Hey there, I'm Victoria, a 31-year-old based in Oslo, Norway. I'm currently balancing a 9-5 office job and UA-cam while creating a life I love. Follow my journey!
Exploring Oslo's Christmas Market & My Chaotic Apartment Life in Norway
In this vlog, I take you through the chaos at home as we're in the middle of lacquering the floor in the spare bedroom. It's messy, it's a process, and I show you what it looks like so far. After dealing with all that, I head over to the Christmas market, Jul i Vinterland, in Oslo. Located at Spikersuppa by Nationaltheatret, it's a nice escape and a chance to get a little taste of the holiday season. I hope you'll enjoy the vlog!

Thanks for the valuable knowledge I'm just wondering how to open account in bank as foreigner in Norway have a beautiful wonderful day
Sorry, this is not something I can answer :)
I totally understand the stitching issue, it looks shoddy. However, you look very nice in it and it is something you could potentially have lined up if you went to a tailor. The risk now is whether you want to spend more on the dress to make it as you want.
Yes, it's a shame, and after getting two dresses like that, I didn't want to spend more time or money on it, so just returned both of them :)
Which translation app do you use?
I mostly just use Google or ask ChatGPT 😁
❤❤❤hello.....Someone who broke into your house to steal... already knew that you have a job and work outside the home. The best thing is a loud siren.... Even a CCTV camera is useless. Because thieves cover their faces...... your videos are attractive ... Good luck.❤❤❤
People from Oslo, we are heading there in December...tips for cozy coffee shops..i would be grateful...thanks
Havens Kafe, Erketunet, Tim Wendelboe, Grand Café, Fuglen, and the restaurant at Hotel Bristol is very nice, they also offer Afternoon Tea. Kaffebrenneriet is a Norwegian coffee shop chain, so you can find them everywhere, they are very popular and offer good coffee 🥰
Your vlog makes me start to notice/appreciate more of the little things in our day to day to life ❤ thank you for the vlog🌻
That’s so nice! Thanks for watching 😊
Wow I like you
Beautiful video
Thanks!
@VictoriaSagely welcome
Great day
Maby it would be nice to show what kind of ornaments usualy Norwegians use for xmas?? For ex ur parents and you?? It would be fun to see :). Nice video today :).
That vary a lot! I think we are very influenced by american culture and ornaments, especially over the last few years. I think my parents have a bit different style/more old fashioned. I can certainly show both here and at my parent's, when we start decorating ☺ Thanks!
Hey V!❤Wow...what a busy week with the floor redo! I know...its sucks so bad to live with a reno..even if its small😂We had to do our kitchen earlier this year...the whole week..the whole kitchen was everywhere in the house😢Hope you had a good week so far! I really liked that Christmas ornament you had in your hand in the shop...the light pink one😁👌🏽❤🎉So happy to see another video! Looking forward to the next one! ❤Omw..wow...that tumbler is...so BIG😮😮! Definitely agree with checking customer service for a possible mistake or error in advertising!❤
Haha wow, I can imagine the mess with the kitchen! But hopefully it turned out nice ☺ Thanks for watching ❤
@VictoriaSagely Luckily it did!🤭🤭
Why do you say partner? Really don’t understand 😂
Why not?
@ Maybe, but does partner mean boyfriend or roommate?
In my case it's boyfriend. In Norwegian, we have a more "mature" word for boyfriend, if one is not married, and live together, which is "samboer". I think partner is nice in English ☺
@@VictoriaSagelyahhh thank you for explaining got it. I hope you didnt misunderstand me. 💐
@@yagmurunsecimi it's all good ☺
Greetings from Turkey 🩷 I love your videos 🌸
Thank you 🥰
hey Victoria, it's great that you already have Christmas markets at the beginning of November. You have two months of Christmas, that's great. For us, Christmas markets don't start until the end of November. and yes collecting things is a problem it looks nice but you can't part with it but then everything is full and you become a hoarder. I read a book by a well-known author about how you can live with a few things, minimalism, that was very interesting. I'm trying to do that now😊
Yes, it’s nice that the Christmas market opens in November 😊 That’s smart reading a book about it! I also like to watch UA-cam videos on minimalism, I have found it useful and become inspired, I like @SimpleHappyZen she’s very good 👍🏼
I understand you so well, November is my least favorite month 😂but we finally got snow in Siberia so it’s not that gloomy!:) Christmas market is so cozy!:) and I think you should be proud of yourself, the floor looks great 😍have a great weak and thanks for the vlog, I enjoyed watching it🥳
That’s nice! I’ve heard Siberia is very cold. Are you born and raised there? Thank you 😊 Thanks for watching!
