What about bearing to azimuth
Hi! How are you? I'm from Brazil and I graduated in topography(surveyor) from the army, which is where I've been working since 2015. Could you tell me what the job market is like there in New Mexico? Do we need any special license to work there or could I validate my diploma?
Nice!
thanks

Limbo! Took me a min too
In my late 20's i was a rodman, lathe scriber, BLM cap finder, rebar pounder and driver. I walked all over Arizona in 100 degree heat, rain showers, snowfall, fog and wind. Ive seen amazing sunsets, beautiful landscapes and some of the most unforgettable moments of pure awe of just adoring the outdoors. It was a job that is hard to explain, cause it wasnt about posting corners, grading roads, or setting layouts for construction...it was something im glad to have done in my life. Dont miss pounding a starbit deep enough into that 1 ton rock so i could set that 14 inch rebar.
@chunkybladwin3988 Thank you for sharing that! What year were you doing that work?
@@SmithSurveying before the real estate crash of '08. I worked out of Snowflake, went as far as Whittier Cali., south as far as Stafford, East to Albuquerque, north to the gravel mines of Las Vegas. After the market crashed I had to move on, I do miss working outside and am very glad I had that opportunity. If anyone is considering this work, I highly suggest you do. No one remembers that perfect time the grey carpet laid just right, or when the toner was crisp... but I hope I never forget watching the sun set on an ocean through the light rain as I sat atop a grassy hill, or the fog lifting just in time to see the sun plume through the dense clouds as snow gently fell and looking across nothing but red earth as I stood on a tall mound of sandstone looking north wondering if a mile trek in 100 degree heat was worth it.
Lol
Can we subtract with 270° to convert azimuth to bearing
If the true bearing of a line AB is 269° 30′, then the azimuth of the line AB is_____________? A. 0° 30′ B. 89° 30′ C. 90° 30′ D. 269° 30′

D. right..???

Finally found a video that can help me! Thanks!
Magnetic declination 10degree west Grid declination 5degree east magnetic bearing south 30degree east .please find grid bearing?
Please answer with graph photo
WOW This made me finally get it! thanks!
@@Enryu32 Good job! :]
Good video, I did a lot of seismic surveying out west setting out source points, and receiver points, Absolutely loved it. I got to do one heli-portable job in Parachute,Colorado in some of the gnarliest mountains in North America I believe. It was some of the scariest days of my life, but also some of the best days I’ve ever had something about pushing yourself to do things that’s out of your comfort zone is so rewarding. Also worked in Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and also in the north east part of the country When I finally moved back home, I got a job doing conventional surveying and started to really understand, surveying a lot more.
How many bears have you seen? Do you carry a pistol?
@frankostapowicz1981 While surveying I have seen 4. I carry two guns with me at all times 💪💪(dad joke)
could you explain why are the subtraction and addition needed? thank you.
The reference on the stone just blew my mind 🤯
It was a pleasure to get to know your work! A little jealous of the views you caught there:)
Best and easiest explanation ever
Thank you!
What boots are those, Sir?

The only thing I can gather. One of the first milestones. I think 🤔
Thank you for this ❤
I noticed the section monuments located with GPS had pine trees close. In NC my GPS lacks accuracy when pine trees are close. It never was a concern to the surveyor in the video? Why?
Also no bipod with opus readings? What’s the epoch count for these shots? A little confused, is he saying the base was established using OPUS or all current corners being shot? Remember I’m a NC/S FLA surveyor so what seems obvious in your territory isn’t here
That’s pretty awesome
What is the reason for being so low to the ground?
Scribing is put low because it can still be found as evidence after the tree is cut :]
Thanks❤
Love this!!!
Good looking work! Found some old mining claims this week in the Sierra running line. One had the original claim in the rock mound. Our new tree scribe came in but I haven’t had a chance to play with it yet, I’ll let you know how it goes.
Terrible how all those beautiful trees are gone
@@trueblue4069 they will be replaced :]
What does nature do when any one thing is in over abundance? Disease, pestilence, plague, and famine And when it comes to forests it ends in fires thus no one wins not us not the critters and not the health of trees
limbo
Easiest explanation ever 😊
Another good video ruined by stupid music
Try explaining something for people watching
Hey, I am looking into taking some surveying classes in KY. I have an environmental science degree with a focus area in GIS so I believe some of these classes will cross over, but my question is what is the job market like? I love being in the outdoors so I know this will be a great fit for me, but worried about finding a job after taking these classes. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. You work in some beautiful places.
There are lots of jobs! Idk specifically about in the KY area but over here in the Pacific Northwest you can get a job easy
I would keep your hands together and hold a little higher on the handle.
Thanks for the tip Davis 👍
Love to see that you're still at it! Keep it up (:
I hope you are having a great day Choconillaaa :)
Are you using the Great Lakes Timber Scribe? We use them in the sierras but not like that, I would appreciate more information on how you’re using that to scribe the trees.
Here is a link to the scribe I am using and I will make a Shorts video on how I use it next time I scribe a BT :) www.misterworker.com/en-us/gedore/timber-scriber-ox-80/58425.html?gmc_currency=3&SubmitCountry=US&gad_source=1
@@SmithSurveying that would be awesome, thanks. I’ll see about filming some of our work up here.

What is if Azimuth 90?
It’s just going to be 90 degree or east
Very Nice Review.
