I will explain to you an example considering my joining at basic pay 56500 + 28250(50%da) = 84750 my contribution will be 8475(10%) per month I have not included government contribution ( annually I will be investing 1 lakhs) think about the power of compounding after 30years After 30 years of service, my(considering no pay commission it will be around 30 increment(3%) in basic ) salary will be like around 125000(basic)+ 250000(200%da considering 5% CPI) = 375000 my contribution will be around 37500 per month .ie 4.5laks per annum. if my basic salary increases my contribution will also increase this incremental increase in my investment from 1lakhs to 4.5 lakhs per annum over 30 years will result in a huge return on investment nearing 3C or above considering only my investment ONLY(no government contribution is required ). UPF government pension is 1)50% basic which is 75000 + increase with CPI 2)lumpsum amount will be around 10 to 12L approx For senior citizen POST OFFICE 8.5% interest, invest 3C get 2.4L without tension even after my death 3C is in my deposit (no need of government fund or contribution) IF THE GOVERNMENT GIVES OUR OWN MONEY BACK IT WILL BE VERY HELPFUL. NO NEED OF FRAUD SCHEME or GOVERNMENT CONTRIBUTION *Merging of Basic and DA will be done during the pay commission(I have not considered, even if I considered that my basic will increase,my pension will increase but what about my corpus money which I have deposited over 30 yrs )