@ yes I was born and live in Krasnoyarsk my whole life 😃but I lived in Saint Petersburg for three years 👍🏻 it’s cold in winter, usually between-10 and -20, but sometimes it can be -35😱summer is usually very warm 😊
That's so interesting! Would love to visit Saint Petersburg one day, but it's not recommended for us to travel there now 😔
@@VictoriaSagely I totally understand that 😔hope one day you can visit Saint Petersburg, it’s very beautiful! And I really want to visit Oslo!:) I’ve one been to Stockholm and Helsinki from the Nordic capitals ☀️
Plis legg ut vloggen der du pusser opp gulvet på soverommet 😊🙏🏼 Lurer på å gjøre det samme, det hadde vært fint å se deres prosess og erfaring med det ❤️
Skal vurdere det ☺️
love your channel! i’m visiting oslo for the first time with my mum early december 🌲🦌 excited for the christmas vibes
Thanks! How exciting 😍 Hope you’ll have a good trip!
Everything seems so peaceful 😊
Victoria I have a question do you now have no sun from 3pm onwards ?
The sun sets at 4pm these days, so still some daylight at 3pm, but slowly getting darker :)
Yey! New video!! Can you share your nighttime/skincare routine? :)
I only wash my face with a cleanser and water, moisterize and call it a day, so I don’t know how interesting that is 😂
@@VictoriaSagely haha! Same! Oh our simple and ordinary life. Keep uploading videos anyway cause I love your personality and I love your channel ❤
@@VictoriaSagely What moisturizer do you use?
@@Simplyjenny Thank you! I use CeraVe 🥰
OH ! My! I love love love the Christmas Market in Europe😍but I haven't been to Oslo yet, but will be on my bucket list😉 I love that vibe in Europe during the holidays!😍When I was in Germany there were so many Weinacht market😱 Anyway, where do you buy your clothes? Every color looks good on you(today is Purple)❤! You still love to drink Macha! Always enjoy watching your vlog, Thank you! Victoria!🩷🩷 😍
Thank you! I shop most of my clothes on Zalando 😊
@@VictoriaSagely no shipping to the U.S., 😅Thank you though.❤ohhh there's on Amazon.
Bummer! But you have many great stores over there too, and many I would love to shop from but either don't ship to Norway or it's just too expensive.
@@VictoriaSagely maybe we can swap out gifts :) ❤
I was in Oslo last December, and I really enjoyed Jul I Vinterland ❤ You brought back a lot of memories with your vlog ❤
That’s so nice! 🥰
Love the video as usual let us know the outcome of your tumblers
Thanks! I will 😊
The guest room looks good. If you are not very happy with it, get a professional to do some touch-ups. The Christmas market looks good too. It gets dark early in November where I live. We get less snow (usually at the end of Dec or early Jan) for the past few years because of climate change.
Thanks! Good idea 😊 We are also noticing the effects of climate change with less snow, longer winters but with more rain. Fortunately, we still usually get a lot of snow❤️
Ooh this makes me want to come to Oslo for a weekend the Christmas market looks a nice level of busy instead of jam packed like ours gets! And yes I know what you mean about November… but here in my part of England we just have more grey to look forward to snow is a rare bonus! 😢
You should visit! 😁 Yeah November is not my favorite month, but we usually have snow by now. It’s actually kind of late this year!
Nice video again. If you are looking for ideas, please do a Things to do (Christmas Market Edition) for Oslo. From a content perspective I think many people visiting will want to check it out before coming (local or tourists) and I guess you can show more of the locations and give maybe the context with other sights to see in town. You can highlight the options, prices, gf/vegan options if they have them and such, and this could be interesting for you to take on as a project, not just a video of your life. I remember you said you loved editing and filming but not necessarily sharing your life as much so I think it could be a great way to do something a bit different that could also include more planning/research. Almost if it were a task for the tourist board or something. What do you think?
Great idea! Thanks for the suggestion 😊
Oslo seem so lovely especially in Christmas season. I'm also working on paring down my stuff; move last year and realized too much things are a pain.
Yes, there are many different ways to make a good matcha. I used to use an electric whisk too, but I think it tastes even better when made with a bamboo whisk 😊
Hi Victoria, I really love your calm videos; it feels like you’re on a little date with yourself. I hope this doesn’t sound strange, but I’m curious about your zodiac sign. I’m a Taurus, and I feel like you might be an earth sign too. Thank you for sharing your daily life with us. Hope you have a nice day!
Thank you! Glad you enjoy them 😊 You're right - I'm a Capricorn! Although I don't know much about zodiac signs other than that 😁
The trim along the bottom of the room that you painted white is called the baseboard in English. Jul I Vinterland is so awesome. It's on my bucket 🪣 List. I want to see the talking moose 🫎 🫎
Thanks, learned something new 😁 haha, I love the talking moose!
If it's a mistake online they must give you the tumbler either way, false advertising is not fair.
I agree, they should do that! We'll just have to see what they say 😊
Aloha did good on Christmas market and you look good on this video
Thanks!
Your video is helping me get into the Christmas spirit. The new floor and paint looks great. They owe you another tumbler. The advertisement stated set of two and the picture showed two. You are correct they should have sent you two. Thank you for showing us life in Norway!
