Since 1984, the George Pocock Rowing Foundation has enjoyed a rich history of working with successful outreach programs, bringing people in the Pacific Northwest region together, and partnering with public school districts, parks and recreation departments, city councils, and foundations, to operate the largest youth rowing outreach effort in the county. Fueled by our vision to build and support an inclusive rowing community that is accessible for all young people, we launched Erg Ed® in 2010 in three Seattle Middle Schools. By 2014, Erg Ed® was an integrated part of the standard physical education curriculum for all Seattle Public School students in Middle and K-8 schools and this was just the beginning.
