good find! these look sharp

why on earth are the zippers on the outside though?! so much harder for some of us to get to plus kinda looks weird being on the outside
Style points? They look super cool like that, but we all have our own point of view on aesthetics!
Hey buddy how are you feeling man ? I hope & praying 🙏 that the pain is starting to reduce some for you . I seen something like this before . I think they are pretty cool . My boys said they would like to try them out for me since I can't . I just wondering how much they cost ? Do you know are they true to size ? You said you got a pair of 43/ 44 that's a 10 1/2 to 11 in us shoes size . Is that your shoes size ? I know that not the width of your foot i just trying to see if that's your shoes size & are true too size if i order them for my 6 boys . Well 5 of my boys because one of them his foot is very very extremely wide like mine is & can't fit into sock because his toes are Evenly straight across too . But my other 5 don't have toes that are Evenly straight across they just have very very wide feet 🦶 . Thanks you for still making video while your Ankle is broke . I pray 🙏 for your recovery heal very well .
Hi Mack-- Yes my normal shoe size is 10.5 or 11 US men's size. I mentioned the price in the video.. I think right now they're around $48 Euro--right now that's around $52 USD. You should just have ONE of your kids try them first and see if they work. You could also try one of the imitators on Amazon like these for $27: amzn.to/48oXqve or these other ones for $20-25 depending on color: amzn.to/4elIuzD .. I haven't tried either of these so I don't know if they fit the same or if they're similar quality or what--but if one of them works, you would save quite a bit since you're buying so many. Unless of course you want to go for the OG ones that I reviewed.. Up to you! Anyway, I broke my ankle 5 weeks ago already.. I can't believe how fast the time is going. I'm still not allowed to put any weight on it, so I'm still on crutches. It sucks not being able to get around and do things, I'm normally very active, surf almost every day, etc.. but eventually I'll be back at it. Thanks for asking man!
Interesting, I've seen various types, but haven't bought any. I thought of getting them for beachwear and putting around the house and/or yard when you need to throw something on in a pinch. They look like my shop gloves, haha, novelty idea but with some viable uses.
Yes I've seen several versions. I've seen some comparisons, and this is one of the wider ones--plus I think they originated the idea--so I gravitated to them. So far I like them but I haven't gotten to give them some tougher tests yet, since I broke my dang ankle.
I'd want if they were toe socks
I hear you.. that would be cool. I can tell you're thinking of them more as socks. If you think of them as shoes, maybe you'd be more open to try them... unless you only wear Vibram toe shoes.. Just a thought!
Oooohh.. I found some cheapies on AliExpress that might interest you: www.aliexpress.us/item/3256807706668772.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.main.17.6d6dJo5JJo5J2O&algo_pvid=d1f0c641-15d2-4cdf-ba99-e3db3749367a&algo_exp_id=d1f0c641-15d2-4cdf-ba99-e3db3749367a-8&pdp_npi=4%40dis%21USD%2131.50%2115.43%21%21%2131.50%2115.43%21%402101eab017303465397678493efd40%2112000042743314332%21sea%21US%210%21ABX&curPageLogUid=ohbr7j7fISd7&utparam-url=scene%3Asearch%7Cquery_from%3A
Can you tell how they run size wise compared to a Vivobarefoot?
Hi.. yes.. the length is true to size, so very similar to Vivo in that regard. These are a few mm wider though, your feet will have just a little more space. Check Origo's sizing chart for more specifics. If you use my affiliate link (which will also save you 10% on your purchase): origoshoes.com/discount/ORIGOJOSH, then go to the Everyday Sneaker page, just above the "Add to Cart" button, you should see a small link that says "Size Chart." Click that link, and it will tell you the inside length and width of the shoes. Measure your feet, and try to allow an extra 8-15mm length inside the shoe, that should give you a really good idea of the best size to order for you. That's my two cents. If you don't want to do all of that, order your normal size and my guess is that you will be good. :)
Do you think they could accommodate a thick insole? I’m still adjusting to barefoot, and need to be able to fit an insole for now, but I find some shoes just don’t have enough volume for that.
