We all know that suicidal thoughts, suicide attempts and suicides are far too common in the LGBT community. Many stopped watching and gave up on Pharper...

Most likely, but there's still a month to go until the finale. I wouldn't bet on a happy ending for Drewper just yet. Too much has happened in between and the series has many twists and turns. We'll see. In the end, it doesn't even matter because Ria (Harper) is rumored to have left the series. (it's a rumor, but since hardcore fans started it, nothing points in a different direction, quite the opposite.)

@@kaviyaraasipannirselvam9168 Oh wow, a real fan. Hi! Shortland Street will NOT END!!! Only this season ends on December 23rd. They're coming back in Jan or Feb 2025 with the next season. Only Pharper fans are calling it an end because it's the end of the "affair season/our Pharper season". And probably for Pharper overall. Unfortunately rumors say Ria (Harper) won't return, so we'll see if that's true and if not, hopefully Pharper will live on into the next season. We don't know how this season ends, I hope with a Pharper happy ending too. Anything is still possible. It's too early to say. I think it's too soon to end with Drewper, they twist and turn their stories quite a lot right? You can probably tell me if that's just my opinion after watching this season and its wlw storylines...

I better write like my life depends on it while there’s still a shipper or two left. 😅 I haven’t given up on them completely, but I’m going to stop watching on the 13th. Friday cliffhangers make me wish the weekend away. I don’t want to the same with my summer holiday. I’m weak 😜

@@KateMcKenzie-r1f Haha, yes, I understand that, they have sad and tragic cliffhangers. I haven't completely given up either, although we most likely won't get a happy ending. I'm also starting to believe the rumor that Ria (Harper) has left the show and that Harper won't make it to next year. That would be a real shame. I really hope the rumor isn't true. So there are two things to hope for: A happy ending for Pharper and Harper in general 🤞Happy holidays!

It’s the long game with soaps . Continue making social media noise. What’s there to lose at this point and everything to gain. Even if it’s completely hopeless, let’s not give up hope and continue to let the writers know what we want :)

@@alichita13 Last week and this week Pharper was fine. After a rough patch they are on very good terms again. They can help each other to heal. Phil could help Harper not to turn mad because of her guilt.... 🤷 It's still a month until it's really over. Nothing is decided yet. Everything will change again and again... Drew's suffer story will hopefully be over next week... still 3 weeks left 🤷. I don't think we'll get the pharper ending we want but still... they'll not leave us stranded with nothing for the next 3 weeks.

Love is love. We don't celebrate divorce. We celebrate Harper and Phil. You don't cheat on your partner if you're happy in your marriage. I'm part of the queer community. We are completely underrepresented in the media. That's why we love wlw couples who seem genuinely in love with each other. And Harper was/is one of those rare couples who are fun to watch because they have great chemistry. So I'd be happy if wlw love won and we got a blended family story.... (that's not going to happen, (for other reasons) but Pharper has given Shortland Street a huge PR boost which is hard to explain unless you're part of the LGBT+ community yourself. Because of the few media couples, we all see the same content worldwide... and 1 in 10 people are queer so there are a lot of us 🌈 divorce is sad. Cheating is not OK. But sometimes love finds its way when you don't want it and you can't control your feelings...

@@totallylost8696 so aptly stated. I’m tired of quoting references from last decade when it comes to really good movies and wlw couples. But after what happened with Drew plot, I don’t even know if I want them back to together. One thing that I had foolishly cherished about this story so far was lack of trauma. Then they go ahead and mix it in. Maybe we don’t matter. It was probably too much to ask from the writers to stay away from traumatic stories. Drew has a lot of narcissistic traits. But I see that getting rewarded consistently on this show. The message they’re putting out is women and their happiness doesn’t matter. Don’t dare to love. Stick with current horrible marriage no matter how much time you keep making each other miserable and fighting. It’s all Harper’s fault that Drew has been uncommunicative throughout the time before and after he found out about the affair. She’s been trying a lot. But guess that doesn’t matter. Hang Harper because she dared to actually go after someone who paid attention to her instead of narcissistic, selfish person like Drew. I’m so done with this show. Hate I ever came across horrible thing called #pharper. I wish the actors had not advertised the relationship in the first place. Give people false hope when they knew the outcome. I’m so tired of trauma in wlw stories. Even Happiest Season from 2020 had so much trauma in it. It’s like we don’t deserve happiness.

@totallylost8696 thanks a lot for being so nice. Feels good to have people on the same side 😊 I was utterly heartbroken when the episode ended where Drew took pills. I hope more people in the world realize a little bit of kindness and compassion go long ways. That's another thing I hate about #drewper supporters is they have so much vitriol. Hey we knows cheating isn't good, but it wasn't a meaningless fling either. I wish Harper had been treated with more compassion. Someone to help her get through everything. Drew always needs things from her but doesn't give back. He's dismissive of her. She's completely alone. Sometimes how I feel on Shorty socials defending #pharper. That was all worthless.

