I just noticed, HWINFO seems can't detect the pump speed RPM on Techware mirage 240 but it only detect the 360 or other brand AIO liquid cooler. I thought my mirage 240 is broken because it not appear in HWINFO.

Mine doesn’t be able to pairing / linked between receiver and transmitter. And I have no idea what to do. I’m trying to press that linked button. Still, nothing is happening

The 1280DBS is the better speaker if you prefer neutral sound with no over emphasis towards a particular frequency. It's the best budget audiophile speakers for a balanced sound, well worth the price range, especially if you using to connect to a turntable for Vinyl listening...

I think I am going to upgrade my Edifier R1700BT with the Edifier T5 subwoofer. The mids and highs are I think better in this video. Better things are: loseless bluetooth so no wiring, newer bluetooth version (5 instead of 4 but I don't use it), a display on the bottom and I don't hear the hi-res audio difference?

Is is possible to remove the feet? I want it to fit in some specific space and the height is 0.4cm to high.... The 4 feet are removable? If yes, it will fit perfect.

I really don't understand how this can have 120 watts RMS. I have a old grunding speakers from 80's with 75 watts RMS each one. And with only half of that power they can shake the entire home. You can feel the low frequencies on your body and feets.

The R17 sounds like it would fatigue your eardrums, its all treble.

Hi, I'm thinking about upgrading my R2600 placed next to TV but I also have R1600TIII next to computer (so have a little comparision of Edifier's potential) Except power, I cant decide which one sounds better (more clear, higher) but have a feeling, that R1600 sounds nicer and clearlier - they stand next to computer. But what about R2600? Are they worth to upgrade to S1000MKII or I wont hear much changes, except power? I don't care that much about lower tones (it would be nice, but it's not the main requirement), I care about better (more clear) higher tones and also about mid-tones. ps. Is that true feeling, that in your comparision R1700 sound more clear than S1000MKII? Which one have more mid-tones also? Regards

I love my 2008 Creative Gigaworks T something 2.1 35W speakers. Old, wired, broken volume and bass controller. But 16 years and still working and sound I am so used to, I don't know if buying 300+$ speakers will change anything on my 2020 pc.

Tilt the 1280 like the 1700 and then see how it sounds. The 1280's are sitting back some on the stand tops which is having an effect on the sound. Fix the test set up guys!

I don't think the comparison is fair because the R1280DB is adjusted to play at a much lower volume than the R1700BT. You need to ensure both outputs the same decibel before doing the comparison.

This doesnt make justice to s1000, which owns in details irl, unlike here, coz of wrong test setup. If directional mic is used, it should be placed where tweeters are pointing. Speaker themselves are in angle, plus different height favors smaller ones. 1700 are indeed bright, but with dip in the mids, thats why details cant hold a candle to Edifier models like MR4 or s1000.

S series is on another level than R s

The R1700BT seems to compare to the R1280DB much in the same way as hitting the LOUDNESS button on a '90s Technics stereo I have does. Bunch of boost to the lows and highs at the expense of mids and balance. Makes me think the R1700BT is the better choice by itself for a stereo TV/movie setup whereas the R1280DB might win by itself for a computer desk/bedroom music setup. You could also hook up a subwoofer to the R1280DB at which point it might pull ahead in a living room environment, but I'm not 100% sure. Hooking up a sub isn't even an option on the R1700BT unless you get the R1700BTs which loses the blackwood option and only comes in this red shade of walnut. Then again you might even be able to get these to sound almost the same with the bass and treble adjustment knobs, but you'd have to experiment with that. This is just my impression from this untuned sound demo.

Trus me. Don't listen to edifier speaker. Totally rubbish. Please spend more money on Japan, USA or UK speaker. finally you are satisfy for what you pay for. The China's active speaker can stop working any time after one year 100% money lost. music is for enjoyment not for like suffering from the torture sound. I just can't breath when I am listening to China's speaker. like super loud paper bass. they can not make the real sound speaker. Like the movie, China's movie is can not compare with the Hollywood movie. Even They spend the same amount of money. German, USA, Japan or UK, they make the best sound speaker to make money. China's is copying clone sound fake sound alike speaker to sell cheap for money. may be too expensive to make the true sound speaker, china don't want spent too much money to make speaker.

1700s hands down. They sound far more open and room filling. Where as the 1280s sound very boxy.

For a budget AIO, it has quite the accessories, has a fan/ARGB hub and thermal paste within the box. Any recent update with the AIO in 2022? Is it still working as intended?

In my family we discovered Edifier speakers in 2020. Now I’ve got the S1000MKii in one room in my house and the R1855DB in another room. One of my kids (adult kids 😀) has the R2000DB in her house and another has the R1700BT in her house. Each of the R Series speakers that we have produces a fantastic sound, from high thru mid to low end. Believe me, these speakers are really very, very good and do certainly satisfy for music, TV, gaming whether from CD, record turntable, phone, tablet, PC by either wired or BlueTooth connection. No complaints. However, the S1000MKii’s that I have in my house, are another step up again in quality. These speakers are truly Excellent (with a capital E). Sometimes I think that it would be hard to beat the sound from the R Series, because it’s just so good. Then later I’m in the other room with the S1000’s going and I’m just blown away. And I’m really more than happy with the connection versatility of these guys with optical toslink, coaxial, BlueTooth and two separate RCA inputs. That’s five different ways to connect several devices! There’s nothing wrong with any other brand named speakers - Klipsch, JBL, KEF, Audioengine etc…. They’re all great, except for one thing…the price. Fo me that’s where Edifier beats them all out of the ballpark. I have found that with Edifier I’m getting premium level sound for much less than half or even one third of what some other speakers cost. I’ll be using these speakers for at least another two/three years before I get the itch to see if there’s any need to change up again.
