Using the “Drizzle” option can slightly increase image size, but this camera isn’t about resolution; it’s designed specifically for high-focal-length Ha solar imaging. Its larger pixels capture varying brightness without saturation and maintain a good FPS rate, which is essential for capturing sharp, dynamic solar details. Meanwhile, in some cases IMX174 sensor would be more suitable, and it has a bit higher resolution.

I've only used Pegasus PowerBox v1 (installed on my second deep sky imaging rig) and Pegasus Mini (installed on 10" SCT that is on the background in the video). I think it's incorrect to compare them to Wanderer Pro V3 since the last one has many more features. I believe the closest competitor to Pro V3 would be Pegasus Ultimate V3, but I cannot tell which one is better since I haven't used Ultimate version. Talking about "keeping the voltage" for Pro V3, I haven't faced any issues with the power supply / distribution, and I do a lot of imaging considering the amount of clear nights I have. For example, I got a little over 120 hours of exposure time on different targets over October, and all the aspects of the box were running smoothly.

@@AstroCreation ok and the voltages? Did you check to see if it holds/maintains voltage required for example the zwo AM mounts which are finicky?

@@johnsmith-rd9rr I haven't tested it with AM mount since I don't have it, but I haven't experienced any issues with the voltages drops during the imaging session with my equipment.

Im in the same boat. I think he's using the cables that came with the box. I custom made a couple cables for my mele's usb c power input. MOST usb cables include that power limiting feature which is why they cant be used in this scenario.

@@AstroCreation For my setup I had the powerbox connected to one USB port on the MiniPC, and the mount connected to the other USB port. I found the powerbox was causing the mount to regularly disconnect, and required it to be re-connected. This meant that guiding stopped working. I also found that sometimes the Pegasus Unity software didnt recognize it, and needed some time to 'find it'. Things seemed to work better when the mount was connected to the powerbox, but that doesnt really work for my setup as I have the PC mounted to the pier, and I dont want to have a USB cord coming from the Powerbox mounted on the telescope back down and causing potential cable snags.

There is no banding on my latest images with this camera. I’m currently in a middle with a deep sky project and SV605MC. Frames look good with no banding

Thank you for the comment! As of now, it is possible to control dew heater in NINA! I shared your comment with Wanderer Astro, and they responded that it is possible now. You can check out the manual with details. Basically you need to install a plug in in NINA that will be used to send commands to the flat panel. It can be setted up in advanced sequencer!

I actually started with 3X Barlow Lens (SvBony SC213) once I finished my mod (you can see it it in some clips). 2x + ADC is a part of experiments and learning more about solar astrophotography. I might end up with an achromat telescope for that since I want to go back to deep sky imaging with 122mm APO Thanks for the advice about a cooler from Amazon. I'll check it out!

I would mostly use FireCapture, but SharpCap recenly started working better than it had been.

@@AstroCreation my 705c arrived and saw the first light yesterday. Works much better than 305c. The problem is that achieving a good focus with sct 6se is a bit of a challenge, and as my other rig is asiair-centered, I need to build a decent software suite to serve my Celestron. I cannot tell if it works with ASIAIR or not... My guess that it shouldn't.

You can track them... you are so frightened of information, i feel looking through a telescope pointed at saturn would terrify you.

@@sebastianfischer2082 How tha fuk is Saturn magically sitting still in the sky long enough for you to make it out to be a planet & not just a Star if it's supposedly constantly orbiting the Sun? 🤣🤣🤣

@@tonyflatearther dude just look up at and it'll make a little more sense, they do move but we do not percieve them as zipping around the sun from our distance to them as it does take 30 years for saturn to make its way around the sun. If you look up at it you'll notice that an hour later it has moved but it's more than easy to get a good view with a lense, to take photos like this depending on how long they take photos for the telescope will track along with the movement.

Hello, Andy! I haven't tried it in the advanced sequencer yet primarily because I hadn't switched to it yet. I'll try it myself and see if it works or not.

Okay let me know. I’ve gone a week with it and it has not closed at the end of my sequence.

Update: I have resolved the issue. The “Close flat panel” instruction in NINA cannot run in parallel with other instructions. It needs to be a standalone global instruction. I have tested a few times and everything now works as it should.

It might be an option for visual and your balancing has to be much better than perfect. I'm currently experimenting with my 10" SCT and EQ6-R Pro. I've even tried some deep sky astrophotography with it.

Just checked. It leads to the focuser. The problem is that it sold out at the moment :)

Plate solving goes easyly with IMX 571 sensor. For the last couple of weeks I've used sv405cc camera and I had to increase the exposure time to be able to plate solve with this filter.