Well the boots can accommodate them; but the question that matters is--can your feet fit in there once they do? If you have lower volume feet (the thickness from bottom to top), then yes, you should be fine. If your feet are thicker / higher volume, then it might be a little tight, depending on how thick of an insole you're talking about. I would just try them. Origo's return policy is pretty good--I think they only charge a $7 restocking fee. Just make sure they look just like they did when they arrived, don't try them outdoors, etc. Hopefully they'll fit perfectly for you and you won't have to use it--but this makes it pretty easy to give them a shot. If you get some, don't forget to save 10% by using my affiliate link: origoshoes.com/discount/ORIGOJOSH You might also need my discount code ORIGOJOSH at checkout. Thanks--it helps me out too! Let me know how it goes!
What happens if that nice suede gets wet?
Well I personally wouldn't choose suede shoes on a day when it was wet outside. However, there are also waterproofing treatments out there for suede that would solve this for you, I'm sure! If you end up getting something, please use my affiliate link: bit.ly/joshmagical .. Thanks much!
i know this video is old but what wallet do you carry now? how did the one in this video hold up?
I'll be honest with you. This one is sitting in my drawer, perhaps for a special occasion where I'm dressed with brown accents and I want to be hyper detailed. If my current wallet wears out at some point, I will probably just move to this one, it's really beautiful. Mostly I end up dressing with black accents, so I went with a black wallet for my everyday use and I absolutely LOVE it. I did a review of it here: ua-cam.com/video/5MwiyI3-W0s/v-deo.html
@@barefootshoejosh thanks sir
@@barefootshoejosh nice wallet have you tryed others since then or no?
Have you tried Flex? How does the length and width of Flex and Tanga compare?
Hi.. the length and width should be similar, if not identical between the Flex and Tanga. I have not tried the Flex. The Flex has a tongue, while the Tanga does not. I don't know about you, but I'm a simplicity fan, so the less edges and pieces and parts that are involved and potentially rubbing on my feet, etc, the better. My vote is for the Tanga. However, if you have lower volume feet, you may actually like having the tongue, because it might allow you to cinch things down tighter. Personal preference I guess. If you end up getting something, please use my affiliate link: bit.ly/joshfreet and use my discount code josh-freet to get 10% OFF!
So sorry that happened to you, Josh. Wishing you a full and fast recovery. No, I don't have any suggestions, but yes, I'd be happy to see one-shoe reviews without the walk arounds.
Thanks for the recovery wishes, John, and thanks for commenting and answering my question for me!
Needed to know if these were stiff or flexible. The bending of the shoe that you showed was great. Thank you for that.
No problem, I'm glad it helped. I wish my affiliate links were working for Flux, but they aren't right now :/
Sorry to hear about your fall Josh. That looked fairly inoccuous but the resulting damage certainly wasn't! Maybe worth considering an osteoporosis bone check (calcium deficiency). I understand this can develop as we get older, anything in the family of this nature, or could be as you say, just down to very bad luck. Separately I would like to thank you for your Shamma Numa sandals review. It inspired me to order a pair last week, which will be my first set of bare foot sandals. Now I'm just waiting patiently for delivery to the UK. In terms of reviews, just be guided by what you're comfortable doing, and not over exerting yourself.
Thanks for commenting. You know, I had the same thought about checking my calcium, and I intend to ask the doc about that in a month when I have my next check-in. I'm unaware of any problem in this regard, either in me or my family; but it's worth asking. Any thoughts on either doing one-footed reviews, or suggestions for other topics of interest to you?
