    I love the spacing on the rock board. Very nice. I got a pedal train now, the big one from back in the day. My wife and I were throwing out a big tv entertainment center and I noticed the top wood on it was a whole piece and very nice. Measured it and it’s longer than a terra 42. One trip to Home Depot later and I’m ripping my entire board apart today and rebuilding it on a flat piece of wood lmao

  • @Sekirobborne
    @Sekirobborne 22 дні тому

    Sounds great. Do you think this will have enough clean headroom for most gigging situations? I’m considering this amp but want to make sure I have enough headroom / stage volume

    • @SunnyvilleMusic
      @SunnyvilleMusic 22 дні тому

      @@Sekirobborne I’ve actually used it during gigs and I’d say in most situations it should have more than enough clean headroom. It’s a really loud 35 watts. But Ofcourse, it depends on what amp you’re coming from.

    • @Sekirobborne
      @Sekirobborne 19 днів тому

      So it tends to cut through the mix well and above a loud drummer? Can I ask if you were playing with a second guitarist? I have played 100 watt Marshall’s, fenders, Friedman , Mesa etc but 100 watt is definitely more than what I need these days.

    • @SunnyvilleMusic
      @SunnyvilleMusic 19 днів тому

      @@Sekirobborne It definitely did cut through. I used an MIJ Firebird for the longest time ( just sold it) and that also contributed to being heard in the mix. The lead vocalist in my band is also the rhythm guitarist. But I could definitely be heard over him. These days, I can barely have the stage volume over 1 o clock without being asked to turn down. And the SS stays pretty clean at that point. If you're still unsure, you could look at the 40w Traditional Clean. That's a fair bit heavier though.

    • @Sekirobborne
      @Sekirobborne 19 днів тому

      So you still gig with the studio signature and having it above 1 you get asked to turn down? Do you think if I needed to move more air I could hook it up to an additional 1x12 cab? also, are you able to get good overdriven rock tones with pedals? How do rate the traditional clean vs classic reverb signature? Do you find yourself needing to mic up often with gigs?

    • @SunnyvilleMusic
      @SunnyvilleMusic 19 днів тому

      @@Sekirobborne well all my gigs require me to mic up my amp. And yeah, you could definitely connect it to a 1x12 if you need to move more air. Though despite being a relatively small combo, it doesn’t sound boxy. It moves plenty of air too.

    Hey buddy, would you mind telling me how you run this pedal, your settings and if you play it on a clean amp or at edge of break up ? I have the same pedal but I simply haven’t figured out how to make it sound right.

    • @SunnyvilleMusic
      @SunnyvilleMusic Місяць тому

      Hey! Sure man :) So I usually run this pedal (or any fuzz face) into an overdrive cause my amp is usually pretty clean. For this clip, I had the fuzz (vol near full, fuzz at 1 o clock) running into a Snouse Blackbox and that going into my Two Rock Studio Signature. The blackbox kinda rounded out the edges, gave it some mid range and also controlled the volume (if I need that). Hope that helps!

    I was a '68 Vibrolux fan and owner for years, but they're noisy (so I replaced it with a Carr Sportsman -- a fantastic amp). In this comparison, I'd choose the Twp-Rock for clarity and depth; also that 'rounded-off' sound you mentioned. Makes me want to buy one now.

    • @SunnyvilleMusic

      The Carr is a great amp! I have a friend who jams with one. But yeah, the Two Rock to me has definitely been a big step up from the vibrolux. It’s like all the frequencies are in the right place. I’d definitely suggest trying one if that’s possible :)

      @@SunnyvilleMusic I have that one myself..The BC183 It's comparable to the Red Velvet but the latter seems to love that Univibe a little more. Tbh can't go wrong with any of these. My fave fuzz is still my rare Love Lovepedal White Dragon (handwired P2P, "large dragon" logo) but it's a little fussy about buffers, unlike the Chase & SGFX. It's a hybrid ge/si beast of a Fuzz I never gig with it tho. Terrified someone will spill beer on it! That's where good old MXR and Electro Harmonix come in, along with my clones and NUX/Joyo/Caline cheapies Good video. I'm seriously considering a Fuzz Fella for my HiWatt. Gilmour tones...precioussss
