Hi, great demo! I'm not sure if you say it in the video, but does the time division knob work on both manual and tap mode? Thank you!
Hey Chris! I actually just took the pedal off my board but I’m pretty sure it does!
Can you do "red daisy" by billy strings. Thanks.
Nicely Done.
Shredding
you show those modes who's boss
Good job, bro.
Thanks!
Great work!!~
Thank you sir!
Yes! I'm stealing some of these licks for sure!
Steal away! Happy to answer any questions homie
CHUNK <3 :)
Chunk chunk chunk
Surprised that made in China junk sounds as good as it does. It’s because you play very well, get yourself a Martin and you will really turn heads.
Great vid, I'd love to see a pedal board tour
Ask and you shall receive! ua-cam.com/video/Ui0SvbCZghk/v-deo.htmlsi=wx6tk4wyckQ60n5g
Thank you for breaking down the scales slowly, it's tough to find a lesson on this that's attainable for my level.
Cheers Dan, glad it made sense for you!
"promosm" 😚
Robertson was a genius
Yup, killer writer and guitar player. Lots of folks are downstream of stuff he did 50-60 years ago and aren’t doing it nearly as well.
Excellent playing man
Thank you!

I remember you exposing me to Dream Theater and Steve Vai…mind was blown…still is.
Yup I was way into that stuff back then!
Beautiful job Amigo! Love, love, love this Jobim track!
Nice!
Thanks for trying, but you talk way too much... Good luck dude:)
thankyou man! i actually can play it now!
Ayyyyy cheers!
Nice arrangement and well played!
Thanks Dave!
Love the guitar!!! I have a Takamine too. What model is it?
Thanks!! I believe it’s the EF341SC. Takamine acoustics are my favorite.
Go to 1.20
I like! I’ll use a couple of those collapsible chords as the song carries on to break up the monotony! Nice..
Yeah this song can be very monotonous! Gotta spice it up, especially if you’re the only instrument on stage.
Very good lesson! Wish I understood more of the theory you were talking about, but you still made it helpful even though I do not. I gladly subscribed.
Thanks for subscribing! Maybe one day I’ll do a video about how I think about theory.
Bello. Gracias. Outstanding 💯💯♥️‼️❤️🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷✝️🙏DIOS TE BENDIGA ‼️‼️‼️‼️🙏
Gracias!
this was really well explained :)
Tip. Camera should be even or above you ...that way your not looking down on audience. Just saying
Production value on a UA-cam video? In this economy? JK thanks for the tip, hope the stuff in it was useful minus the angle!
Tip. The words “your” and “you’re” have different meanings. “Your” is a possessive adjective. It is always followed by a noun in a sentence. “You’re” is a contraction of the two words, “you” and “are”. Learn the proper use of each, that way “you’re” (you are) not looking stupid to your audience. Just saying.
Well it sounds great, but I've got some questions. s the stereo delay kill-dry? With stereo delay active, will I get any sound at all if delay 2 is off? Will I get just repeat a or repeats with the dry on amp#2 if it's on? Can I use an expression pedal to turn on the repeats with this? If I do, can I still use the external tap tempo option? Thanks!!
Hey Rob! I’ve never run this in stereo or with an expression pedal so I’m afraid I’m not much help there. I’d try to track down a pdf of the instruction manual and hopefully that has answers to some of those more technical questions.
So easy. Thanks.
No problem nick!
Nice one! Thanks so much for that,
Cheers Owen!
can you please do a guitar lesson on Billy Strings playing man of constant sorrow? the one where he's in a music store.
No More Tears! Good stuff man. Thanks for this demo. May get this. Awesome stuff.
Aston thank you homie!
Which Takamine is that? 👍
Thank you Colin! That was very well done!
Thank you!
Thank you!
Ralph Stanley too
I’ll take your word for it, I know the name but I’m not super familiar with his material!
I only understand tab and I couldn’t understand
I may be able to whip up a tab in the next day or so but in the mean time feel free to just check out sections of it at a time
@@colinpoulton thanks bro Subbed
Finally a description of this bluegrass scale. I think I understand it better now. Those half steps can be tricky when you are use to playing classic rock all the time.
Hopefully the association with the blues scale helped it make sense. What I like about adding chromatic notes to the pentatonic scale (or any scale really) is that it displaces the rhythm of your line and you tend to land in a different spot once the lick is done. Fun stuff!
Good stuff man
Thanks Josh!
At last , a clear lesson on the kick off to Dust in a Baggie , thank you for this. Cheers from Mont Tremblant ,Quebec
Cheers from Nashville, Neil! I’m open for suggestions if you’d like to see something else covered.
Thanks Colin! Nice and concise lesson really enjoyed it. Just saw Billy Strings here in DC, was amazing!
Jack thank you! Glad you enjoyed the lesson and super jealous you got to check out Billy! Would love to hear if there’s anything else you’d like to see on this channel.
Nice
Thanks Joseph!
Great video man, thanks for doing that. I've had this pedal for almost 10 years and just still really can't seem to get full use out of it. I think I'm missing out on a big opportunity for a good effect
Thanks man! For me I like having two different delay sounds ready to go at all times. That’s all I really need and it works for me! Lately I have the left side on a Gilmour-esque analog delay and the right side with a quarter note tap tempo thing.
Can u share the settings please ? I dont have the nux so i want settings
Woowww great Job...more please
Thanks!
This is a really underrated delay. The repeats sound so good - who needs all the bells and whistles of a Timeline or Nemesis, I'd rather this and a good analog delay = done!
Yeah Matt this is a great unit! Straight forward and simple to use. I might get a reverb pedal for slapback to leave one side ready to go for noisy shit at all times lol
Yeah dude, absolutely! I do a lot of that sort of thing - wet/dry or wet/wetter with a dedicated reverb or tremolo on one side, delay (s) to both. My favorite analog delay is the Maxon AD9 Pro - only 330ms max delay time *but* it's a very well-made bbd delay with dark, chewy repeats and a great "Dual" mode which simulates a Binson Echorec multiple heads thing. I set it quite short, like a slapback, flip the switch to the dual mode - and my Reverb pedal is in danger of going into the bin lol! I'm JK but you get the idea :) The old JHS Panther is another great one but like the Visual Sound, it's huge! I need a separate pedalboard just for those two pedals + my Tremolo 😁 Cheers!
@@colinpoulton What amp were you using in this video? Sounded extremely good
@@mattgilbert7347 man thank you! This was with my Mesa DC-5. It’s an early 90’s combo that I’ve been super happy with.
@@colinpoulton awesome! Yeah i can hear the characteristics of a Mesa in the clean tone :) Cheers mate
Bro. Thats was really great. A Few bends tickled my spine like the original. So chromatic, free, and bendy.
yo thank you joey!
great attempt but it's not as flued as Jerry's. & you're missing a little on the bends. if you listen to the solo more I think you'll get it -13
Awesome job! Looks like Jerry was all over the neck in like 10 notes crazy (~};
Dead Head sometimes you hear a lick and you know it’s one you gotta get under your fingers. Thanks for watching!
