Fixing the handbrake, installed new slotted and drilled rotors in the rear, strip the donor down and get all the parts I need squared away for doing the manual swap in my 330CI The goal is to be able to take this car out and drift it without worry for less than 2500 bucks and it NOT fall apart!!

We went to Orlando studios and Islands of Adventure, We rode around on our bikes, Went to see our first Nascar race at the Crazy Daytona Speedway for the Xfinity 250, and ended out trip at Sebring International Speedway for USDC round 2 Drift Pro Am comp!

Been running this exhaust for a week now and it’s crazy loud, shoots hella big flames & pops and burbles like crazy. Definitely worth it! neighbours might be pissed tho haha
Is it the exhaust that does it or have you done something else to get the flames and burbles?

@@b_bakerso best to keep the silencer off? I just installed mine, and didnt install the silencer but its Hella loud lol 🤣 but im guessing with it on it wont sound as loud
@@karlaleiva5210 baffle/ silencer on! Without is way to loud! With it's even at the upper limit of how loud we would want it

is the tune really necessary? im having troubles on rather if i should really do it? i just want the bike to sound better unless the bike will go bad i would do it.
We don't run a tune but it's recommended.
I have the full ko lighting exhaust for my 2021 and I can confirm that piece isn’t required I don’t have it on mine and the springs look no where near as stressed
Well, I guess that means I'll be pulling it apart and seeing if it wants to play ball without it!
Hey man fellow Best Virginian here, yeah broh that sleeve is supposed to come out, then the mid pipe fits right into the KO. And the springs won't be as stressed as they look. Like I messaged earlier, I asked the seller and he showed me pictures that the sleeves is there for other sized mid pipes. But if yours works cool, but I took mines out and it slid right in. I'm in Charleston, I seen one of your videos and was like "man that looks like the back roads of the Best Virginia baby....lol. Ride safe and maybe one day our paths may cross. Peace
Paths may indeed cross one day, as your not very far off from us! Join up on the WV rockets page on FB if you're not already, they plan rides all the time in our areas. I may try pulling that sleeve out, but it doesn't seems to be the correct angle to line up with the muffler mount that's supplied if I did that, that is why I figured the tapered insert was rounded.

Sweet video broh, What state is that? Looks like West Virginia where I am. I bought my wife a 2021 R3 and she's not trying to be a biker girl....lol. She rode it once her first time ever in a school parking lot and did great. But she's just too nervous. If she doesn't learn....well I'm not getting rid of the bike but her on the other hand.....😂😂😂
Hey broh, love the bike and video. But I have the same exhaust system and I noticed on the inlet of the slip on, there's a round like piece of pipe. And it's keeping the muffler to slide completely on the mid pipe. I noticed that you didn't take yours off. Are you supposed to take it off or leave it in the slip on?
The round pipe sits against the midpipe for adjustment, it should seal once you run the springs on it, I made a short video showing it go check it out
@b_baker oh ok, I had reached out to the seller and he said that it's supposed to come out. So I got some needle nose pliers and pulled it out and it slipped right on to the mid pipe. But nevertheless that thing is a beast. It absolutely screams. Baffles out is insanely loud. Stay safe and thanks for the response

A oil return drilled/tapped while oil pan was off for future turbo setup. Hope we get part 4,5 and 6 soon.

Is there any special work to make the ar5 work with the 4200? Or can you just get a flywheel 10.5in clutch and a pilot bearing/bushing? What pilot bearing/bushings work for the 4200? I’m trying to figure a transmission for my build and I would really like to have a manual work out. Your feed back is much appreciated.
With the flywheel and spacer for the slave from emtech it all works great just bolts together! No adapters or anything needed, used an LS pilot pushing I believe and Ford modular motor flywheel bolts

Great build!! I’m literally looking for a Colorado stick. I have a mint mint 03 envoy 4.2 RWD on air suspension. I been planning to turbo it, I built a separate 4.2 rods/pistons etc. but I figured I keep it a cruiser and try to find a manual Colorado and swap the 4.2 into it. The 4200 is a great motor. I have a ls2 s13/t56 street/drift car. I can’t imagine drifting my envoy or a blazer! You definitely will have a fun truck! Great work!
$500 on a Trailblazer? $300 on an Atlas ll8? Man, I live on the wrong country. Here in Brazil, you don't find these things and if we had a Trailblazer probably will cost like $5K the cheapest and the worst one. Congratulations on your commitment, I'm parachuted into the channel and I'm following the project!
Updates have been delayed but are in route, this build has shaped up to be awesome and I cannot wait to show everyone how far it's come!