@@barefootshoejosh I say try one-footed reviews, and see how it rolls. Or you can get a friend to model for the photoshoots 😁 * As soon as you can get that leg working I recommend you get into swimming and then hiking or tai chi
@@ArsonDPI Thanks for the feedback. It seems most people are voting for one-footed reviews being OK. I thought of the "model" solution; but nobody I would do this with has the same size feet as me, so I don't think I can do it LOL. Thanks for the recommendation. I'm currently doing "seated' Qigong and "seated" yoga, since I can't do my regular yoga or qigong.. I like the swimming option though, we have a community pool in my neighborhood, so I will probably do that as soon as I can do so safely. Thanks again!
The shoes don't have any membrane (even the manufacturer's website doesn't provide such information). There is a velour leather strip above the soles which acts as a sponge absorbing water and transferring it to your feet (impregnation doesn't help), so using it in a wet environment is a bad idea. The shoes are very comfortable as if you were wearing thick socks. The zippers are also a great idea. Unfortunately they are not very warm. At around 0°C (water freezing point) feet are getting cold in a few minutes, especially from the soles (without additional insoles, which must be purchased separately). The lugs on the soles catch mud and wet dirt, and it is impossible to remove it without a thin stick. But when the dirt dries at home, it will fall off when putting on the shoes, resulting in a pile of dirt on the floor. I used these shoes throughout the winter season in Eastern Europe and unfortunately I can't recommend them.
I've worn them in less than freezing, roughly 20 degrees F, and they were plenty comfortable to me; but different people's feet run colder or warmer than others--and I do have the extra warm insoles but I've actually never needed to put them in yet. As you mentioned, the website makes no claims of these being waterproof (having a membrane), so I'm not sure why you would expect them to be, or be disappointed that they weren't. Also, they're more of a casual boot vs. a hiking boot, so I've never worn them in muddy conditions, as that doesn't really seem to fit this type of boot--but if you found yourself somewhere where you needed to cross a muddy area for some reason, I guess I could see cleaning the soles being a problem. If you're looking for hiking boots, or waterproof boots, or extreme cold weather boots, there are some great options out there, some of which I may have covered here on the channel, and many others I haven't yet. When possible, it's always best to determine your needs up front, then find boots that are made to suit those particular needs, rather than trying to fit a square peg in a round hole, in my humble opinion.
Oh no! I hope everything heals quickly and correctly. Have you ever reviewed barefoot socks? Like socks with a wide toe bed or toe socks? I'd be interested in that. Otherwise, I think maybe you could do some UA-cam shorts when trying on the shoes for first impressions, and then hopefully later on, you can do a more in-depth review? And if you don't, that's cool too. Take care of yourself ❤
Thank you. That's a good idea. I have bunches of toe socks, but I didn't keep good track of who made which ones :/ I do actually have a pair of hybrid "sock shoes" sitting and waiting to be reviewed right now though! I haven't yet looked up how to do the Shorts on YT but I really want to do that, so that's a great suggestion--thank you, and thank you for the well wishes!
Thanks Sir. Love the reviews
Thanks for commenting. Glad you enjoy!
Have you done long distance run in these (at least 5 miles)?
Hi.. sorry I can't say that I have but I've walked in them a lot. I like to jog but right now I'm out of commission. As I mentioned in the video, these run a little narrow for my feet, so they probably wouldn't be my choice for running even if I was able to right now. I'm sure they're fine if you're already used to running in barefoot shoes though.
I like your reviews. One of the best things I like about your reviews that others seem to not do as well as you do is that you always do the flexibility test in every way, taco, hot dog, twistie, roll up ect. That alone always brings me back to your reviews.
That's one of the funnier compliments I've gotten, so thank you.. and thank you for watching!
Did you order the Alaskan Light version ?
Unfortunately, the light version didn't exist when I got mine. My one wish at the time was "I love these boot so much. I really wish they had an uninsulated, light, normal weather version of this." It looks like you might be the beneficiary of my powerful wishing. If you end up grabbing some, first, please use my affiliate link: bit.ly/joshmagical and second, drop a comment here, and let me know how you love them so I can be insanely jealous.
