I like Elizabeth since Karate Kid and damn does she look as good as ever. The British actors though? I dunno what kind of actors gulag they go through for their training. They are so good. I think that’s why British actors do well in the States. If it was just the English or that the US market has such a pull factor then we should reasonably have more Aussie, Kiwi and Canuck actors than we actually have. There’s something with the British training that makes them superb thespians. If I was to guess it’s probably that British actors are required to perform more uncomfortable training than actors in other countries. If you know not of what I a referring then look it up. Acting classes is all about putting yourself out there in situations that would make most of us extremely uncomfortable and downright embarrassed. Actors have to embrace the suck. The Brits are best at it. And they can mimic any accent. And they enunciate. Once you hear the difference in a mixed ensemble you can’t not notice it.
