2 and 3 was how i started and love them, actually enjoy the slower pace of the battles, now the games have so much going on in a short space of time like concentrating on fighting and also trying and missing all the updates from officers on the battlefield. Quick shout out for Dynasty tactics... they were also awesome games.

I’d recommend going back to Dynasty Warriors 4 Empires. There is more strategy that you said there was in the video. It’s the only one ive played. Also…. C TIER?!?? WHAT. You gotta take more time playing

Dynasty warriors 2 was my fave purely by the fact I could drag every single unit to the end and kill them all in one go :)

do not buy any dinasty warrior, best option play the samurai warrior 2 is better than all dynasty warriors. ok los peores son el 7, el 8 y el 6 el de pc. el mejor es el 5 y 6 pero de play 2 con el 4 hyper para pc. el 6 de pc no es el mismo de play 2, el de pc es asqueroso, no tanto como la boca de liu bei en el 7

Cai wenji is also one of my other favorites she is so beautiful and strong and totally cool! even though she was a sad prisoner most of her life this is one of the things I was saying earlier about those sad times but it makes the game tug at your heartstrings...I LIVE DYNASTY WARRIORS ALWAYS!

I'm sure in an advanced game like this the cloning fighting issue will be fixed for the next game...as far as guan yu (guan gong) goes he is absolutely my favorite character whenever I used to go Chinatown and see a statue of him I was absolutely memorized he is so awesome and mysterious!

And by other games I mean games like silent Hill and GTA again these games don't hide the brutal nature of events which is totally cool and awesome so why shouldn' tthe dynasty warriors series follow suit...?

But on the other hand yes I have noticed that dynasty warriors does sometimes in some games "sugarcoat" brutal events and I don't understand why? If those were the times and others games don't do this...why not just show the events as they happened it would certainly lend more to the realism and be way cooler

I haven't played any DW before so I don't really know how much control over ally units you have but the part where the player was commanding an arrow unit to fire (not shown on this video, but the previous one on the channel) reminded me of Koei's "Battlestorm: Hunderd Year's War", which is the only game of them I have played. That game always felt to me like a proof of concept game. It's a really chill game, very simple and repetitive but chill. I don't remember which channel I watched (maybe this one? I have binge watched so many DW videos...) that said something along the lines of "DW5 XL has this mode where you start as a regular and grow up to become a general, its the only DW that has it and its really good, free money right there" Looks like this game aims to go in that direction?

8 is not bad but you do have to play on the hardest setting. 9 empires is S++++++ tier. Only one better than 5 the OG

Playing 5 XL again, it definitely deserves the top spot. Yes DW3 put DW on the path to success and we should acknowledge it but DW5 XL feels peak of the franchise still. The whole your forces absolutely mean nothing, you are a 1 man army that goes officer to officer needs to stop.

I personally loved the health the pawns had in dw2 and i hated the damage. Either way it had to be dmg or health not both bc jfc

Recently I've been enjoying 9E and even finish multiple playthrough. What you said is absolutely right, the character creation is super frustrating when you're trying to edit/create a character. The outfit is always a miss unless you use the same top and bottom, i also hate that some armor goes on top of your costume instead of removing it which can make the outfit look weird and ugly. As for the Grand Secret Plans, is it super easy if you're playing on normal difficulty, but on chaos i failed so many and the enemies got off so many even with highest tier weapon. The number of troops(can also be consider as Morale) also affect the damage you do to officers. Not sure if it's just me but in chaos, the more areas you hold the more invasion you get from surrounding enemy kingdom. It can reach a point where you're endlessly upgrading defense or defending areas which still ultimately lose some cause you don't have enough troops to win the battle. Battle wise, i think siege battle is pretty much the only thing they can do, i mean the game is based off 9 which is an empty open world. The map has already been designed and they probably won't spend extra money to redesign for a spin off game. One thing I'll credit them for is so far none of my children turn out to be ugly😂

In The Capcom game Onimusha Dawn of Dreans you had 2 discs and you had to change the disc in a certain moment of the game. There is non other capcom game i know that had disc changing.

I used to rent the original from Blockbuster almost every weekend, and I put hundreds of hours into it. After already putting 50+ hours into the remake I can say it’s super close to the original and extremely fun if you like the series. 100% worth it imo

Im a little confused. Was DW2 tactics not a main series. Story was immaculate and very well put. Combat was great and actually took strategic movement and combos that mattered. Imo one of the best DW games out there 🤷🏽‍♂️

Is edit mode any good? How many characters can you create? Can you edit cities/forces like in 14's Expansion?