I'm looking at getting my first barefoot sandal and these look real nice. Was wondering if the heel anchors bother you as they look a little narrow on the footbed.
Hi yes the back straps are a little narrow in the heel area.. definitely narrower than my foot is. I don't know how to explain it, but it doesn't bother me at all, personally. Shammas are one of my two favorite sandals, hands-down. If you end up grabbing some, please use my affiliate link bit.ly/shammajosh to get 10% off the already low price!
They look really nice and i considered them but the price is just way too high!
worth every penny. they are butta!
They don't seem to have half US sizes (anymore)? 10.5 would have been perfect.
I think they only had half sizes on one or two models but I could be wrong about that. Their advice on this model is if you're ordering men's and you fall between sizes, order down. If you're ordering women's and you fall between sizes, order up. That's their advice not mine. In any case, if you're in the US, the return policy is easy and they even cover return shipping, so try one size and if that doesn't work, return it and order the other size. My guess one will fit. If you do end up getting something, please use my affiliate link: splayshoes.com/?ref=splayjosh …and use my barefoot code JOSHBAREFOOT to get 10% OFF .. Thank you!
I had a Groove Life wallet for a while, and as a minimalist wallet, the size and weight really started to bother me. I replaced it a few months ago with one of these, and I have loved it. It carries the same amount as my Groove one did for a fifth of the price and it's much more comfortable. I definitely recommend these for people looking to slim down their pockets. Great review!
ah cool thanks for commenting!
looks nice!
Dude they are smooth, no lie.
Great review Josh! Between these leather retro and the leather everyday sneaker which do you prefer? Can't decide between the two 😅 I'm a size 13
I'm so glad you liked it. I will say that the Retro has maybe a hair more volume. Other than that, it basically comes down to your personal style preference. My favorite is the Everyday Sneaker. They are beautiful. I recently had an offsite work conference in Arizona and I rocked them with khakis and a golf shirt. Anyway, that's my two cents. Whichever way you choose, please SAVE YOURSELF 10% by using my affiliate link origoshoes.com/discount/ORIGOJOSH and/or you might need to put in the discount code ORIGOJOSH during checkout.. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Sweet thank you!! I ended up purchasing 2 pairs of everyday @@barefootshoejosh
@@roscoe007 OH? Cool! Did you happen to use my info to save your 10%?
My self and my 14 year old daughter like them a lot. I especially got them for her as claims stated they are good shoes for also kids and teens because they sweat a lot. My shoes smelled so bad after 2 times whirring them. It says you can go bre foot in these. My daughters shoes where horrible! even w socks! when she went barefoot in them I washed them - it was smelling the entire house. Now she keeps whirring them and feet stinks bad. Her friends even told her. She likes them. I used foot powder and me and her used thick white socks. I did not do any thing
That's very interesting. I've NEVER ONCE worn socks with either pair of Flux shoes I own. I've worn them both for miles and miles of walking and they both smell like new. I think experiences like this must vary by the person. One option you might consider is getting some different removeable insoles. You can wear them for a while, then get a new pair if they get stinky. My favorite insoles on Amazon: amzn.to/3TNPe1q
I wonder how it compares to jim greene boots
In my opinion they don't compare, because they are really two totally different categories of boots. The Jim Greens (as well as the Bearfoot Bruins, while we're on the topic) are HEAVY DUTY WORK BOOTS. By contrast, these Origo Adventurers are casual stylish boots. Different categories/classes of boot, in my opinion.
Barefoot ?? The inside seams at the bottom of the lacing rubber on my feet sooo much.I can make these summer shoes work with super thick winter socks though. But in that case I need one size bigger.I'm sure this company never was in the shoe business before.
You must have high volume feet (the thickness from top to bottom) in that area at least. I don't have any similar experience. Curious--did you get their WIDE width, or regular width?
