I heard a theory, and thus believe, the Ancient Hero was a 'Lomei'. The name given to the mazes, distinct from the Zonai, and native to depths, as each species is native to a region, like the Zonai leaving much behind in Faron.

I haven’t seen anyone suggest that is links transformation through the zonai blessings that you collect at the shrines. Why doesn’t anyone consider Rauru is already in that said form? We watched Gannondorf get his hands on Sonia stone and immediately transform into his more draconian form the Demon king. I think he’s safe to assume that once you reach a point with the secret stones you can transform “amplify” your natural state without losing yourself like the rushed style of just infesting the stone.

This game is easily in my top 3 of games, 1 received it on day one thanks to preorders and for more of 1 year I avoided any spoilers about the end just like Link is supposed to dodge everything, but, in my attempt to share the same core memories I got when I was a child and played OoT, one of my 3 kids accidentally played this video. So, my little girl who claims to be Zelda was crying because she thought she did something wrong. I have never been more happy for someone to spoil something for me. Thanks to you for arranging this video, it’s my daughter’s favorite along with me. My 2 kids are more into Zelda + Link action AMV but this one is special.

I just find it odd that there was one "Link" that wasn't Hylian or at least mostly Hylian. It seemed clear to me that the Spirit of the Hero is a reincarnation of the Skyward Sword Link. Sure, I guess there is no reason why the spirit couldn't be reborn in a Zonai body or whatever, but it does seem a little odd that it only happened this one time.

I think the answer lies on the stone on his forehead.. Real Zonai like Rauru and Mineru both have a third eye in their forehead but this ancient hero has a stone, something like Ganon himself after gently "acquiring" his and changing his physical form.. So I think this ancient hero might have been a Link (a hylian) that was granted a secret stone or some similar magical item along with his zonaite armor in order to fight the Calamity thus explaining why his armor matches the zonaite set and his physical appearance looks a mix of hylian and zonai attributes

Has anyone mentioned the likelihood that the mural actually depicts the original Imprisoning of Demise by the goddess Hylia herself, and that her chosen champion mentioned in SS was this Zonai? The demon king himself says very clearly and with great amusement that no Hylian has ever dared to stand against him (but we know he fought Hylia's champion). The OG Link wasn't Hylian, and his reaction proves it. SS's Link is the first Hylian with the spirit of the hero. If you make an argument against that with the mural, you're making the assumption that the mural's maker is correct about all of the details--and more correct than Hylia and the OG demon king. With as little as Rauru and Mineru know about their own people, we can't be certain that they are 100% accurate in their lore or understanding either. It would be like me trying to explain my ancestors' part in the events leading up to and including the Battle of Hastings, and then making a memorial depicting that understanding. I could easily mix up many of the facts. I'm honestly not sold that they're the first king and queen of the kingdom of Hyrule for this reason, and I'm withholding my judgement on that until Nintendo updates the timeline. Just to clarify, here's the difference as I see it: Hylia + OG Hero and Demise are the direct participants. Everybody reading a history book is getting their information second-hand at best.

Due to the fact that the skin color of the ancient hero is mostly green, I think that if Link's tunic is green it is to pay tribute to the ancient hero who was the first to fight and successfully repelled the evil from Hyrule.

The candle lit during that wellness session belonged to Gemma/Ms Casey. Cobel stole the candle from marks house and insisted on the wellness session after it was in her possession in order to test a theory. Scents evoke emotions and memories which is probably what made mark sculpt the tree during that session.

I think the ancient heroes look is actually the result of a hylian and and zonai procreating and eventually after like half zonai half hylians started to have children with more hylians the zonai race kind of died out and that’s why the race doesn’t exist now and it’s just hylians so I think the ancient hero can still be the same bloodline as all the other heroes just evolved from half zonai half hylians

I'll never forgive nintendo for ruining the story and the lore of this franchise cause they were too lazy to write something to answer the questions

My theory is that this ancient hero is a normal Hylian that had the ability to transform into that Zonai like appearance. In many Legend of Zelda games, Links have been able to transform between different states like in Ocraina of Time, Link transforms between time, Minish Cap Link transforms into small and regular size and Twilight Link transforms between Hylian and Wolf. This ancient hero probably transforms between Hylian and Zonai to accomplish different tasks.

I can't help but think there's a connection between the Aspect and the dragons. The eyes of the Aspect and the Light Dragon move in the same way.

My assumption about the ancient hero’s aspect is that he’s a Hylian-Zonai hybrid. After all, if Sonia and Raru wed and had children (which they must have had since it’s heavily implied that they are Zelda’s ancestors), then probably there were other Zonai-Hylian couples. Perhaps that’s the blood origin of the Hylian knights to begin with, only by the time we meet Link and Zelda, the Zonai qualities are no longer outwardly apparent.

Rather have a gerudo Link, this is awful addition to lore.

The thing I think people get wrong is that they are trying to establish some kind of coherent lore or history for these games. I think there is no such intention from the writers. I think it’s intentionally a mash of loose and loosely connected myths and legends. No one really knows what happened - except for during the time Zelda actually went back to. And there’s no “true history” to be uncovered, because Nintendo has no intention for there to be one.

The most interesting thing about the Ancient Hero is far and away the fact he ISN'T LINK. Meaning someone other than Link could and did beat Ganon.

I know life is hard and unbearable at times. I've lived through many things most people wouldn't believe. But life is full of seasons of change and this too shall pass. I know this might sound strange to some, but we are designed to be in community with others. Only in these later days have societies been estranged to become so isolated by design as well as pricing people out of living. Never the less, if you have never called out to God The Creator and Giver of Life? Now might be a good time. I'm not talking about being religious or anything. I'm saying that we didn't just form from nothing happening to nothing for no reason. It's completely logical to believe that we were created on purpose. And since this is the case, It seems as good as time as any to call out to this very powerful creator and see if your life doesn't warrant a response. I could also recommend searching for a chat or forum that is God centered in so that you can find a little bit of community that would be able to help guide you in your circumstances and be able to answer any questions or concerns that you might have along the way. What’s also interesting about the Hero’s aspect is that it’s green with no blue as depicted in the Antient Calamity tapestry, could be in relation to the traditional green tunic of Link? Another video that I watched, had theory that maybe in some way the Gerudo, if not Ganondorf may have connections with this ancient hero, because of the read hair, the jewel on the forehead and accompanied Gerudo like jewellery. I honestly think that initially for BOTW the ancient hero was Link as through all the ages and then changed it up for TOTK. Maybe there will be a third instalment with more lore behind it or maybe that’s it for this story?
