This looks like a good video and it is but yeah I have no idea what's going on lol. I do wish I can see a bit better but older video yes so that's fine no problem there.
Hello, I wanted to ask you for help. I have the same model that you present with an integrated fan "Delco model 15757047". The radio works well but it is missing a frequency coil to tune the different radio stations, so I wanted to know if you could tell me the codes. the coil so I can search for it and be able to repair my radio, I thank you in advance, thank you. The coil I'm asking you about is located just behind the radio's power button, along with two 47 microfarad 16 volt electrolytic capacitors.
El Camino college's air conditioning program sucks?... It instructor Vic Cafarsha stinks and he is lousey instructor and an even worse teacher. El Camino college is for the fucking birds. ..
Nice video lesson on aux. I counted the bottom connection spot from left to right 15 solder globs then 2 globs then the 1 single one is it. the top wire hooks to furthest left blob , of cross ways row of 7 I have a radio like this from a 1999 venture van. I got it home, from salvage yard ) think I paid $10) Tried it on my test bench. Lite up display for just a second and fuse blew between radio and my 12 volt power supply . Do you suggest looking for a bad capacitor in the power supply. My other radio similar hooks up at the bench & worked fine. So its not the bench wiring.

Hi. I bought a modded delco radio for my 2004 Astro, but despite it works, the sound is mono and lacks good tone. Seems not to go thru the preamp. I can adjust bass/treble, but the sound is not good. What do you think?
I have a problem.. my CD player on the stock radio doesn’t engage and won’t let the signal from the Bluetooth modulator interrupt CD player music.. is the a bypass to trick the cd player to stay on??
Nice video. Been watching a few videos about adding auxiliary inputs to car head units. Very interesting indeed. You wouldn't happen to know how to locate the preamp output signals in a FM modulator? I have a Kenwood 10 disc cd changer that I would like to add to a newer vehicle's factory head unit which is equipped with an auxiliary input. Problem is I do not want to utilize the FM modulated signal as the sound quality is terrible. I have the service manuals for both the cd changer and FM modulator, but I cannot figure out how to bypass the fm modulator. I would like to add 2 RCA connectors to the modulator, actually bypassing the fm modulation of the signal and have a nice clean full bandwidth signal to feed to my auxiliary input. Is this possible?
Great video! Your side kick did much better than Vanna White from Wheel of Fortune. Give me a "V", Can i buy a vowel? I'd like to buy an "A". I'd like to solve he puzzle... it"s "HVAC" lol
Question for anybody.... 2000 Yukon XL. The center console had this blank spot that looks like a power outlet should go there. Would this be possible with a USB port going there? That way I could charge my phone and play music off if it too? Please let me know.
Thanks a lot, i did it to my radio and it’s working beautifully. I made a video using your method in my channel with better resolution so people can see the solder points better
Super! I just test this on a Carrier HK42FZ013 board. Use a diode for microwave, I got 8uA, without adding resistor. The board running without error. 100VAC on sensor connector. Thanks a lot Tim, you are the best!
I would like to see a video on how to add an input to the Monsoon radio found in many GM vehicles. Specifically the ones with the AUX button found in the Pontiac Grand Am.
This crap just isn't worth it. Way to much work it's dumb. Just get a new deck. Not expensive can get one for $10. Plug, slide it in, good to go voila. This shit here just isn't worth it.

I picked up a Delco at a junkyard for $15 that looks like this one, its Model #16210475. I was about to attempt the mod but I cannot find the harness wiring to hook it up on a bench to a regulated power supply. Also, from my digging around on the web it seems that this model has an MP3/AUX output already as noted by the button showing CD AUX? I did also get the other harness that I suppose went to an external changer or XM or ?? Perhaps that is another place to tie in an input jack?
Where do you wire in the 3.5jack? I dont get “break the fm modulator” or the wave length thing. Can you do a step by step on the wiring please? I have a 99 astro
Isaac, did you figure this out? I ended up ordering the 5 position closed circuit jack but after a couple of tries I still have not figured out how to wire it? I think I am just going to add a dbdt mini toggle switch with amp L/R to middle, tuner L/R to one end and jack L/R to other end where I will just install a standard stereo 3.5mm jack. Radio Shacks are out of business so gotta shop around I guess.
Anyone know where you can find the internal wiring schematics for this head unit? I want to do something similar to mine but bluetooth.
Very good basic description
Rip Tim Muckey great teacher