There is nothing wrong with the width. The problematic area is where the seams hold the 3 layers. There is no transition towards the toes where there is only one layer smooth fabric.
@@imregolenya5378 Wow that's crazy. I just felt inside there with my fingers and yeah I can see what you're talking about. The interesting thing is that I have pretty higher volume feet, and I haven't felt that part in the slightest, so I think my higher volume must kick in just above that area. I *LOVE* these shoes, they are easily in my top 10. So I'm guessing you have even higher volume feet than I do, but that's just a guess. You must have a pretty difficult time finding shoes that fit throughout your foot, because I do, and yours are even higher volume than mine, or so it seems. Out of curiosity, which shoes fit your feet best?
Very similar to xero kelso 😊
Nothing against Xero at all--I'm actually a Xero affiliate and really like the company. However, as far as MY taste, style-wise this one looks way better to me. And as far as fit, this is nearly a full centimeter wider than Xero. I can't even fit into Xero Shoes anymore, personally.
I came at 8:41
I"m diggin' the looks of these Josh, nice job from Splay.
Yeah these went a little upscale with the nice leather and suede. Width is great on a US men's 10.5 at 10.9cm wide on the insole. Volume is good, especially with the removable insoles removed. Thanks for commenting man!
Absolutely getting a pair of these this Friday . I didn’t even know these existed before I got your video in my feed. Your videos are always in depth and informative. I’ve found all of my new favorite shoes from your reviews! I’ll be using your promo code, thanks Josh!
Aww thanks I'm so glad you get something good out of my reviews! I'm too wordy for some people LOL, I can't help it. But yes, these boots are so beautiful. Please don't forget to save 10% by using my affiliate link: origoshoes.com/discount/ORIGOJOSH (they are actually in the process of changing their affiliate links right now, so that link may or may not work). However, if you use my discount code ORIGOJOSH at checkout, that will save you 10% for sure! Thank you again. You said you've found all of your new favorite shoes from my reviews. I'm just curious--which are your favorites?
@@barefootshoejoshdefinitely don’t think you’re to wordy, I’d much rather a reviewer talk more then not say enough and not get all the details! I am a big fan of soft star and the switchbacks since I am a boot girl and for more casual wear I love origo and Bohempia shoes. I am looking into getting some of the new Softstar sandals, I can’t remember what they are called lol but they are the ones that look like Birkenstocks! I don’t have SUPER wide feet but I like lots of space for my toes. I’ve been barefoot almost all my life so when it came to having to wear traditional shoes I went with flip flops or sandals because I hated the toe squish.
@@Blueberrybebecakes Oh cool those are some of my faves as well. And you're thinking of the Camino sandals from Softstar. Here's my review: ua-cam.com/video/oVh9e6uq_uM/v-deo.html I'm like you, I wear sandals a LOT for the sake of foot freedom. Have a great week and thanks for commenting!
Nice looking boot. I don't like foam, even a tiny bit, but otherwise it seems to be on point. I'm in about a dozen pair of barefoot shoes and boots and my Jim Greens are still my favorite. Super, super high volume, which I need with my massive instep. But these ones here look way dressier. Any chance you can yank that foam out?
Yes I like Jim Green boots for a work boot situation, heavy duty stuff, etc. They don't do affiliate stuff, and I don't really do the kind of work that would call for me to have a pair, so I haven't tried them. In regard to your question on ripping the cellfit foam insole out, I have to be honest with you--I don't know. I'm not one to try it and potentially ruin my boots. You might know more about shoes and feel comfortable doing that, and it might work great--I just don't know. They're super comfy the way they are, but I also appreciate that some people have a strong preference for certain materials. If you try it, let me know how it works out! If you end up getting some of these, please use my affiliate link: origoshoes.com/discount/ORIGOJOSH You may or may not also need my discount code ORIGOJOSH at checkout. Good luck!
Josh, thanks for responding. I will order the insoles. Wish they were there still included.
