    Fascinating!! I write insurance for Lafayette life insurance and I'm also a Prince Hall Mason. today I called Lafayette and ask them where's the history of why it's called Lafayette and who is that with the crown on and they said oh general Lafayette you can look him up. I looked him up and realized how proud I am of his sacrifices and the fact that he is a brother made me even prouder to write insurance for Lafayette life insurance. I write for other companies as well but I'm a history buff and it will definitely be a blessing for Lafayette as I will continue to write more for them just based on the historical significance. it definitely gives them the edge but I want to thank you for putting this video together I'm putting together the history in my own mind so I can understand more about it and it's very clear very straightforward I love what he's done and I don't know how I missed this in my history lessons but today has been a great day I'm really proud thank you for sharing brother!!!

      It is said that King George presented a Masonic Apron to Joseph Brant. However, the histories I have read made it clear he was not a Brother. However, they also said that many of his relatives were. As I don't have access to the records at the UGL, I can't confirm his status as a Brother either way. What is important though, is that Masonic philosophy was influential in the governance of both countries. While Americans view King George's British Empire as Tyrannical, this is a matter of degrees when compared to other European Countries where there was heavy religious persecution, etc. Clearly the Intolerable Acts moved the British Government away from a more Classically Liberal government and more towards a Tyrannical one, but this was in 1774, just prior to the break out of the real hostilities in 1775. Even after the passage of these, the loyalists here believed that they were fighting to preserve the Freedoms that the British Empire offered, which were much more liberal than the rest of Europe, as they thought the Patriot's cause would lead to chaos and anarchy. They were partially correct, as that is what happened later in France. We were blessed by amazing people running our young country.

Morgan's Rifles were probably the closest thing we had to the Queen's Rangers of Simcoe, Tarleton and Robert Rogers. They were definitely a critical unit, it is cool that you have a connection to this history in your family.

    Two more questions: 1) How come as school children here in the United States we never learned about him being a part of the Freemasons? I know I didn't. 2) Where did you hear that his family lost everything and became practically destitute? I don't think that's 100% true. There is actually one dwelling or one family structure in France that is still owned by downline descendants of his family. In addition, it's important enough to include in your video however one of the remaining family holdings is located in a region of France called Auvergn (??). His Life and legacy is very much celebrated in that part of France.

      Lafayette was imprisoned during the height of the French Revolution and at that time, his property and assets where seized by the Revolution. Later in his life and I believe with the help of Napoleon Bonaparte he was able to get some back. As far as the Masonic history being taught in schools, I have no idea why it isn't However, there were many Masonic Brothers involved in the Revolution and this is easily verifiable. Thank you for watching and commenting.

    Just now stumbling upon your video and your channel for the very first time. Very interesting video, indeed. I definitely learned a lot. It is unfortunate that all of us growing up here in the United States never heard much if anything about this side of General Lafayette's overall biographical history. Question though however unlike the Masons per se.....is the Freemason group supposed to be what the Knights Templar morphed into when they could no longer exist being known as the Knights Templar? Sorry to sound so naive I know nothing of the Freemasons and no one in my family has ever been one.

      The true origins of Freemasonry are lost to time. The Fraternity came out into public in the early 18th Century. The earliest documentation is the Regis Manuscript or Poem. Just Google that and you can research more.

      I noticed that you bore false witness against Freemasonry in other comments. If you continue on to Proverbs 6:17 it states: "A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood" Need I remind you that one of God's commandments is to not bear false witness against your neighbor, so you are in fact sinning when you lie. I can't blame you, as you have been fed a whole bunch of nonsense about this great Fraternity. All I can do is to urge you to delve deep into what Freemasonry is and judge individual Masonic Brothers by their actions. You can start with the series of videos this one is a part of, as we talk an awful lot about Masonic Brothers in the American Revolution. And remember what is said in Mathew 7:15-20. 15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them. In short, and as I believe these words apply to this conversation, judge a man by his actions, not his words. Freemasonry gives over a million dollars a day to charities throughout the world and not just Shriner's Hospitals. We are here to make life better, not worship some anti-God. And lastly, my comments are mine and mine alone. I do not speak for Freemasonry, Huguenot Lodge or any Masonic Body. I speak for myself as a Masonic Brother who loves God, this country and this great Fraternity.

      @@Huguenot-46 The Bible encourages living in the light and being transparent. "For nothing is hidden that will not be disclosed, nor is anything secret that will not become known and come to light" (Luke 8:17). Jesus' Teaching on Oaths: Jesus teaches against swearing oaths, emphasizing the importance of straightforward honesty. "But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God's throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. All you need to say is simply 'Yes' or 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one" (Matthew 5:34-37). Freemasonry often teaches that all religions are valid pathways to the divine, which contradicts the Christian doctrine that Jesus Christ is the only way to God (John 14:6). The use of esoteric symbols and rituals might be perceived as occult practices, which are condemned in the Bible (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). The Bible warns against the worship of other gods and practices that might imply all religions are equally valid. "You shall have no other gods before me" (Exodus 20:3). Jesus warns against serving two masters. "No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other" (Matthew 6:24).

      @gabesmith654 Wrong. Masons did not start the war. It may have been some men who were Masons, but it was done in their own right...not AS Masons. We never killed JFK. Why would we? What would be the point? He wasn't against Masonry at all. His VP and the DG of the FBI were Masons. If he was against Freemasonry, he'd never have had those guys in post. We aren't attacking Trump, either. Freemasons distance themselves from politics, because we have members from all parts of the political spectrum. You're just a bit of a dick, aren't you?

