“Green stuff” is more generally known as epoxy putty. There are many different manufacturers, I buy mine in bulk from Green Stuff World’s shop on Ebay. However, if you are only wanted a small amount, Games Workshop and Tamiya are notable brands that sell it readily in the US.

Finally, loctite gets the respect it deserves.
Couldn’t you put the piece in boiling water and snug those pieces in cuz plastic get flexible when they r at higher temperature.
No, the 3d print resin becomes very brittle when exposed to heat. It’d be impossible to do without damaging something

if u use hot glue the head will never turn on the ball sock
Hot glue has very low adhesion so it will still function if you apply a small amount of force to break that adhesion, once it dries. If you’re that concerned about it, you can always put vasoline on the ball joint before hand to prevent it from sticking at all.

I’m not interested in selling at the moment. If you go to my instagram (same name as my youtube) and look at my following tab, you may be able to find other customizers who are taking commissions; most people say if their commissions are open in their bio. Just fyi, custom figures run anywhere from $100-$200 depending on their complexity and Commando kits are very complex to make.

You can try but it’s significantly more difficult because the pins in the joints are a bitch to both take apart and put back together
Did you glue the back pack or attach magnets to it so it can go off and go back on
Just glued, I didn’t have any desire to make it removable

How’s the articulation with everything added??
Practically the same as the base figure, minus the shoulders which now have a greater degree of articulation.
That "sanding sphere" is an engraving bit. though, that's a rather larger one than the one i got in the $20 walmart bit kit.I did get one thin rod, one thick, one cone, one small sphere.
Could I use Bly for the base body? Or other clone body’s?

I'm thinking of starting one of these kits; how poseable is the figure after finishing? do you lose any movement?
Not really, you lose a couple degrees of movement in the elbows and hips but that’s about it.

No, this is a genuine figure but those ones on aliexpress are practically identical.

That’s a bit too complex to go into great detail in text. The starkiller parts are 3D prints from scoundrel’s stock who I linked in that post. The rest is from a black series darth vader minus the boots which came from a knock-off black series kylo ren. And I used some thin black leather for his robes. In hindsight, I think using a darth vader bandai model kit would have been a lot easier and offer greater articulation.

Did you 3d print this and how do you get the sizing right for example if I wanted to also print out a 1/12 or 6 inch figure do u type in the length of the figure into the software ?
Its a 3D printed kit, yes. Chitubox does allow for resizing of pieces, yes. I go over the origins of the kit and files in the original assembly video, it can be found at the bottom of my page.

Does Tamiya cement works when attaching the parts to the figure?
No, tamiya cement is purpose built to bond polystyrene plastics together. You’d need some kind of super glue since the figure and pieces are made from different materials; TBS figures being PVC and the parts being resin.

The reason it moves in the in-game model is the way the rigging is done. In the actual model, art work and toys the "elbow" pieces are extentions of the gauntlets and not elbow armor at all. The old elbow pieces from the model is not actually used by commands.
Lol what, the in game models for both republic commando and battlfefront 2 clearly show a standard strap for the elbow pads, they even move as separate pieces in BF2. I’d imagine the only reason they’re attached to the gauntlets in RC is due to hardware limitations.

I absolutely love it! Looks so rad! But, where did you get the figure? I made some custom commandos using the BS Hunter body with 3D print helmets. But, they’re not entirely accurate to screen. I want to get a commando like you used! 👍
