On the newer jeeps with discs those nuts get torqued to 50ft/lbs. Then the thin outer washer bends over the outer nut to stop it. Like the guy above said. Thanks for explaining that grease process for the bearings. I was doing it bass ackwards.

I rested a 72 Ford 3000 gas but it was in much better shape to start with, redid the front bucket, heavier front axe, instaIIed a JD front Ioader, and aIso a New HoIIand back hoe, new Iarger front tires and a new paint job with decaIs looked like new and ran it for years ran it for years,

A number of other vehicles that woulda fit the bill etc! heh heh heh Don't get me wrong, it's just my testes ascended up near my tonsils in horror during the process. You'd be a fun neighbor to have, but I'd ply you with alcohol and make you fix all my broken shit....... Keep up the projects!

Not surprised....i love growing in bales, however, with root crops, it's hit or miss. You should remember that straw bales hold a lot of moisture/water plus they produce heat for a long period of time...that's what i believe caused all of that.

Being a farmer, I would think the hay bale got too hot for the potatoes. That is what caused the rooting and splitting. The bale broke down way too fast.
