterys really quick, I would have to replace battery in receiver probably twice on a 48hr session, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem as they are a great set of alarms and I dont really want to buy a new set, but buying 2 or 3 9v batterys every time i want to go fishing is starting to add up to the price of a new set of alarms, thanks in advance for any info
I'm glad you agree with my review about the alarms. It's strange that they are going through batteries so quick though. Mine goes for quite a few sessions without needing batteries. Are you adjusting on a regular basis during your sessions or have them on night mode at all? If not I have no clue as to what could be causing the issue
It’s a strange one alright, no I don’t do much adjusting on them just lower the tone down at night before going to sleep would be it really, I seen another comment about having it on sensitivity 5 turns them into range mode and there is a way to get it out of range mode which another user explained how to do going to give that a try when I’m out on the bank in 2 weeks and will report back if it works incase anyone else comes across the problem themselves and needs an answer, thanks very much for the reply appreciate the help!
Great alarms though I’ve had them out in some seriously bad weather the last while and haven’t missed a beat can’t fault them apart from my receiver going through batterys quick
Tried the trick of lowering down the sensitivity on the alarm but still no joy my receiver went through one 9v battery on a 24hr
@@adamking8672 I normally have my volume during the day at 1 and at night it is 2 or 3 to make sure I wake up. Do you have them set high on volume?
I’ve just bought the same one very impressed
I didn't watch this video as we didn't catch but it was a good😂
Tbh the rods and reels do the job, provided you know how to play carp to the net, def change the line, that's a must. Spend good money on good line and end tackle, after all the fish can't see what rod you're using but they can see your bait!
Buy second-hand stuff
These bite alarms are excellent for the money . They really are fantastic
Great video mate, only just got round to watching it. Cheers for the shout out 👏🏻😀😀 Congratulations on the PB kitty.
i've been using ccmoore on and off for probably 14 years. 1st used them at tober manor just before little hayes was dug. i love the meteor range than done, i would glug some boilies for weeks in the meteor dip and fish it over a bed of the meteor pellet they also done, a great bait but for some reason they stopped producing them, the live system is also awesome.
Been using one for the last three years without sonar , taken to France three times been faultless good battery life good in rough water for the peanuts it cost a real bargain would get another in a heartbeat
can you plug a second battery in ?
No it has an internal battery and a compartment for another one. It can only use 1 at a time but they do last for ages. You should easily get 2/3 solid days use out of each
I am watch your video at the moment and 2 years from your post . Like you my son and I are on a shoe string and have started out with the ngt product and like you say great stuff . However we are going to upgrade now from the very budget alarms and go for the new style dynamics . One question , are you still using them to date and have been durable enough to last a long time
I am still using them on every session and apart from changing batteries they have been fine. They have been out in all conditions too which has surprised me.
So, hows it holding up after 2 years? Rust/bends etc?
It's fine. Tyre goes flat after a few weeks but nothing 2 mins with a pump the night before doesn't sort. No rust or bends and all grips holding strong
I haven't been float fishing for years.nice looking lakes to while away a few hours. I'm stuck in the carp fishing & then pike seasons. I was hoping to have a go at chub & barbel this summer for something different but never got round to it. Good luck with the job hunting.
Thank you. I have offers floating around but I'm biding my time to pick the right one. I'm hoping to find out where these river spots are and go for a bit of chub fishing and hitting the perch or pike as it gets colder
I got one of these 5yrs ago and only this yr one of the motor’s decided too fail, not bothered as it only cost me £69, but I developed it more by putting a hinged lid on the hopper, so as not to throw the bait off but to pull the lead system off the lid especially with pva bags…ua-cam.com/video/2aPjZL1WBv0/v-deo.htmlsi=dwca6dg6Kd1qfI1o
As the dark nights are back i was looking for a long lasting light this one will do the job thinks
Hi these are advertised with a night light, have you found out how to get it to work? And any luck with the bivvy light yet?
They were advertised as alarms with a bivvy light. I got them to pair up by following the instructions and it's pretty easy if you follow them. Hope that helps
@@budgetfishing3611 great just seen it. Great stuff thank you
Will this comment help you with the algorithm?
Hopefully. I don't know how they work 😂
@@budgetfishing3611 maybe I should write a reply?
Would of been nice to see the run and the fight m8👍😉
I have been trying to catch a run for ages but it's a pain to get. And the fight would have been nice too but sadly I didn't have time to set everything up.
How do they charge 37.50? Are there facilities? Pegs tidy?
The place is very clean and arguably one of the the best fisheries in the UK. There is a large tackle shop on site, toilet block, several lakes etc. Think it's 30 for 24 hours and then however the computer works out for the rest
Prices really are ridiculous
A lot of the big places are now £30 for 24 hours. I think sadly we come to accept it. At least a couple of the places I go to put money back into the fishery unlike some others I can think of
Congrats on the catfish, must have been a pain landing that lump at night! Good to see the NGT alarms still going strong. I've got a bag full of stuff that doesn't get used but I always take it just incase 🤔 I can smell that bacon.
Thank you. It wasn't the easiest thing to try and do on my own in the dark. That bacon was well needed at the time and since getting home I've opened the bag and can't work out what to take out 🙄
Thanks for this video, couldn’t get mine linked up but now they are! 👍
Im very tempted to get one after watching your video! Very much need it on some of the places I fish

How to you pair the remote to the boat x
Hi there, great review! Two years after, would you still recommend them? I am affraid of the handles problem, since that could really impact the stability
It's not too bad. I typically don't have far to go on the lakes I fish so it's more of a convenience thing for me but providing you don't load it too high then you would be fine
Would it be robust enough for the ocean? 8:15
I would say no. I think a couple of waves would drown it having used it on a windy day on a lake.
Would it be robust enough for the ocean?
Nice review. These are under a hundred quid on Amazon UK and great value. Have been wary of NGT, but would consider these ‘cos I’m looking for a set with a receiver to replace my Fox Microns (which are themselves very cheap, but don’t have receiver (or the capability))
Glad you found it useful
