INTEGRATED WELLBEING
As we develop our God given angels, we are always so keen on developing all components of their lives; from physical, mental, and emotional health to interpersonal relationships.
Using a holistic approach, we ensure that our program participants live their lives to the fullest.
We do alot of Sporting activities with the children just to keep them physically fit. We have also been exposing them to Cluster Competitions as a way of preparing them for the future tournaments.
16 participants Participated in Kitui Cluster Sports tournament and competed in athletics, this was in December 2023
The annual health screenings done helps us to know how well we can reduce illnesses among our participants.
We partner with Tseikuru Subcounty Hospital departments to help us conduct Nutrition trainings for the Program Participants, Hygiene trainings and Reproductive health training for the Project Caregivers.
To prepare the participants on leadership, we have helped them set a strong Participants leadership all the way from the President to class representatives elected by their peers.
We also conduct colourful Birthday celebrations for them, which makes the participants feel loved and cared for.
These responsibilities have increased their self esteem and self confidence.
The 17 Participants who are in leadership are able to organize others to do compound cleaning and Devotions with little involvement of teachers.
Despite being a young project, our program participants are making tremendous progress in school where we have 2 participants in Boarding Schools and 2 More participants in grade 6 awaiting their KPSEA examination.
Their ability to lead devotions in our saturday programs and make presentations during our common events is so heart warming.
The future of these young participants is so promising!!!
