I don't know if you deliberately timed it so you got the last chaos emerald at the last possible moment but I was on the edge of my seat and fully invested in seeing you succeed at that point. This was much more entertaining than a pixel-perfect speedrun and really brought back some great memories of being a 12 year old kid back in 1992 and playing this for the first time. :)

Howdy, one of the byoc dev here thanks for tryin out the mod! Ill leave some important stuff for the classes you played. General tips before i textwall, check out the manual! It may be daunting but it gives the full list of weapons and gimmicks. Also play on zandronum your experience will greatly improve, plus there's exclusive features like cosmetics, and an in-game class changer menu that will automatically swap your class without refreshing a map, plus giving important tips for each class. Postal dude: his petition is meant multiplayer, where you can get another player to sign it, you both get hp, if you get hit though it canceld it and you get a temp damage boost. His rocket launcher also has an altfire Heavy: pretty much got everything right, though the weapons are meant to slowly reload over time if they arent being held (might be a gzdoom issue), also cow mangler has an altfire Stupid rat: his "spit it out" weapon (the brick one) alliws you to spew out your traditional ammo, altfire toggles the ammo type. The balloon, pizza, and plane ammo recharge by taking damage, while the phone recharges by dealing it. The "hi kill system" was a remainder of the gzdoon version patch that wasnt removed for some reason. Its not present in the zandronum version. (We likely wont update the gzdoom version for awhile because zabdronum is our focus and the gzdoom version is just sorta byoc-lite as its missing many fun things (no classes are missing jyst cosmetics) Megaman sprite: his gimmick is punching the shit you throw, which you mostly got, though you can punch dr light, the bball pasta and the wasp box as well. Tony didnt seem to click well but thats because you missed the most important gimmick for getting gabagool back, punching with altfire. Landing a successful punch will give you some gabagool back so you gotta remain aggressive to stay in the fray. Garth you mostly got but some quick notes: (as the class creator im glad you enjoyed him) The revolver headshots enemies The pinbowlers bowling ball does a mega explosion after 10 hits, works best in crowds. The corn cob launcher has remite detonation (pressing reload while a cob is out) The pacman ghost deletes enemy corpses and prevents archvile resurrection The paintbrush is the chainsaw pickup, its just a fuckaround tool since chainsaws in vanilla doom arent super viable. Press reload to toggle color Dr doomguy: hes stronger than normal doomguy, but is slower and gets less ammo, his healing is doubled though. Plus the chainsaw gives you a protective clipboard which acts like a shield. Doomslayer is a bit of a mix, i made him behave to be a more straightforward rep of nu-doom. Theres no meathook on the ssg because this mod does not have jumping in mind. Most vertical movement has you not moving horizontal, thus i simply didnt add it. The rocket launcher has remote detonation on altfire. The balista you get from the plasma pickup! Byoc has a pickup system where you can receive multiple weapons from a pickup if the class creator so chooses. Slot 7 is in fact the bfg9000. Also those sounds are in fact doomslayer, the cheesy death scream was an unused sound and the "no" is his iconic line after killing the dark lord in tag 2. Sir daniel fortesque (pronounced fourteskyu) is a bit of an oddball i made because i love medievil. One big thing thats missed is the dash which can be done with the zoom key, if you arent using a two handed weapon (those being the club and longbow), you can ram into enemies with the shield, which gets upgraded eventually The small sword gets instantly replaced when you get the broadsword to not clutter your selection as its basically am upgrade to the fist slot. The enchanted broadswords enchantment just increases the damage, but it costs shells to charge up. The bfg is not the chalice, you get the chalice by collection enough souls (killing enemies) and has two functions. The homing projectile thing is a creative liberty, its just a way to spend remainder souls after you get the golden shield. The altfire can heal players around you, if you use this with no souls, it starts damaging you and CAN KILL YOU. The real bfg is a chicken drumstick, which turns enemies into cooked chicken but you dont get souls. The crossbow altfire is from the ps4 remake, minus the faster rate of fire and spread. Misc stuff: If you want caleb theres samsarra reincarnation, it features alot of old fps classes. (I cant reccomend it for much else the mod is p poorly balanced and unstable as fuck, also just kinda sucks). We have caleb at home, bandit bowie who has some fire based weaponry, a pitchfork melee, and dynamite (works differently though), along with other interesting western themed weaponry.
