I would like to make a simple crossbody bag for myself. I have purchased a yard of soft PU. I will be watching more of your tutorials. Love my UA-cam teachers. Thank you.

I waste so many of them not because I put same gender snap on both side but because they don't hold or don't snap, got mine on amazon maybe they are a difettive batch the point seems a bit too short, so the female comes off the fabric and ends up on the male, this time after throwing away so many, finally they seemed correct, but they would not snap together, I find them so frustrating

Thank you! At 11pm last night, I sat here looking at the frame, purse pouch and glue frustrated. I've been sewing long enough to know . . there must be a way because it's been DONE before! It was the glue technique that changed everything. Allowing it to dry enough for it to not be messy and still be playable was EVERYTHING. I'd send you a picture if I could. The purse is adorable and now my dress has a matching custom clutch.

Is there some kind of marking on there to let beginners know this is waxed so we don’t use it in our machines

Have you tried this hack with the zipper tapes that have been sewed into a pouch.

If you get zippers by the yard here's a trick for you to make life easier - put on all the zipper heads at the same time. Then all you have to do is move them down the zipper tape when you have to cut off what you need. Of course this works best if you only need one zipper head per zipper. But, if you need two zipper heads on a zipper, it's not difficult to cut off the length you need, remove one head and stick it back on in the correct direction to make a double headed zipper.

I have never sewn a bag and didn’t even know what PU was but I watched the entire video. I am amazed at how much I learned and what an amazingly delightful teacher you are. Now I am even more curious about bag making. I believe my Janome Continental M7 would be able to sew PU

Wow, great, thank you. I've tried the fork method but it is such a fiddle and I can never get the fork to hold still. I've just ordered the towel hooks and looking forward to less frustrating zip making!
