How To Play John Mayer’s WTLI Intro to Slow Dancing in a Burning Room - No Talking Lesson!
I’ve been asked many times for a video lesson on the WTLI Slow Dancing in a Burning Room Intro… it’s finally here!
This isn’t really designed as lesson for beginners, but it will allow intermediate players to watch what I’m playing and work it out easily, which isn’t possible from the original video of John Mayer playing it.
Hope this helps some of you out, and please feel free to like, comment and subscribe if this lesson has helped you out in any way at all!
If you really like you want to support what I do then leave me a tip - it allows me to make more of these videos and buy better equipment to film content with: www.paypal.me/jakeloosemore

For anyone thinking "man ill never be able to afford either of these amps..." I just got a Ceriatone JM50.. and I watched this video and tweaked the knobs, wow it sounds IDENITCAL to the Two Rock Clean. There is literally no difference, throw a katana clean boost in with it and you have his exact tone. The JM50 goes for $2,000 WITH middle, bass, and bright mods. They are handwired and made to order. Go check them out if you want this tone on a "budget"

I'm the proud owner of one of these - it is a superb guitar. Nice melodic demo - could have added the out of phase position using the coil tap? It sounds Strat-ish. Of all the solid body guitars I've played this guitar has the nicest neck, in my opinion.

I’m 78 now having played for the better part of 65 years. Started out with a 64 Telecaster similar to Jake’s. It is so nice to see young musicians such as Jake and John Cordy play with such touch and feeling.

@@JakeLoosemore Keep up the hard work. Growing up in Toronto and while in high school in the 60s, I worked weekends at Toronto’s largest music store. Right in the heart of the bar scene. Great experience. But there was a jazz player from Toronto you may have heard of. Ed Bickert. His effortless and soulful phrasings caught my ear even when the Beatles were taking over the airwaves. I’m hoping that more young players take a listen to some of the old masters and incorporate that touch in their playing. Cheers.

How do they feel? It seems like the JM is more saggy and bouncy vs a direct TC. I really think 1 cap change for the bass in the tone stack can get the TC more boomy. I also think the contour knob vs presense is more useful.
