Derby Day | Maine Yak Anglers - 2v2 Bracket Round 2
In June, Nick Brooks and I fished round two of the maniac anglers 2V2 bracket tournament. Chris and Brian gave us three lakes to choose from, and we picked ring ponds in Poland. I had never been, but thankfully, Nick had. I had a good day on the water and caught lots of fish, but in the end, our top five all came from Nick.we can’t wait for round three!

I have a couple days to get out and fish the Maine Yak Anglers May Monthly Online Tournament, sponsored by Shaker Hill Outdoors. The people that own those houses only use them in July and August and they can afford the repairs. I care more about Fishermen and Locals.

I will always take this over heat, venomous animals, alligators, Florida people, wildfires, earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, oil spills, etc.
Spiders snakes hurricanes and tornadoes keep me for sure. Also our outdoor opportunities on clear water and in the mountains.

My family is going on a cruise in May. How long did you guys go out for?
We did a 7 day cruise out of Seattle. The Ketchikan stop was only 5 hours I think. We were first off the ship and near the last back on. Charter was four hours and left from the docks right next to the ship
Hi there from Tasmania, Australia. I have recently purchased my first GoPro, so great suggestions for building a kit. Do you do much swimming, underwater filming (I would love to know what you use)?
We do water parks, rivers, beach, bodyboarding and I just use the stock camera mounted to the small tripod you get in the kit. I will be getting a dome mount for better surface and snorkel footage, though. For body surfing or hands one water activity I would recommend the mouth mount. Seems silly but the footage is better! Good luck
Good stuff. Just got a pdl.. haven't fished in years but getting back into it. Trying a couple online tourneys to get my feet wet. Not sure we have the big bass here like southern Maine. My goal is just not last :) build from there. Subed to maybe learn something. White fluke is my favorite here so far
In my opinion the online derbies are good to practice submitting fish and taking pictures, but in person is where you share ideas, meet people, and have the most fun. And everyone is fishing the same water at the same time.

damn that’s the biggest fish I’ve ever seen
My parents used to own the camp in the middle of the cove down there. The hole you guys had a whitefish on is roughly where I’ve pulled some big bass through the ice. Used to pull some nice togue out from around where you’re fishing as well before the size got smaller and the fish became more abundant.
Interesting. Did you parents just sell last year? I think our road commissioner used to live near there…. Yes that drop off has great bass during open water, we stop there regularly. There is a rocky ridge that runs along some of where we were that keeps fishing pretty steady.
@@Theoutdoorcats I think they sold it like 3 years ago now? My dad was the treasurer for the road committee when they sold. They still actually live on the lake, just the opposite end now. Used to fish around there pretty hard as a kid between open water and ice.

Those boats up close in the shot on the shore look at least 10 to 20 years old judging by the outboards.
dudes with 80000 boats will need to have their hull redone in a few years if they keep doing that. Not sure what your point is. The guy is taking care of his boat while the other idiots don't care because they have too much money to throw away.