Sheep wool insoles ARE NOT included!
You say that sheep wool insoles come with boots but they DO NOT! LOVE the boots but was very disappointed that insoles are not included!
I made this video over two years ago; and at the time, the insoles came with them. Sometimes things change over time I guess.. but anyway, I hope you enjoy the boots! And btw, you can get insoles on Amazon or directly from Magical Shoes for a few bucks.
I'm so tempted by these boots. Years ago my daily shoe was a red wing boot that looked similar. They are one of the few pairs of shoes I kept after switching to barefoot shoes. I can no longer wear the red wings and have looked for something similar for ages. Thanks for the review!
Well you know my opinion--these things are beauties. If you end up getting some, please use my affiliate link that also saves you 10%: origoshoes.com/discount/ORIGOJOSH or you can just put in coupon code ORIGOJOSH during checkout..
can they be worn with classic white cotton socks? will socks drastically effect the fit?
Thanks for commenting. Of course you can rock some of these classic white socks. I wouldn't say that the socks "drastically" affect the fit of any shoe (except maybe thick wool socks for winter, hiking, etc.).. but you can sometimes feel a minor difference. I don't know enough about your feet in relation to this shoe to know if it would make much difference for you. If you end up getting some, please remember to save 10% by using my discount code: JOSHBAREFOOT .. Thanks!
Glad you made this. I have been looking at these online. I just bought whitin high tops that actually arrived today! I wear a 9 1/2 or a 42. Their 9 1/2 are 43 apparently so they feel a hair too big, but not bad. If i buy these, i may get the 8 1/2 (42) because they don't sell a standard 9. Great review!
Thanks for commenting. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Please use my affiliate link in the video description if you end up getting some. If you're new to barefoot shoes, they may feel large at first (as compared to conventional shoes); but you will probably find that your feet spread out and find the freedom they've been craving all along! So maybe wear those 9.5 for awhile before you decide to go smaller. But if you've been wearing barefoot shoes for awhile, and you know the 9.5 is too big, then I'd say go for a smaller size. To each their own though! Do your thing!
@barefootshoejosh yeah. I put them side by side to my other shoes like my 9 1/2 lems primal zen and they definitely are a hair big. I will leave the insole they came with in as it seems to fit better. However, these 43s on the whitins also seem to be the same size as my feel grounds patrol lite boots which read 42 so there's that haha. Great shie either way. Very roomy. Whitin also lists their 8 1/2 as a 42 so there's that. I just kind of took a chance on the 9 1/2 (43) since the sizing chart jumped so much and was unsure. Still very cozy and impressive for the price.
@@jeremebonesaw yes there is definitely some variance in sizing across different brands. Just in EU sizing, I have some 43, 44, 45 and 46! Just depends! Always best to know your foot measurements and the interior measurements of the shoe when making sizing decisions, when possible.
Are they true size... like I weak a 10.5 in Nike's would it be the same thing here
Sorry I just saw this.. yes they are pretty much true to size in my opinion.
I want to know how you laced up this shoe! I like it a lot
LOL I don't know--that's just how I've always laced my shoes; but if you pause it at 1:49 or so (and probably several other places), you can copy it, I'm sure. Enjoy!
Tried to use the affiliate link and it didn’t work 🥲
Is the tongue gusseted? Can they be waterproofed for winter? I am looking for a pair that would ideally be waterproofed and where I can add a wool/felt insole and 2 pair of wool socks for Canadian winter.

I clearly remember writing a reply to your comment a month ago; but for some reason I don't see it here at all :/ The tongue is not gusseted. Any leather can be waterproofed using third party waterproofing products like Sno Seal, etc. but rather than turning a beautiful casual boot into an extreme cold/wet weather boot, perhaps save these for the more dry/average days through three seasons, and buy a cold/wet weather boot for that winter misery. That's my two cents.

