John Wayne was one of my favorite actors. But, "John Wayne" was more than just an actor, it was a concept personified by the actor. It was... man up, suck it up, be tough and reach your goal inspite of all obstacles. I think we could use a little more John Wayne in our society today.

We can't imagine the pain and anger men on both sides were going thru. All were put thru immense suffering being forced to bear more then any man should have to bear. When everything you love is gone and all that you have left is anger and pain with no prospects of any kind of future...then I guess we would be just a form of man.
