That looks like an amazing trip. I have taken a group up there every September for the last 15 years, so usually only get coho and some smaller halibut. Do you mind sharing where you rented your boat? DIY rental boats are becoming harder and harder to find.

I worked on this boat in highschool, as well as a few out of H&M landing. This video brought back some great memories. So grateful to have had this job vs being at a restaurant or paperboy, or whatever. Best years of my life. Great video bro!

It's great that you caught fish! As you gain experience or watch others' videos, you'll notice that when jigging at night, most anglers are using as a minimum 85lb braid and 80lb monofilament. (Depth marked) It allows you to use 25-27 lbs of drag, greatly reducing your time fighting your fish.

If you don't eat the 'but cheecks you are so missing out on the absolute best part of the fish.
