    Hello i'm having trouble with this method i follow the steps for the first way but when i use the gizmo it simply moves and rotates the shape not bends it, do you have any suggestions?

    • @Tabletsculptingtips
      @Tabletsculptingtips 7 днів тому

      Sorry for delay replying. When gizmo tool is selected, on the left hand side of your screen there should be a shield shape. Click this and you can change between different gizmo modes. Maybe yours is set to group. Try setting it to “auto”. I can’t think of any other suggestion. Hope it works.

      Hi. It’s just the tube tool. Create a tube then click the 3 dots on the tube menu bar at top of screen. Then click the spiral checkbox and play around with settings. Hope that helps

    Create a tube. Go into the tube properties, drop the Dimension X to 4 and the post subdivision to 2. Now you have rounded tubes. You can also use the Radius modifiers in the tube properties.

      Go to the top right of the video and hit the settings logo. Then hit playback speed. You can slow down the video speed that way. Trust me it took me waaaaaaay too long to figure that out 😂

      Try using the crease brush, but once you've selected it, on the left side of screen there should be a button that says "invert". Click that and then see how it works.

    Thank you for the video but honestly this seems like a hugely over-complicated workflow. Way better to just spend the extra £15 for Quad Remesher.

    • @Tabletsculptingtips
      @Tabletsculptingtips 4 місяці тому

      No problem! I mention (maybe at the end of the video, I forget) that Android users don't have many options for retopology on their devices: no quadremesher, no cozyblanket, no Uniform; so I hope this is helpful to any of them if they want to try. I think manual retopology is fiddly and time consuming whatever tools you're using (I've used blender, cozy blanket and Uniform!) and for relatively simple forms I think this method is surprisingly usable (especially with a quicker way to join the extrusions using boolean pointed out by a viewer!) I don't necessarily expect many people to do manual retopology in Nomad, the video is more about experimenting with what's possible and pushing the limits of Nomad, and hopefully learning some interesting things along the way! All the best.

    nice! another way, so that you can use it on an active, live tube: go into the tube primitive under "tube topology" uncheck the "link" button take division "x" down to "4" take the division "y"down to 6 (or 5) drag the "post subdivision" up to "5" now you can mess around with it all day and it'll have perfect ends. it can get wonky if you do spirals and profiles, but sometimes you can fix it by messing with the above numbers. I use this mostly for fingers and toes!

  • @Tabletsculptingtips

    The excellent @ProcreateFX has pointed out that there's an even quicker way to add the spheres to the tube ends. At the bottom of the tube primitive menu there's a button called "curve repeater"; click this, then go straight to the scene menu and add a sphere. Spheres should automatically appear at the tube ends in the right place. You can also tap the yellow radius control point of the tube and see the numerical value of the radius. You can copy this directly to the radius of the sphere to get the exact size more quickly. Thanks again to @ProcreateFX