That's nice! Thank you 😊 I agree - we'll just have to see what they say.
I'm from India. I always watch your videos and vicariously live the Oslo life through you. My husband and I feel serene watching Jonna Jinton and your vlogs
That's so nice! Thanks for watching 😊
Cool ❤
Your video makes me so excited to come and live in oslo in the next few weeks. Cant wait to enjoy the Christmas vibe there 🎉🎉
Yay, that's awesome! Hope you have a good time 😊
Victoria have you considered getting a shopping bag with wheels? You can get your groceries after work and you dont have to carry them this way. Thanks for another vlogg ❤
Haha, that's a good idea! Thanks for the tip, and thanks for watching ❤️
I have a tip for you Victoria. I too am often hungry for sweets but then I take bitter substances, for example bitter powder or bitter drops, you can order them online then the hunger for sugar is over again😊 try it out. I also have another question: Do you think Oslo is more beautiful in the summer or spring or in the winter with all the snow here in Germany we unfortunately have no snow at all😢
Thanks for the tip! 😊 Good question. I feel like as a Norwegian, I'm supposed to answer the winter with the snow... and it IS very beautiful, but I just hate being cold! 😂 So I like spring/summer more, because of all the bright colors - like the grass, trees, the sky, the sunlight, and the city is waking up again after the winter. But winter is very beautiful here, as long as I don't have to go outside, haha!
0:01 idk in early morning when im going to my Dutch h language school i just stand there when things are much quiter at 6:30AM and a bit more cold and clean because its quite rare to have a empty crossing in the middle of amsterdam one of the most busiest and densely populated cities in europe its just mesmerising to see a sleeping city suddenly coming there and running away asap because of noise and crowd and traffic it really becomes insufferable at parts of days during rush hour❣️😌
I also like it better when it's nice and quiet 😁
@@VictoriaSagely us❣️🤗
REally enjoyed this video. The dress is so beautiful on you, but I totaloly get the issue with teh stitching! I also always pay attention to it haha
Thank you ❤️
wow, for that big price, those stiches are mess :( like sheins dresses have same deffects but they cost like 20 bucks
Exactly!
After lunch your blood gushes towards the stomach to help with the digestion process, therefore everyone feels cold after a big meal.. 😊❤ it's all science ❤❤
Hi Victoria! I am happy to see new vlogs :)
So nice of you to say that! thanks for watching 😊
nice video 😊 Have a great day ❤
Thanks, you too!
This was so much fun! I loved to see the stores and markets! Thanks
Glad you liked it!
I honestly hate Instagram, but because I'm not that good with all those bottoms and functions that platform offers. I personally think it is good to promote some services and for career purposes, but not for exposing personal life. I love UA-cam most and specially because you can see a little bit more than 1D picture of somebody's " polished" life. I don't like polished lives and perfect pictures. I want real people, their struggles, feelings, normal kitchen and normal life. Not rented villa or leased Rolls Royce. I feel inspired of beautiful places and events, but not artificial. So, you go girl! You have a very realistic, nice, calmed and pleasent content. Most of the people are normal people who need to cook, shop, clean, work, have fun and do all those normal life things.❤
I agree! Those polished lives and fake portrayals are not inspiring to me either. Thank you 😊
I would visit Norway someday and meet you 😊 these wraps are so common in our country too. We often eat it separately not in a wrap form though. ❤
I feel like you need to try a wavy or curly hair routine and show us how ur hair turns out
Haha maybe! 😄
Thanks for sharing!
I totally agree with you about the dress. Although it was very flattering on you, spending your hard earned money on shoddy workmanship is just not right! Pats on the head to sweet Penny!❤
Exactly! 😊
I love your vlogs so much! Please keep filming those kind of things❤ can you explain a bit more about your life as a Norwegian?
Thanks! ❤️ Sure, but that’s a broad question, is there anything in particular you want me to cover?
@ so I want to visit Norway sooo bad! But unfortunately, this is not going to happen soon…. So I’m interested in learning about your culture, about the life in the cold weather, maybe about traveling in Norway and Oslo in particular. I love love learning about Scandinavian life because it is so different from my life! Thank you for answering, love you🥰🥰
I see! Have you watched my other vlogs? I could share even more about life in future ones, so you can learn bit by bit ☺️ Where do you live?
@ of course! I watched all of them! I like the way you share your realistic day and your realistic thoughts! Nowadays many influencers film “morning routine” as if they don’t have a job… so I like your style so much! I live in Israel Which is very hot country so our winter temperatures is about 10-15 degrees (Celsius) so watching people who live in cold countries is very interesting for me! Thank you for answering!💝
That’s so true! I don’t like those unrealistic morning routines either. Thanks for watching ☺️ Oh, I see! Israel is pretty far away, and different from Norway, so that’s interesting 😄
That drawer can be easily replaced with shelves that come out .. unable to articulate well..but there are solutions 😊