    The Haitian revolution was also led by a Mason. And you really can't deny the American revolution was both started by a Mason and the army was led by a Mason. 3 liberal revolution back to back led by mason's claiming "liberty, fraternity and equality' to be their slogan. Then the statue of liberty made by masons, and funded by masons. You can't tell me it's coincidence. Even Liberia which was a project to free the slaves and give them their own state. That endeavor was heavily supported by masons and masons led Liberia in the beginning. Liberia named after "liberty"

    • @Huguenot-46

      I suggest you watch ALL the videos in their entirety, as the Statue of Liberty is mentioned.

  • @McCarthy1776
    @McCarthy1776 6 місяців тому

    Its an undisputed objective fact that freemasons started the revolution. The sons of liberty most certainlt started the revolution and it was a masonic creation.

    • @Huguenot-46
      @Huguenot-46 6 місяців тому

      Then I suggest you watch all our videos. The evidence is clear. There were Masonic Brothers on both sides of the American Revolution and they fought against each other in battles to the death, surrender or retreat. There was NOT a conspiracy by the Freemasons to overthrow a government. Moreover, the Sons of Liberty had many members who were NOT Freemasons. Yes, absolutely there were many Masonic brothers who were involved in the American Revolution. There were also Calvinists, Catholics, Anglicans and Jews. That doesn't mean the Catholics organized the American Revolution. It doesn't mean the Anglicans, Calvinists or Jews organized the American Revolution. Freemasonry teaches eternal truths and encourages men to be the best they can be. The Masonic brothers involved in the American Revolution most certainly were influenced by Masonic Philosophy and the same infused the country's foundational documents and foundation itself. That does not equate to the Freemasons plotting to overthrow the government and start a revolution. There is a world of difference between the two and pointing this out, does not equate to a lack of love for freedom, equality and brotherhood. I have removed your other comments, as they were redundant.

  • @McCarthy1776
    @McCarthy1776 6 місяців тому

    Vs? The Sons of Liberty was started by the freemasons. That's not a conspiracy theory. It's public knowledge that most of the leadership of the Sons of liberty were masons at the Boston lodge that would hang out at the Green Dragon tavern. Masonic ideals go well with liberalism. George Washington was also a Mason, and 9 Masons signed the declaration of independence. The statue of liberty was also financed, designed and built by masons. None of this is a theory, none of this is disputed. The freemasons were involved in multiple classical liberal Revolutions. They may have even been loosely involved in the pirate Republic of Nassau.

    • @Huguenot-46
      @Huguenot-46 6 місяців тому

      The Sons of Liberty date back further than the group formed in Boston at the Green Dragon Tavern. They were also a group spread throughout the colonies, not just in Boston. They also most likely originated in New York and in New York, they initially supported the DeLancey side of the political equation, which would become the Loyalists fighting for the Crown. I recommend you read this book www.cornellpress.cornell.edu/book/9781501769108/unfriendly-to-liberty/#bookTabs=1. To say that the loyalists Masonic brothers were "traitors" is not a fair examination of the times. Things were far more complex than a cursory examination of the two sides allows. I am doing my best here to present historical facts in as comprehensive manner as possible given my knowledge and the medium used. More importantly, as the filmmaker here, my comments in here and on the videos are STRICTLY my interpretation and analysis of what I have learned. They are in no way a portrayal of my political views, the political views of my lodge brothers and certainly not any form of official political position of the lodge, the Grand Lodge or Freemasons anywhere. In fact, Masonic brothers are forbidden to discuss politics or religion in lodge, as they can be a divisive subject. Lastly, I encourage you to watch all the videos to get a complete picture of what is being presented. The American Revolution was far more complex a topic than anything ever presented in such venues as The History Channel, as was Freemasonry at the time. We are coming up on the 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution and we should seek to remember exactly why our nation was founded, who founded it and why. We were blessed by the actions of these people and the actions they took were far more dangerous, radical and innovative than most realize.

      Thank you so much for the comments brother. That is one book I have not read. I have read multiple books on the revolution one of my favorites is Unfriendly to Liberty by Christopher Minty, It mainly chronicles the politics between the Delanceys and Livingstons leading up to the war. There is just too much to read, lol. As for my research, I can't say enough how helpful the Grand Historian in New York has been. The work he has done is truly amazing and a bit awe inspiring. For instance, he has listed every Masonic Brother who served on both sides he could identify and gave their lodge affiliation, rank, etc. Every grand lodge should be so lucky to have someone like him on the job.

    Very interesting video. Primary schoos, and colleges, have failed.in teaching.students how important each man was to the American Revolutionary War. I knew the French were extremelly important in our cause, however, today’s classes “gloss over” their contributions, or ignore them completely. As a former Rainbow Girl, servicee projects, honestly, morals, etc, were expected of us. In our assembly, we worked side-by-side every Christmas Season helping Scottish Rites pass-out Christmas presents to children who were patients of Scottish Rites Hospitals. I saw nothing, but good. I guess the public doesn’t understand Scottish Rite hospitals give free care to children w/ physical disabiliies, and provide free transportation for the child and family. Never got the chance to be an Eastern Star, as my dad was not a Mason. Since less Masons exist, this country has gone downhill considerably. Politicians in D.C. only care about agendas, special interests, lying, cheating, not caring for the American Population, corruption etc: Very sad and frustrating. Instead, they attend Bohemian Grove: An immoral “adult” summer camp, where disturbing activities occur. Makes sense why our country, founded by thoughtful, intelligent men, are a minority today. Again, great, informative video.
