Hi the approx water capacity will be approx 95000ltr..and fish you can rear approx 6500 fish..assuming the fish biomass of 500gms.

Based on the mass or wight of the fish required as per the customer market the fish culture time is decided..Some markets require 500gms to 600gms weight and some market require 800gms to 1kg..

Pls do understand C:N ratio is maintained for the growth of bacteria which maintains the parameters of water..but bacteria are also responsible for making water toxic if thier growth is higher then the required parameters....mainly generating ammonia..in the system..so water has to be filtered time to time as per the water testing...parameters requirement..

If water is toxic you need to immediately fillter the water or drain out the water upto 60% -70% and start filling the tank with fresh water ..

@@floragreenaquafarms9179 Thank you so much for your reply sire and explanation. However, we use carbon source rely on feed protein and quantity also right? So, we provide feed for fish every day. Therefore, we need to apply cabon surce every day or not sire in order to maintain C:N? Sorry for ask this question but honestly i still don't understand about it.

@@TraShare fish feed are important..C:N ratio are important for growth of bacteria so that your fish feed requirement goes down...and bacteria also helps in maintaining water parameters...but anything of over can create imbalance in system...you can use carbon source every forth night or weekly ...but check the water parameters daily .

Aerator is one of the part of the process .to provide oxygen to the system ...but there are other parameters also..to follow in Biofloc system...to run the system successfully..

No no..RAS is a very different system..which works on water filtration.. principal...RAS is an expensive model..as you need bigger tanks...and you can breed almost all kind of fishes...after proper guidance and understanding...Biofloc has an limitation on fish breed you can grow or rear. Biofloc system is meant for lower mass or weight fish...in a smaller time frame...

Yes you can go for this method also by gradually increasing the water level to 10000 ltr or preparing the floc in 10000ltr water from the beginning itself .

Probiotic are required intially to make floc...once required floc is maintained then..you need to maintain only C:N ratio to help the floc to multiply..which will take care of rest parameters. Biofloc system is a science we need to understand its pros and cons before implementation.

Catla fish in biofloc is net yet successful as it need more time to grow for the marketable size of 1kg and above ..Go for open.pond biofloc system...

Initially FCO has to be given everyday for at least 2 weeks ..till you get Biofloc level of 20gm-30gm per liter ...and later on you need to measure the Biofloc level and add FCO time to time to maintain Biofloc level between..20ml to 30ml per litre...

Hi...this is an general concept, to reach a minimum profitability...only the challenge is that you should know all the breeding parameters...of the multiple fish..if you can sell in huge qty then 1 breed at a time In multiple tank will be profitable..

Thanks for your comments..our motto is make aware that Biofloc is successful model..but you need to know whether it will be suitable for you or not, as there are many parameters to follow before investing in this project..rather then following blindly that investing in Biofloc system you will be earning in lakhs..from day one ...as claimed by lot of UA-camrs .so pls do your research before investing ..

Hello pls be informed..Biofloc is meant for high density, lower biomass( 500gms - 600gms) with smaller time frame(4-6 months) of harvesting aquaculture system.and species which can eat or consume flocs as thier food source....Koi carp or Gold fish are ornamental fish they are delicate they need to be reared with care....so it might be challenge in the Biofloc system...you can experiment with lower tank capacity with lesser density...of fish...then might be possible... but need to check whether this method will be profitable for you or not...

Biofloc is meant for lower body mass or 400gms - 600gms weight with shorter time culture (6-8 months)..for Rohu or IMC it needs longer culture time to achieve the Acceptable body mass of 1.5kg and above..and it need more space to grow.. you can culture Rohu in Biofloc system but it will not be profitable...systematic scientific open pond aquaculture are more suitable for Rohu or IMC for profitability..in long term.

Catla or IMC are not successful in Biofloc system yet..as they need longer period to reach a market required size of 1.5kg to 2kg..pond culture is best for Catla or IMC species..Biofloc is meant for shorter duration harvest and lower body mass or weight for e.g 200gms to 500gms..and survive in high density environment that is the reason shrimp, desi mangur , singhi and Vietnam koi , etc are more successful in Biofloc system as they can survive in high density environment..

Biofloc system is meant for shorter duration harvest 6-8 month(max) and biomass expectation is between 400gms-600gms only..therefore shrimps/catfish / tilapia are cultivated. Biofloc is meant for the fish species who can survive the tough living condition like temperature fluctuation / high suspended solid water , they can feed on the floc and off course they have to live in high density environment , they have to be surface feeder or Surface breather . If we evaluate the characteristic of Milk fish they are bottom feeder and they are sensitive to the environment...They might not survive the biofloc condition the mortality could be high which might not be economical feasible...