"Weatherproofing is advised for boots frequently exposed to snowy or rainy conditions." - Origo website. The tongues are not gusseted. The tongue starts right near the bottom lace holes. In my opinion, it's not really designed as a hardcore winter/waterproof boot. It's a stylish leather boot that is lightweight, minimalist, and is best suited for casual or semi-dress style in milder conditions.
The toebox looks incredibly wide, the only thing I'm asking for as rest of my feet is narrow! Very wide fan shaped feet need the love they deserve!
This might be a good fit for you then!
@@barefootshoejosh the one thing that might be lacking in this shoe is that the big toe side is quite rounded and not sloped. I have mountain pizza shaped feet with a big toe that is very straight. Their models seems to aims towards people with a second larger toe.
@@ErikPettersson-f7q I have to disagree here. Watch 10:15-10:20 and 10:40-10:50 again. They round the tip for mostly aesthetic reasons, but the space inside is very anti-bunion and allows for your big toe to be straight in line with your tarsals, provided that you buy the right size.
@@barefootshoejosh Yeah the shape looks wider from anything I've seen yet. I need to try these and size chart points me to EU 45. My toe width is 13 cm.
Thinking of trying these. How do you switch from traditional shoes to these? Should I start with a few hours per day?
@barefootshoejosh 0 seconds ago Transitioning to barefoot shoes is different for everyone. I started and that was that. I had no discomfort or anything. Quite the contrary, I couldn't believe that this is the kind of space my feet should have had all along. I began replacing all of my shoes with barefoot shoes, and I've been wearing them exclusively for about 12 years now. Some people need to transition more gradually. And this pair of shoes in particular is even less dramatic of a transition because the soles are pretty thick at 22mm. But yes, doing a few hours a day at first wouldn't hurt, then increase it a bit more as you continue on. You'll be rebuilding the strength in your arches that has atrophied over years of wearing arch support. That process happens differently for everyone; but doing in a way that feels best for you is what counts.
how have these held up? im looking at buying these (unlined version) or some jim greens for every day wear
Oh maaaannnnn.. they have an unlined version--I would **LOVE** a pair of those!! Anyway, these are SOOOO comfy. These and Jim Greens are two completely different boots. This is a casual, super comfy, stylish, thin-soled everyday boot... but if your "every day" consists of hard/dirty outdoor work, then the Jim Green is a tough, durable work boot--not really a comfy/casual boot that would be more suited for that kind of work day. Work boots have their place, as do comfy casual boots, but really two different worlds--which are you looking for? Anyway, if you end up getting the Magical, please use my link if the review helped you. bit.ly/joshmagical Also, if I was you, I would order a size up on these.
@@barefootshoejosh thank you so much for the detailed reply! im a student in socal but graduating in a year so not sure where ill be moving (if i end up doing so). ill most likely go into an office job so i doubt my "every day" will consist of a lot of outdoor work. i do enjoy hiking but i dont get to hike as much as i want to so theres that too. so to answer your question, i suppose i would just want a comfy boot and i feel that, like you, im not really much of a boot guy (but i just wanted something that looked nice and i have a small obsession with durability) so these would most likely be a better option. ill try buying them second hand but if not then ill definitely use your link!
@@terrysitti8362 you would be very lucky if you found these in second hand, unlined, in your size, in good condition! Good luck!
I tend to wear a 41 in Birchbury, Zaqq, Carets, and other brands. Any sense on the sizing? I have a low volume narrow foot.
They seem to be pretty true to size; but what are your foot length & width measurements? You should trace your foot (while putting your weight on it), then measure the width and length on the tracing so you know your measurements. Then, look at the sizing chart for the boots, and pick the size that gives you somewhere between 8-15mm extra space in the length. That's my two cents anyway.
I love the look of Origo shoes, but they kill me with the non removable foam insoles.💔
I hear you. Having the option to remove is always nice.. but that said, a total stack height of 10.5mm on a quality leather boot is really good.. I have barefoot sandals that are thicker than that.
