Someone in 1 of the BTS features said something about how both Wu and Swearengen could've very easily learned the other's language if they wanted to. They're obviously both very smart characters. They simply chose not to learn because of their own communities and cultures.

It was awesome when Al dispatched Johnny, Silas, and Dan wearing masks to assassinate the Tong on Wu's behalf. Wu shows up under Al's balcony and cuts off his hair stating "Wu, American." Al moved says "And she will clutch you to her bosom."

Wu is still one of my favorite characters in the show.

The funniest part of that scene was the girls doing rock, paper, scissors in the background.

Thus was he forever known in the Western frontier as Ten Day Wu.

Wu is always the one doing the hard work xD He seemingly has a better time understanding English than speaking it. But far better than Al whom mostly gestures and copies Wu. Having to rely on pictures and what English Wu knows.

My favorite part of the series was one time Wu was going on about somebody from San Francisco and he was a cocksucker. Sweringan just goes yea yea, San Francisco..cocksucker..I got it 😂😂

No one saw at the close of the scene when Sweringan barked at the prostitutes about the passed out guy, when the girls contest it with rock-paper-scissors, to see whom would get him. this is all going on in the background, out of focus, or the seam closes with a high resolution close-up of Sweringan's face. Brilliant cinematography.

Thought that was the chubby guy on Pawn Stars.
