I have been struggling with applying pressure with Vira, these are some very useful tips, thanks! I'm just wondering if these still work after the recent patch, if you or anyone here knows please let me know!
I really wanna learn Vira, I want to show people my Yandere Fury.
OMG... MORE... WE NEED MORE of such guides... I was baffled. Your Guids ar simple and EASY to understand. Now I know how to Training Mode and this Video just opened LEGIT my Eyes! I see my mistake now!
chop chop it's been 7 months make this intermediate video
just started this game last week. instantly started with Yuel and loved her rush down, then saw her stance change and instantly loved the variety this character seemed to have.
Why do you refer to light attacks as P? Just got the game the other day so I don't know the lingo yet.
Best girl zeta
"Narmaya draws a lot of people" yea go blame pixiv after i bought the game i told my friend i'll learn whoever has the most art numbers on pixiv and it was Narmaya so i'm now here
This is helpful, thanks for all this info. I’ve been really struggling with this game. I seem to get frustrated a lot compared to ggst and sf6.
Forward cross-evade, if timed early, can land you on other side of enemy and positive frames. But most times - it will be red or yellow.Escape variant when cornered. Some character skills and uniques, like counters/armour work well vs 66L. Dashing into Vaseraga`a charged Soul Forge will probably cost you up to 70% of hp.
Best Zeta guide I’ve found for pure fighting game beginners! Ty
You are a godsend for beginner players. Ty for the guide and enjoy the sub!
What under night song is in the background
This video is super useful ! Thank you very much !❤ But as a super beginner I can’t replicate even the easy combo 🥲 it’s like I press the same buttons but it doesn’t do the same moves 😭
- In case your DP is on cooldown Isn't your med DP still invincible? Why not just use that?
Spacing and good a neutral in general are the best defense against dash L. A good read and a decent range on one of your poke should be enough to discourage Dash light spam. Also guard counter if it come to that. Dash L is an important part of this game for sure ,but you should not loose because of this only. I use to be bully by this until i started working more seriously on my fundamentals.I do not fear 66L pressure anymore
Maybe it’s just my experience but so far, I haven’t been playing 66L simulator like the rest of everybody else. I’ve been stuck playing 2U/M simulator lol. Not complaining tho.
Another good guide. I mained Soriz in the previous game, & got to B rank. I've done training for many games, & did Situational Training for this one so far (still have more). Combos I get are from trials and/or vids. Sounds useful not focusing too much on them. With so many moves & characters, it can be tough to know what to focus on & how to deal w/them. 🙂Fun vid.
Good info. Hope to start vs soon. I watch good players on UA-cam during the week til I can get to the console (when possible). Knowing when & why to use certain moves sounds useful. So many matchups is tricky, but I try to watch the most useful ones. Nice vid.
Good info. Thanks. First vid I've watched of yours. I haven't tried vs yet, but have been watching vids for a while in hopes of being ready. Enjoyed the previous game & many others. Nice vid.
Literally 66L is such a broken mechanic 😂
So 66L is a shitty version of super dash. Arc system works balancing at the best it can be, always.
someone please tell me the SONGS used for this video. I'm mainly looking for the being song for the intro section of the video.
Hey 50% ex lighting is a unblockable. You can throw that shit out whenever and it has saved me so many times from grabs
as a very beginner fighting game player who chose cags as my main i am lowkey memorizing this guide
So with this guide included, what would you consider a recommended button layout for a new player to Granblue rising?
I need a guide to get to master, can’t get past S++
I was so frustrated in losing and that video make me feel more better, thank you!
Really needed this. Coming from accent core im kinda struggling with how slower paced the game is, so a basic rundown how the neutral is played is super helpful
Idk if you meant full invincibility when you mentioned EX DP, but just to be sure, I want to point out it is, in fact, NOT full invincibility. Only head invicibilty, meaning it will easily go through aerial attacks but will lose to anything the opponent throws on your wakeup.
I'm still struggling with H mist finer into jH crescent moon. I've tried both traditional and simple inputs and it still doesn't work. When I press U after H mist finer then I try to do the jH crescent moon I end up do the H rapid slash instead. Can you give me some tips on how to do it? Thanks. I'm using a leverless controller btw
personally, after H mist, I hold up+back to do crescent moon, as it puts you forward anyway
Ty for the reupload!
One thing you missed is that any light, including 66L, has a built in ‘dash cooldown’ so despite the frame counter, you can’t safely 5L into 66L because it forces you to wait to start the dash & it will always be interruptable with a jab
To add to this, the cooldown lasts exactly until the defender is actionable after blocking, so you have one frame to wait on +1 fL and four frames on a +4 cL. This is one of the reasons Gran's 2M is a strong button. It's +1, but it has no dash lockout as it is not a Light normal, so it can clash a 6-frame fL best and frametrap anything else at worst.
