This Is trailer of The Wild Bunch. Tribute to one of my top 5 films of all time.
My favorite fun fact about this movie isn't that Eddie Egan really used to dress up as Santa during Christman when chasing perps, or that the car chase involved real accidents, or that Friedkin fired a gun on set, but that the founder of the fast food chain Chicken on the Run renamed his restaurants "Popeyes" after Gene Hackman's character. Yes, that Popeyes restaurant...
Two good films
Great actor i might not new Popeye but he was true detective GOD BLESS
Jesus! I wasn't expecting _The French Connection_ to be so spectacular! Gene Hackman's always so electrifying. One of the greatest films to have blessed the world of cinema, period. *22 December 2023*
This film was shown on BBC tv last week it has stood the test of time 52 years old i was far too young to see when it came out i was about 13/14 it an old X certitate then you hat to be 18 then the first time i saw on TV was about 1977/78 and BILLY Friedkin an amazing director
Today on the Radio i heard the song SELF CONTROL by the late Laura Branington the video for that was directed by one William Friedkin
It's like Lethal Weapon without the jokes!
Ι miss the French Connection! How many years it's been since I saw it, I can't even remember!
How good was this film. The car case was amazing. The walking 'chase' between Hackman and Rey was amazing. Just an absolute classic. Hackman, one of the greatest.
Bernard Fresson was brilliant in this sequel.
Did any else get here from mthe link?
The French Connection II is a masterpiece. Never ages. A classic film and Gene Hackman should have received another Oscar for his performance as Popeye Doyle.
The movie is one of the best films that was ever made.
This was a masterpiece
1:29 Popeye got out smarted. Haha. Stick to chasing jig purse snatchers.
In this film, Gene Hackman deserved the Academy Award much more than in the first French Connection.
Indeed, i wish this movie was recognized as the first one.
Absolutely agree, especially for the detox scene.
i wonder if Dennis Farina was the narrator for this preview?
The 50th anniversary of The French Connection US release is this year, the film.has and shall continue to stand the test of time.
French Connection II is better than the original. The original just has people walking around mostly and is a bit dull. This has more action.
h
i wishd im finnish popye doyle
It's a really good film . Spoiler alert - he gets kidnapped and they get him addicted to heroine . It's brilliantly done .
Been watching Carol Burnett show on Amazon Prime & at beginning of every episode, she introduces Ernie Anderson in the audience. Got me curious about him cause I had no idea who he was. I look him up & lo & behold, not only is he Paul Thomas Anderson's father but he was also the voice on TV from my childhood!!

time machine classic
Pretty good but far too long! The part where Doyle experiences his drug battle, is rather pointless and in questionable taste.
Miles better than the original in every way.
Alien abductions, or an impression.
If Hackman was better looking, he would of been in, Brando, Deniro territory.
Branod lost his good looks at a very young age, he was fat all the time and his face was very average.
"El Scotchio?"
Never seen any of them. Are they any good?? Considering how dated they now look.
Wait! Correct me if I'm wrong, but there was a sequel to this movie, portraying him, when goes to Marseille and is taken hostage by the drug lords (who were French/Corsican mob at the time) - and turn him into a junkie! This was actually based on a true story, that was filmed in the times when Carmine Galante hit the streets and took over the "connection" from the French and delivered it to the Bonanno's. Am I right?? I remember the scene when they kept him in this "dungeon" - chained to a bed, and were giving him smack day after day! It was a WAS FUCKING MORBID, VICIOUS movie!
...this was a Friedkin movie??...
Yes.
AWESOME!!
Eddie Egan doing the v.o.
Love part2 very real like part1 Hackmans acting some of his best Only downside was there was no mention of buddy anybody know why Roy S never reprised his role Also one plot hole how did dole ever Learn of Frog 1’s name sure if was never mentioned in part1 loved to have seen a part 3 where he’s back in charge of the narcotics team in New York
Maybe because he was making Jaws.
Holden, Borgnine and the rest. Such intense acting, unlike today. These pros could convey all that is needed with their eyes and face. They don't make movies like this anymore.
Gene Hackman, an actor of The Poseidon Adventure was in that movie also.
My # 1 duster movie ever ...49 years old and still almost 50 seeders on this torrent ,,,, thepiratebay.org/torrent/8894258/The.Wild.Bunch.1969.1080p.BluRay.x264.anoXmous

"Mayo, mayo, mayo, mayo!!!"
Doyle, come on an, that's a French word and you can't even get it right?
my 2 favorite Westerns: The Wild Bunch and High Plains Drifter
The Wild Bunch (1969).Classic Western.
Probably the best narcotics story ever told. read the book, it's a true story, the film takes few liberties and exaggerates some things., but it's still superb. the true story is amazing, anyone who has ever worked in law enforcement will be glued to the book and will tell you, this case was policing and investigation in its purest form. non of the gizmos available today, just pure detective work. it all came, as in the film, purely by chance, Elgar notices some players splashing the cash in a nightclub and his detective instincts take over... brilliant.
Tonight! It's the Man of Steel in action! America's greatest superhero! Marlon Brando, Gene Hackman, Valerie Perrine, Margot Kidder, and Christopher Reeve as "SUPERMAN"!
Love that opening. "Tonight!" Williams music kicks in and Clark pulls open his shirt to reveal the big "S." So cool.
arguably the best western ever
TThis movie is now аvаilablе too waatccсh hеre => twitter.com/f88f3883971729625/status/796185754128949248 TТTheeе Wild Bunch Trailer
methinks this sequel is pretty darn good
Westerns are boring
+villaparis2 No there awesome. P.S. Old movie trailers weren't that great as the movies were awesome!
The older I get the more I like this film , a gang who should had been dead a long time ago , now in a new century now older , and running out of space to hide. Their own gang member is head of the posse after them. To see the honor an bravery between these characters and the deadly choice they make at the end for a film made in what 69' was so ultra violent many Critics paned it when it came out an was years before the uncut version was available .
+Dan Reese It is very violent, even today it is still tough!
Jack the Ripper a Killer Slips Not is now available online featuring NEW EVIDENCE!