Yes I agree with mostly what being said 🌹 but these shows are taking advantage of the LGBT+ community . When they do a story line with w|w they viewers ship and ratings goes up and still choose to ignore the fact that the viewers want the outcome not always to be painful or tragic , yes the shows are Drama and that’s what pulls the audience in. Right now. I am checking out a storyline on Lisa and Carla really looking forward to their storyline Carla hitting fifty being straight her whole life and now she’s developing feelings for this woman who is gay. I am from the US but always looking forward for a good story that will not always break your heart 💔 So far I am seeing Thailand have been bringing all sorts of series with happy ending and their ratings are off the chart for me there characters are so young but the audience are enjoying it. Hopefully America & Europe will get better ❤️‍🩹

As much as I want Harper and Phil together, after everything that's happened, neither are they getting back together anytime together, nor would it be appropriate given the turn of events as of right now. But whatever happens w Pharper, Harper and Drew are bad together, and that's a fact. I hope they get a divorce and Drew's suicide trope isn't just happening for them to stay together.

@@akoeyoo I agree, there is hope until the 23rd of December ;) IF HARPER WAS / IS IN LOVE WITH PHIL it's not a solution to go back together with Drew only because he couldn't handle his best friends problems and his family. Harper had her reasons to start the affair. IF SHE (!) fell in love, there is still hope. Because even Drew should know that he can't force his marriage onto Harper if he's only her second choice. But we will see how this turns out. Of course I also give Drewper 70 % chance and Pharper a far less chance. /PS: And no, I didn't steal this comment :D I was logged in with a wrong/work account before.

@@nushhhush We are one month (!) away from the season finale. In that month, Drew has been heartbroken, cool, kind, over it, supportive, complete asshole, and now suicidal... The finale will be AGAIN a 180 degree turn of everything. There's plenty of time left for something interesting to happen. Drew's drama will hopefully be over next week. But prepare for the worst because there's a rumor that Ria (Harper) has left the show... so most likely neither of them will end up with a partner and we're all heartbroken. But it's just a rumor, no idea if it's true.

@@indiegamedevelopment Sure, the storyline isn't over yet. We fans don't know how this will end. I would give them a 50/50 chance because the LGBT audience on social media loves them and makes a lot of noise about them. If they want to build a new woke audience, it would be foolish to let them go... But it would be a long shot because the show already has a wlw couple (Maeve + Nicole) so they would probably have to split up too... and that's on top of Harper + Drew getting divorced... I don't know if the long-standing fans would approve of that. But we'll find out soon.

Probably because it gets them clicks & followers? LGBT+ fans are not to be underestimated when it comes to beloved fanships. We are so underrepresented that many of us are basically watching and promoting the same content and right now many of us are shipping Pharper... which means they have become globally known in our community... We can only hope their producers have also taken notice and we get them back as a couple 🤞

I'm a bit confused with harper, why she keeps fighting to keep Drew. I can't stand the guy. It's really frustrating to watch shortie in real time. Every friday they always leave us with hope then crush it the following week.

@@bmhh5085 I agree. This week it's even more obvious: 4 days without Phil, BUT of course she's there in the last scene for a sweet moment with Harper to create the weekend cliffhanger. We all know Maeve and Nicole would have to split up first to make room for Harper and Phil because they would never allow 2 wlw couples on the show. Or!? We need patience. OR if they keep Nicole and Maeve they should give us a real ending to our faves! Then they shouldn't juxtapose Phil and Harper in love anymore even if we're instantly excited about it again... see the sweet Friday moment. We now know they haven't fallen out of love despite a lot of crap so we can at least hope that the two become more...🤞 AND the actresses are still posting Pharper stuff AND they're weeks ahead in the shooting schedule...🤞

True and sounds good. That would be a perfect storyline for me too. Honestly, I really hope Maeve and Nicole break up so Harper and Phil can become THE wlw couple of the show - as long as N+M are together, I don't see a future for H+P. It seems to be a pretty gay show, but they don't live in THE L WORD :D But Harper and Phil have already said it out loud: Nicole secretly loves Drew... maybe it's true and hopefully she'll act on her feelings again :D Did you also start watching the show because of Harper and Phil, or are you a long-time fan?

@@lylis44 Yes. I THINK EITHER A) When H finds out P is leaving the hospital she realizes she can't let her go... and they get back together. OR B) Divorce... and when H lets her guard down she realizes how much she loves P but it's too late because P has moved on. I hope it's not over yet! I'd love a patchwork family story with them.

When you think about it, they weren’t really together that long. They shared less than a dozen of kisses and we are all obsessed w them. Lol. The chemistry with them two is crazy. Hopefully they give us more of them two together.