I hope they lower overall damage. I don’t know if it’s to many combo options. And yes it sort of hard to land a hit and start up a combo. Specially because there no overhead but if can land a hit. This is kind of a 2 touch game. At less add a combo breaker
Thanks for the video! Using this stance effectively is definitely something I struggle with, and I look forward to trying out some of the ideas presented here. One thing about the video, though, you switch between GBVS notation (LMHU) and GG notation (PKSHD) a lot during the video. As someone who plays both games, I didn't really have an issue figuring out what you were saying, but someone who hasn't played GG might. I absolutely get having those different notations crossed up in your head, I probably do it a lot without realizing it, but taking the time to get them uncrossed (at least just for making videos) might help these videos reach more people.
So I’m not sure why you thought 2h was air blockable but just a heads up. All grounded normals are air unblockable and 2h is designed to be most characters universal anti air as a result. This is also how characters like Zooey can make un lockable setups if she uses her dragon to for you to air block a move then follow up with a normal attack before you land.
@@SemiQuest this is simply false. the ai will still get hit because again grounded normals are unblockable. if you use a special move or an air move then the ai will block it. but neither using the block button nor setting the ai to block all will result in them blocking 2h for any character.
Can't say a creator deleting their own comment when they're wrong is a good look. I can't reccomend this sort of creator to anyone.
If someone dashes into you just grab them. Grabs are 4 frames for a reason.
Thanks for the advice, I agree vod review is the way to go especially of better players. Also Zoey’s DP isn’t invincible on startup hence why he’s using the Ultimate version, as opposed to heavy. Zoey’s lightning doesn’t yield a safe jump he jumped to bait Guard Cancel if the Cagliostro has blocked they’d be able to reversal or anti-air. Hope this is useful
I felt like this was a really good guide on 66L offense I know the intent was to help with defense, but it was nice to see the options post-66L laid out so well
top tier or not, she is 10 times fun to play against rather than seox, lance or Nier hell even Belz, and Bellial are such a pain in the a**, she has big dmg, good combos but I do not think she is cheap.
unrelated but what ost is that
Pretty sure I just used a bunch of UNI music
@@SemiQuest sorry for pestering about this but is that like an artist or a game? nothing concrete really comes up when i google it, since its a pretty common word. i especially really like the music you used in the super beginner section

I’m about 11hrs into the game and struggling with getting halfway through the first combo you showed at the end. I think this guide showed me pivotal: this game’s fast. Like, really fast. Relative to my time playing strive, I have to play at a whole new, currently very uncomfortable speed to make these strings even possible. How do you get used to the speed?
Main thing is definitely to slow down first then once you get used to dealing with things slowly start going faster. Also that combo at the end is pretty optimal so I recommend just doing easier combos that you can land and get used to playing the game. As you improve your ability to input things naturally gets better and you will get the combo easy.
@@SemiQuest thanks, man. As a pianist, I should’ve known to take things slow, buy I also have a habit of rushing these things, so I was getting pretty discouraged. I really appreciate your advice!
im like 8 hours into the game and have lost all the ranked matches i played lol (my first fighting game)
new to fg and this is my first fg. i like your approach in your guide in telling people the basic instead of guide = learn 10000 hit combo right away from second 0
Hope It helps

I really want to play her but I can't even get the SSBA combo in training mode
Just do what you can and adjust your combos for your skill level. Don't worry about the hard stuff yet!
My fellow Narmaya beginners. I have a success story to share. I faced off against a Belial that definitely knew the game better than i did. I got nearly perfected the first round. I was overwhelmed, this dude had his combos down and everything, and i don't know his moveset or how he kept getting these big combos started. Before round 2, i took a moment to reflect on the loss, and realized he was getting big combos off of jumping in. I started keeping my distance and poking with standing medium into the long range special, and then when he would jump in i would DP him! It actually worked really well!! That with some dash light -> autocombo vs grab mix ups i took the round! I then got beat the third round and lost the game. but practicing spacing and anti airs really does work wonders!!!! I made him work harder that third round compared to the first. I think the appropriate mindset for us beginners is to play to improve rather than play to win, and in that mindset, that game was a big W. Im super hyped to continue improving!
Sorry guys, been busy. Still working on guides will be out as fast as I can make them. IMPORTANT info in description so please check out. Any and ALL support helps a TON! Questions, comments, feedback all welcome.
Real talk? I hate that Nier is unironically the character i'm having the most fun with, her aesthetics (death in particular) is just perfectly my vibe... the nerfs will hurt, but I will probably still main her.
Thats how it should be. I just want you to be careful and understand that you may need to relearn her a bit after nerfs. Depending on what they change.
