theres more proof shortcat is him in one of shortcats videos he learns a glitch from someone in mario kart wii and says he learnt the glitch before but wasnt that consistent at it in jperms video when he played mario kart wii he does the exact glitch but hesitates a bit (probably hecause he wasnt consistent)

Proof that j perm is actually shortcat ua-cam.com/video/QBgqNMP7eLQ/v-deo.html if you watch this video at the time 7.10 you can hear him saying mario cart minigame so what that means is that he have known this game for a long and when he got burnt out in cubing he wanted a change and went to his favourite game mario cart and thus he started shortcat. It's the competitive nature of gaming unfortunately. This happens at every soccer, basketball games, and piano, speech contests. Don't place this on one person to make a viral video out of, let them deal with their competitiveness at their own Accord and don't judge if we can't see the entire picture.

I think one way we could fix the judging problem would be to mandate newcomers to come early to the competitions, for a more in-depth judging tutorial. How this could work is the newcomers practice judging non-official solves for more experienced cubers (like delegates). So the more experienced cubers can give them feedback on things that they may be doing wrong.

I watched a video of ShortCat's not watching TriCubing's video, and when I heard his voice I immidiatly recognized the voice as jperm's. I had no idea that other people had caught this and I am glad others agree, but I feel bad for contributing to the annoyence. Sorry Jperm.

Very well said! It’s a total misconception that cubing is dying. There are more and more people discovering the cubing community every year and it’s great to see! Twistypuzzles in general have so many avenues beyond simply competing and thats not going away anytime soon. Even if some big channels stop uploading.. Or disappear 👀
