Nearly Seamless Chenille Yarn Join
Переглядів 37 тис.4 роки тому
This is a step by step tutorial on a method for joining Chenille yarn in a way that is strong and nearly seamless. There are several methods out there. This is one option to try. Universal Yarns Bella Chenille Big was used for this video. I used this method when I crocheted my new pattern - Bella Squish Blanket
BRILLIANT. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. worked perfectly the first time. Thank you for this video!!!
Thank you. This really helped me
3 years late but this helped so much! I'm making a tree skirt with this yarn and you're the only one I found with a simple, seamless solution.
I started doing this because I didn't like burning or tying a knot. So I felt sewing was easier then the 2 other options. And does not matter color of thread because you can't see it. Glad to see not the only who had the same idea. ❤
I was struggling bad with my Chenille yarn for my blanket, and now I know how to tie it off without shedding the chenille (for next time, since I really don't wanna frog a whole blanket lol) I will most likely buy chunky chenille yarn and try another blanket!
This is awesome. I am definitely going to give this a try. Thank you😊
THANK YOU PURL
thank you so much
It would love to have it with different colour being attached. Great Idea tho’ ❤ Your Super . I knitting for more years than I can remember & never saw this before ! Do you do anymore Videos than what’s on your site? Would dearly love to see more ideas. Well Done ..
Hi there, I'm a knitter, but mostly an indie dyer. I post weekly on Instagram "tools of the trade Tuesdays" - I'm thinking about adding them here to UA-cam. I haven't done it yet though. Too many other things to do. Thanks for the complement.
Thank you so much!! I was able to do this method with the bernat yarn but the big twist was made too well so I couldn't get the yarn off I cut down with scissors and was able to do it 😊
Yeah - when I made this video - most chenille yarns were made with the core threads. In the last couple of years, they've developed other methods that don't work quite as well. I'm glad you were able to make it work.
Thank you so much for this video. It’s exactly what I wanted ❤
Love the way you joining yarn. This is the best and safe way to do it ❤❤❤
Love this thank you!
Brilliant,thank you for sharing ⭐️
You are a life saver……..I just had to frog a row of a #6 Super Bulky Yarn and some of the fluffy yarn was pulled off and left a bare gap…..so I cut out the damaged section and used your technique to rejoin the yarn…..it took me two tries to get the threads tied closely but I was finally successful!!!!! 👏🏻👏🏻 ty for this helpful video!! I was in the middle of a one color project……
thanks this was very helpful
Super helpful! Thank you!!
Genius!!!! Thanks!
Thank you for this, I knew there had to be a better way 🎉
Unfortunately, this didn't work on Bernat Blanket yarn. 😢
Pretty Darn rhymes with yarn. Thank you this helped me!
GENIUS!!!!!! Thank you!!!
Thanks for sharing this technique. With my yarn - Bernat Velvet - the core threads keep breaking off, no matter how gingerly I pull off the fluff. The yarn is probably 3 or 4 years old. I suppose the threads could have deteriorated. Since I'm making a scarf for myself, I'm going to just tie a knot. I only need one.
I have Bernat blanket yarn and when I tried to follow the directions in this video, it didn't work for mine either. The core threads seemed really stretchy and not at all stable. The core threads just kept on pulling through the Bernat yarn. 😢
Has any one sewed the ends to each other??
thank you!!!
THIS WOMAN DESERVES HUMANITARIAN AWARD SAVED US HUMANS 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽❤️
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I was nervous about using this yarn because of the joining. Now I'm ready to go 😂
Thanks so much for this tutorial! This helped me so much on my own velvet yarn project!
OMG YOU’RE A GENIUS!!! You’ll go down in history as the woman who tied a knot! Seriously though, THANK YOU for this!! Making a huge blanket with lots of joins in color and the regular old knot just wasn’t working for me. I’m so grateful you made this video!! 🙏🏼
Extremely helpful! Thank you!
Thank you!
genius
Thank you a gazillion times omg ❤❤❤❤❤
thats really creative thank you! It might be a little bit more time consuming but I find the end result is looking much better!
Love this….so simple & so much better than just knotting the full yarn! Thank you! 🤗
How do you stop the fluff from coming off when not joining?
amazing
Brilliant! Thank you so much ☺️
I'm having to fix a blanket because my yarn joins are unraveling.🤦♀ Glad I just made one blanket! Gonna fix this one and do my joins this way from now on. Thanks!
I really appreciate this video!!! Thanks!
This is genius! I wish I had found this before I wasted about a foot of my yarn😂
Thank you, great tutorial and worked a treat
I’ve just come across this video 2 years after it being posted. I’m crocheting a queen size blanket with velvet yarn and it’s been a nightmare to join in the new ball of yarn. Up to ball 6 with really no success! This technique is amazing. Thank you so much. You are very very clever!! Onward with the next 11 balls.
Omg!!thank you for this ,first time crocheting this kinda yarn so I try to tie it just like you said it didn’t look right ,so then I try to use glue😂🤦🏻♀️I freaking glue my fingers😂..I mean I use super glue😮😂😭
You have single handedly saved my project I was about to give up
this was so useful!!! thank you so much <3
