First of all, your wrong plenty of people post about being happy with their printers especially Bambu. Second of all the most problems people have is due to simply not washing the build plate cause Bambu printers just work. I think your just saying stuff you know is wrong for the comments activity. That’s not to say it’s messed up what Bambu is doing but you didn’t actually state any facts just speculated and compared Bambu to doing what hp did when you know that’s not what they are doing smart guy. Hows that open source rfid tag… oh right Creality is locking it down for “security reasons” so no more custom rfid tag. How do you like that K2plus color long unicorn nozzle? Oh yeah it takes double the waste due to attempting to purge the filament and still gives spotty black in your whites. The K2plus is the only printer creality has that is getting close to Bambu but its not there yet. Maybe the K3plus they’ll ditch the unicorn. Nice try saying Bambu is going to be a filament subscription model and locking out the ability to choose your filament. That’s not what is happening. I like a printer that just works perfectly all the time and that is Bambu especially with the new supertac plate. No adheasion problems ever! I rather have that then an open source printer that is a pain in the but. I’ve researched creaility and the Prusa XL. I know people who bought the 5 heads version and have tons of problems. I can’t believe Bambu is the only one that makes a near flawless printer but that is the truth. They have proven to last for thousands of hours. Most print farms have them for a reason. It’s unbelievable that Prusa cannot make a better printer.

Cool then keep buying Bambu. Idc really. Just stating my opinion here. If you enjoy it then you should stay with them. I wasn’t trying to convince you to leave if you’re happy. At this point I really don't think there's anyway for Bambu to walk this back. The "fanboyz" will always defend them to the end, that's sorta their job. However, this is more about new 3D printer buyers and the message they receive about printers. "Word of mouth" and UA-cam are VERY powerful message tools that Bambu has very little control over, and as this message starts to spread I just can't see this ending well for Bambu especially with a supposed "new machine" releasing later this year. From my point of view I wont be purchasing anymore machines from them, I already own one P1S and once it's done I'm out and will move along to a most likely Prusa machine. Whoever on the Bambu team thought this mess up needs to be fired as they more or less did this company in.

I am a HUGE Creality fan, and my first printer was the original Ender 3. I had so many problems with it, but with those problems, I gained so much experience, which I am super thankful for. I bought an A1 Mini a few months ago with the AMS system when it was on sale, specifically for getting my wife and sons into the hobby. I'm glad I did because of the ease of use. My family is now ready and is excited about us getting a K2 Plus and putting it along side our Ender 3 S1 Pro. In short, if you want to introduce someone to 3D printing, the A1 Mini is a GREAT start because it's so cheap. Creality (or other open source company) is definitely the better company for true hobbyists! Please like, if this comment was helpful. Thanks! 😊

Am I the only one who doesn’t care and still will rock a x1c lol I got rid of my ender for the X1C because I just wanted a printer that works without hesitation. I’ve never modded the x1c and I buy all there filament because it always just works and it’s so seamless. Like I hated the ender because I always had to play and adjust it constantly and I was so over that I’ll never go back. I’m not in it for the “hobby” of printing anymore and just want prints that come out great every time for functional items. To me open source printers are for the people who this is their hobby and like the tinkering side of 3D printing.

    • @stayreadyto3dprint

Mostly true. Open source can also mean you’re allowed to make decisions such as what accessories you want to use or what filament. I’m worried Bambu will close it down and force ppl into a subscription based filament system making ppl pay $30 a roll or if you opt out you can’t use it.

Yeah. I just got my K1C delivered today, and I am setting it up at this very moment. I had a small A1 mini, but needed a slightly bigger build plate. The P1 was too expensive and the K1C was in on offer with a reduced price, so it was a no-brainer. Anyway - I hope to see some reviews of the Creality Hi soon, because it looks like a very interesting machine.

I would consider myself a bambu lover… Before this happened. Is it possible this was always the plan? I suppose. But it also looked like the reason for the closed/locked down environment was to make the user experience better which let’s face it they did… It’s what brought me back after six years away from the hobby. And it’s been a great experience. There’s no doubt about it. I will not be forced to buy filament from them… And I will not be forced to pay a subscription to be able to use hardware I already purchased that didn’t require a subscription when I purchased it.

WHERE IS BAMBU SAYING THEY'LL CONTROL WHAT BRAND OF FILAMENT YOU CAN USE?

@@mikemccullough7045 they are locking rfid tags. And most of what they are doing I am predicting will be because they want to install some sort of subscription program. That’s my prediction. Time will tell if I’m right or wrong here.

You'd think Bambu would learn from every video game system (Leap pads, even), Android, and Apple phone that modders are gonna mod. If it breaks, they can just reflash the firmware to default. So basically people could run Play-Do thru it and waste tech support's time for fun.