Pretty sure it has an 02 bung and the stock 02 went right back in
Maybe it's the way the mic picks it up but the startup doesn't sound to different maybe just a bit deeper, but the takeoff and driving sounds allot more lively and the pops and bangs seemed to be louder as well. How does it sound on start up in person? is there a noticeable difference?
It is similar to the stock sound but a lot louder for certain

Started filming an update just the other day actually, for me it's hard to try and pick up the camera when I am zoned into working. A lot of has happened since this video and it about to get really fun so stay tuned!

Did it fit good in the headers
It fits okay, I had to tweak the headers a tad, and slide the canister up away from them
@@b_baker I put that exhaust over the weekend unfortunately it’s too loud for me taking it off today
@@tonysilva8222 if you do not have it installed, you should add the baffle /db killer. It quiets it down to much more appealing volume.

Pretty sure I've linked it in the comments already, just type in r3 full exhaust on eBay, the kit has multiple options for mufflers.
Hello! great job on the install! Was wondering how well this kit held up and if you still have it on?
It's held up great but the bikes only been ridden 600 miles this far, which the kit has been on since it's had almost zero miles.
Why not just the Colorado clutch and flywheel
The 4/5 cylinders have a smaller crank bolt pattern for the flywheel so you'd have to have it machined to fit. And then it's a lot smaller than the 10.5 setup I am using so won't hold the same amount of power

Back with another question I used your video for my installation, it’s loud and I like loud but It’s like 114DB have you put in a DB killer or earplugs. I liked riding with my AirPods :/ but it might not be the best idea now
We ended up putting the DB killer in and it was well worth it. Still sounds killer and is loud but not as obnoxous headache @@maguire9496

I have a plasma cutter actually, you'd be surprised how easily a good carbide tooth blade will slice up some material like it's made of plastic.
The pilot bushings are better in my book. I had a needle bearing come apart and score up my muncie 25 years ago, haven;t used on since then.
This is my first manual build, I appreciate the advice, if I have problems myself I'll probably move to a bushing as well
Looks like you're going to have a popular show between this build and the suburban. Interested to hear your impression of the 5 speed, the toyota it's so much like are nice. Been thinking of one for my Camaro with a small block.
I need to get back into the swing of things, getting sick and then hurt kinda made things go out of wack with keeping up with all the workload
The 5 speed so far is great! It's smooth and the ratio seems okay, I think the car version or the one from a sling shot would have a better gear ratio but I am enjoying it as far as I've been testing this week. Shifter is kinda forward as well vs the car model. New videos to come
I have a 2001 S10 4wd, and I want to do this swap! Mine won't be for racing though, it'll be a workhorse. I mainly want to do this for the efficiency and better power than the 4.3. I'd like to see if I can get near 25mpg highway and still be able to tow the 6000ish pounds the truck is rated for. Plus I'm just a fan of straight-6 engines in general.
4wd would be interesting, I wonder if you could swap out the stock diff on the blazer and use the one built into the oil pan on the 4200.

I just installed this on my 2016 r3 today..what a difference. That thing is loud for a r3. Easy install except the springs that come with it don't expand easily. So I used a torch. The 02 sensor fit fine. I'm going to get it flashed but I don't think you need it.
We will eventually flash this one as well, but for now it works wonderfully! Glad you are enjoying it after it going on pretty easy

Engine from a trailblazer and trans from a Colorado. Engine is same as the Colorado one mostly. Bolts right up.
