      I've kept to Angel GT (and now GT II) mostly and like them. Mileage wise it's up to you how you ride, but I think the GT isn´t totally tire friendly kind of bike :-) . Can't give exact mileage.

    Because of this video, I bought the Remus for my SDGT. For mine (built in 2018) it was already EURO4 compliant. From this point on the DB-killer was welded into the exhaust. about 2 cm on the right and left side. I got him out anyway. 😁😍🎶🎵

    • @mavvegbg

    Honestly, this is a truly useless video clip. It’s shot in such high speed that one cannot actually see anything that has been done. You could simply summarise this video in a short paragraph: “Fit a tall touring windscreen, add panniers and a top box bracket and dropbox.“ Surely the point of eight video should be so that people can see what you were doing?

    • @mavvegbg
      @mavvegbg 5 років тому

      The intention of the video was to show the "transforming" of the GT from street style to more functional for touring and how it looks with some parts mounted. I hope you find step by step videos elsewhere and hope you have a nice day.

    • @gwilymhowes6422
      @gwilymhowes6422 5 років тому

      Martin Lindsten I never said I was looking for step by step videos. I have a GT and have fitted everything I need, I said THIS video serves no purpose at all. I mean take the top box and it’s mounting. You can’t even see the make! There is zero to learn from this fast forward sprint. Even your stated objective of showing what the bike looks like when fully dressed is largely missed. Even that is so quick one can take in very much. I got tired of stopping the video every few seconds so I could look at the bike properly. And if you want to run the clip at hyper speeds, why don’t you ar least speak? Tell us what parts you are fitting.

    I have always been an rr bike person and now that I am in a certain age (30+) I am looking for compromise. Been Super horny for this bike in a couple of the past weeks. Since new one is out of my budget I am casualy looking for a used one. Do you know if they are all the same, motor equipement etc. years 2016, 17, 18 ? And would you say its a good compromise with a good deal of RR dna in this bike ? Thanks a lot ...

      As for the different year models, I believe ´16 & ´17 are the same. The 2018 I don´t know. Since it´s a big v-twin, the motor character is pretty raw and might be a bit different from a typical R4. It´s really easy getting a big smile on your face when turning the throttle :-). I use for different purposes - commuting, sport touring and more active driving as well, and think it´s a really great bike. If possible do a test drive - don´t think you will get disappointed...

      The Mrs thinks it’s great for travelling. Of course she needs to get into place with a top box in place, but the comfort is great. I have also replaced the original seats (never tried the original) and also the small “pillow” on the top box for the passenger. Her earlier references are the Honda VFR800, Honda super black bird, Honda Varadero etc, but she feels this is absolutely a good comfort level as a passenger

    Hi. Now that you've had the bike for a while with the Puig touring screen plus the MRA X-creen, what are your impressions for wind/rain protection, noise and buffeting compared to the original screen? How does the Puig do without the X-creen? How tall are you? I just bought a 2016 SDGT and I plan to do a lot of sport touring. I like the original windscreen--although there is a fair amount of wind with it, it is clean without much buffeting and noise. But if the Puig reduces wind/rain a lot without too much buffeting and noise, I will switch. Thanks!

    • @mrlars3166
      @mrlars3166 7 років тому

      Hi! At first I only got the Puig screen and although it reduced the wind, it still wasn´t giving the effect I hoped for, so I added the MRA screen. Together they give a really good effect reducing wind/buff./noise (I´m 180 cm). The MRA screen is also adjustable, so you can "fold" it down to the touring screen, if not needed. I prefer the more half naked style/look with the OEM screen for everyday use (not sitting behind a big screen), and only use the PUIG+MRA for touring purposes, where I prefer not being in the wind for whole days of driving. Since it´s so easy to switch, it doesn´t bother me doing the 10 min switch when it´s needed.
